Abstract

Microorganisms of Azotobacter and/or Azospirillum type are grown in orbital incubations in a culture medium contg. a saline concn. and sugar to which iron in reduced state is added at around pH 7.4 and at least 30 deg.C, with stirring at 160 rpm minimum for over 160 hours. Alternatively the cell cultures are submerged in the medium for at least 50 hours at around 30 deg.C.
