Abstract

In an armature of DC motor, both end parts of an armature coil 4, which project from an armature core 3, are held by a commutator spider 7 and an armature spider 5, respectively and each of these spiders includes a non-magnetic member 7A, 7B in a part proximate to each of the end parts. Alternatively the spiders may comprise non-magnetic material. Insulation 22 may be provided between the spider 5 and the end turns 4A, a glass binder 23 surrounding the end turns.
