THEREFORE, CERAMIC PARTICLES OF NITRIDE OR CARBIDE ARE COATED WITH DENSIFICATION ATTACHMENTS, SUCH AS ITRIA, BY THE PRECIPITATED SURFACE OF THE CORRESPONDING HYDROXIDES IN CERAMIC PARTICLES IN WATER. CERAMIC POWDERS PREPARED IN THIS WAY ARE DENSIFIED TO PROVIDE PRODUCTS WITH BREAKING MODULES AND FRACTURE RESISTANCE AT LEAST AS HIGH AS THAT OF POWDERS CRUSHED CONVENTIONALLY IN ALCOHOL WITH LOWER AMOUNTS OF DENSIFICATION ADDAMENTS.
