Abstract

A sliding ring with a roller intended to join a seine with a slide to a sliding rope includes a frame (76) and a roller (26) mounted across the frame (76). The roller (26) allows a rolling contact with the sliding rope when the sliding rope is gathered in during seine fishing operations. The frame of the roller is produced with an inclined arm (38) for releasing the cable which can be pivoted out of the plane of the sliding ring to facilitate insertion and removal of the sliding rope. A transverse bar (73) is also fixed across the frame (76) and forms an opening for connecting the sliding ring to a hanging line or to other means for connection to the seine.
