LAS PARTICULAS DE MATERIAL VITREO SON ESFERULIZADAS Y SELECCIONADAS DE ACUERDO CON SUS PROPIEDADES GRANULOMETRICAS, DE ACUERDO CON EL GRADO DE COMPACIDAD REQUERIDO EN EL CUERPO DE ESMALTE ACABADO. UN TAL CUERPO DE ESMALTE ACABADO PUEDE SER UN REVESTIMIENTO, POR EJEMPLO UN REVESTIMIENTO DE ESMALTE DE ALTA COMPACIDAD EN UNA BAÑERA, O UN CUERPO AUTOPORTANTE, POR EJEMPLO UN ELEMENTO DE FILTRO VITREO POROSO.
