Abstract
1. Device for the introduction of a parietal probe into a reducing-smelting furnace, especially a blast furnace, comprising a sealing assembly consisting of a valve and of a stuffing-box which are connected sealingly to one another and to an orifice passing through the wall of the furnace and which are aligned so as to allow the passage of the probe when the valve is opened, the said device being characterized in that it also possesses an assembly (7) with a shutter (71), located between the said sealing assembly (2) and the orifice (11) passing through the wall (12) of the furnace (1), the seat (72) of the said shutter being carried by a shutter body (73) equipped with means (80 to 84) for controlling the shutter and allowing the retraction of the shutter into the opening position in order to open the way completely for the passage of the probe.
