Abstract

Improvements in apparatus for generating oxygen/hydrogen gas. In apparatus for generating oxygen/hydrogen gas which essentially comprise at least an electrolytic chamber 1 in which water is electrolysed, a water tank 2 and a vaporiser 3, the improvements are characterised in that they provide a magnetic filter 10, which includes at least one magnetising device 18-20 which creates a magnetic field which holds back impurities, between the water inlet and the at least one chamber. The magnetic filter 10 comprises a sealed enclosure 11 provided with an inlet 12 and an outlet 13 for water at both ends and is divided by a plurality of transverse walls 14, 15, 16 and also comprises a support 17 in which a plurality of magnetising devices 18-21 are located in positions beneath each of the compartments defined by the walls. Impurities are prevented from passing into the chamber or chambers causing deterioration in their function. <IMAGE>
