Abstract

A vehicle body supporting structure comprises a rigid platform (4) pivotally connected to the mid-points of a four member (5, 6, 7) warpable chassis surrounding the platform. The two chassis members (5, 6) (5, 7) meeting at each corner of the chassis are interconnected by a shackle (20) comprising a short rigid strap (21), a part spherical housing (22) at each end of the strap, an eye member (23) able to rotate and swivel within each housing and a pin (24, 25) extending from each of the two members (5, 6) (5, 7) through the respective eye members (23), whereby the effective lengths of the two chassis members and the included angle between them may freely vary as the chassis warps.
