Abstract

Installation which comprises a certain number of adsorption vessels for recovering the metallic elements from a solution of pulp or leaching, by means of adsorption of carbon in pulp or resin in pulp. Each vessel includes a container which has an inlet hole and outlet hole, a screen arranged between the inlet hole and the outlet hole, impeller adapted to force the liquid which enters the container through the inlet hole to pass via the screen and to exit via the outlet hole. The installation includes a conduit for selectively introducing a pulp or leaching solution laden with metal in each adsorption vessel. The supply of the pulp or leaching solution to a specific vessel may be interrupted in order to remove the metal-laden resin or carbon from the vessel. The same conduit returns the depleted pulp or leaching solution from one vessel to another adsorption vessel.
