Abstract
A modified paper contains cellulose film substituted with a N-methylol compound, e.g. methyloldihydroxyethyleneureas and methylolacetylenediureas, and which additionally contains an organic polymer, e.g. polyethylene glycol. An aqueous solution of the compound, polymer and glycol may be applied to the paper sheet. The paper has a good rot resistance and tenacity without brittleness. The paper is in particular suitable for raw-material for plant-growing cell systems.
