Abstract

This machine is of the type comprising a rotary platform 1, 2 on which the product to be packaged is placed, a reel 3 carrying the rolled-up film, a braking roller 4 via which the film passes, a vertical column 5 arranged in the vicinity of the platform 1, 2 and with the aid of which the said reel 3 and roller 4 are displaced simultaneously with the rotation of the platform 1, 2, a grasping and cutting device 6 intended to hold and cut the film, and control means intended to synchronise the various movements. According to the invention, it comprises a pair of platforms 1, 2 and a single column 5 provided with the grasping and cutting device 6 and with suitable rotational means, this column being displaced automatically from one platform 1 to the other 2 when packaging is completed on one of them.
