PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA ESTABILIZACION DE LAMINAS DE POLIETILENO, O DE UN COPOLIMERIZADO CON UN MINIMO DE 80% EN PESO DE ETILENO. EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN AÑADIR AL POLIETILENO O AL COPOLIMERO: A) UN PROTECTOR DE LA LUZ DE LA CLASE DE AMINAS INHIBIDAS ESTERICAMENTE, CON UN PESO MOLECULAR DE MAS DE 600 Y B) UN PROTECTOR DE LA LUZ DE LA CLASE DE LOS 2-(2-HIDROXIFENIL)-BENZOTRIAZOLES, EN UNA RELACION DE PESO A:B DE 20:1 HASTA 1:4. LA CANTIDAD DE ESTA MEZCLA DE PROTECTORES ES DE 0,01 A 5% EN PESO DE POLIMERO. COMO EJEMPLO DE PROTECTOR A) SE CITAN UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA VII, EN DONDE R1 ES UN ALQUILO CON 1-8 CARBONOS Y R2 ES HIDROGENO, METILO, 2-HIDROXIETILO, 2-HIDROXIPROPILO, ALILO, BENCILO O ACETILO. COMO EJEMPLO DE PROTECTOR B) SE CITA UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA VIII, EN DONDE X ES HIDROGENO O CLORO, R1 ES HIDROGENO, ALQUILO O ARALQUILO Y R2 ES ALQUILO, ARALQUILO O UN -CH2-CH2-COOOR3, SIENDO R3 UN ALQUILO INTERRUMPIDO POR O. ESTOS COMPUESTOS SE UTILIZAN PARA PROTEGER FRENTE A LA LUZ LAMINAS DE POLIETILENO O DE OTROS COPOLIMERIZADOS.
