Abstract

A coupling hook for a tractor linkage, comprising a body which affords a jaw for receiving a member to be coupled, and a pawl for retaining the member in the jaw of the hook. The pawl 16 is pivotally mounted to the body of the hook and has a portion 27 which is engageable with an abutment surface 29 in the body of the hook, the pivotal mounting of the pawl to the body having a clearance so that forces on the pawl in use are reacted against the abutment surface of the body rather than against the pawl pivot.
