Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A pyrazole-oxime derivative expressed by formula, I (R is H, lower alkyl or phenyl R1 and R2 are H, lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl or aryl X is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl or methylenedioxy n is 1 or 2). EXAMPLE:5-Phenoxy-4-hydroxyiminomethyl-1,3-dimethylpyrazole. USE:Useful as a synthetic intermediate for medicines and agricultural chemicals. The individual compound is a useful compound having germicidal activity. PREPARATION:A pyrazole expressed by formula II is reacted with hydroxylamine in the presence of a base, e.g. sodium carbonate, in a solvent, e.g. methanol, to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. The compound expressed by formula II is synthesized by reacting a compound expressed by formula III (Hal is halogen) with a phenolic derivative expressed by formula IV (M is H, etc.).
