Abstract
Horno rotatorio para el desengrase de virutas metálicas; que comprende una carcasa cilíndrica sustancialmente en posición horizontal, que lleva un extremo de entrada y un extremo de descarga para el material a tratar, estando previstos elementos para efectuar la rotación de la carcasa que se encuentra ligeramente inclinada hacia abajo, o sea desde el extremo de carga hasta el extremo de descarga, estando dotada de dispositivos para la carga de la chatarra de metal por el extremo de carga y su descarga por el extremo de descarga, estando montado dentro de la carcasa un quemador cuyos orificios de salida se extienden por toda la longitud de la carcasa, estando previstos elementos que controlan el suministro de combustible y aire al quemador en tal grado que no se suministra exceso de aire a la carcasa exponiéndose así el metal de desperdicio a la pirolisis en una atmósfera pobre.
