Abstract

Una instalación para mantener y alimentar animales en un ambiente cerrado, que comprende una estructura de múltiples plantas para el alojamiento de los animales, comprendiendo cada una de dichas plantas en dicha estructura una pluralidad de corralillos modulares de confinamiento de animales dispuestos circunferencialmente en torno a un área central y contiguos uno con otro medios dentro de dicha área central para dar acceso a dichos corralillos modulares de confinamiento inmediatamente adyacentes a ellos, incluyendo, dichos corralillos de confinamiento modulares un piso de rejilla de malla abierta en toda la extensión de cada corralillo, siendo la rejilla de malla abierta citada suficientemente pequeña para soportar a un animal sobre ella en forma cómoda mientras permite todavía el libre paso de la luz y del aire de ventilación a su través; incluyendo cada uno de dichos corralillos, además, medios para recoger y retirar los productos residuales o de desperdicio de los animales, que caen a través de dicha rejilla de malla abierta del piso, y medios para proporcionar un suministro continuo de alimento a los animales confinados en cada uno de dichos corralillos.
