TECHNICAL SECTOR

The present invention relates to a cardboard packaging that, although initially intended for the marketing of detergent capsules, could also be applicable in other areas where similar features are required.

The object of the invention is to provide a container that has stable and secure closing means, which prevent accidental opening of the container, and which require an unintuitive maneuver that prevents access to its contents by children.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the preferred field of application of the invention, that of detergent capsules, these are supplied in plastic containers mainly because this type of product can be very dangerous for children if they have access to them, so this type of containers include opening means that require a certain skill that makes it unlikely that children will be able to open them.

However, the plastic nature of this type of packaging poses a clear ecological problem, so marketing it in cardboard packaging would be the solution to this environmental problem.

In an attempt to avoid this problem, the applicant himself is the holder of the invention patent WO2024084119, which describes a cardboard packaging that partially coincides with the packaging of the present invention, but which included locking means that were not very ergonomic, making it difficult to open even for adults.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The recommended cardboard packaging fully resolves the aforementioned problem, based on a simple but effective solution.

To this end, and more specifically, the packaging of the invention is formed from the development of a die-cut cardboard sheet with folding lines in which a rectangular sector is defined that determines the bottom of the packaging, from whose larger sides emerge two essentially rectangular sectors that determine the internal side walls of the packaging, while from its front end emerges a rectangular sector that extends laterally into two rectangular tabs that are fixed to the internal side walls of the packaging, determining the seat for the sides of the folding lid of the packaging, which emerges from the upper edge of said quadrangular sector, materialized based on a central rectangular sector and two lateral appendages in the form of an arched sector that are arranged perpendicular to the main sector, determining means for guiding and limiting the degree of opening of the lid, which will occupy an upper lateral position in the packaging.

Said lid will finally include an upper expansion in the form of a skirt, as a retaining element for the products contained within it and which is stabilized through two side tabs that are fixed laterally and internally to the skirt, emerging from the arched lateral sectors of the lid.

The aforementioned bottom extends posteriorly into another rectangular section, which will determine the rear wall of the container, and which extends into two lateral rectangular sections that will define the external side walls of the container.

In this way, the container defines a double wall between which the lateral appendages of the folding lid are guided, which are arranged between said pairs of walls, the external walls having notches corresponding to their front and free edge, above and below which rectangular appendages are established that fold internally, defining a stepped sector in which a tab created on the lateral appendages of the lid is intended to be embedded through a "C" die-cut that folds externally and anteriorly, so that said security tab has a greater height than the side window that gives access to this element, so that the ends of the same are embedded in the previously described staggering, being necessary to manually press on this element to unpeg it from the step and release the lid, maneuver that must be done synchronously on both sides of the box to release both security elements synchronously, maneuver that is not at all intuitive for a child.

For its part, the determining sector of the rear wall extends superiorly in a trapezoidal sector that folds internally on said wall, including two lateral tabs that, when assembling the container, fit into two staggered recesses provided in correspondence with the upper end of the rear lateral edge of the internal lateral walls, which constitutes a security system that blocks these walls, which are lower than the external walls, preventing them from moving superiorly if an attempt is made to force the box.

As for the external side walls, these are finished at the top in separate sections that fold orthogonally over them and are fixed together to define the closed upper face of the container.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the figures shown, it can be observed how the packaging of the invention is formed from the development of a die-cut cardboard sheet with folding lines, in which a rectangular sector is defined that determines the bottom (1) of the packaging, from whose larger sides emerge two essentially rectangular sectors that determine the internal side walls (2) of the packaging, while from its front end emerges a rectangular sector (3) that extends laterally into two rectangular tabs (4) that are fixed to the internal side walls (2) of the packaging, such that its vertical edge defines the seat or folding limit for the lid thereof, as will be seen later.

More specifically, the folding cover emerges from the upper edge of the quadrangular sector (3), and is made up of a central rectangular sector (5) and two lateral appendages in the form of an arched sector (6) that are arranged perpendicular to the main sector, determining means of guiding and limiting the degree of opening of the cover.

Thus, as can be seen in figures 9 and 10, the lid will occupy an upper lateral position on the container.

For its part, the upper edge of the lid ends in a narrow skirt (7) that is connected to the arched sectors (6) through tabs (8) emerging from them, its final configuration being observed in figure 10, determining a retention element for the products contained within the container when it is tilted with the lid open.

As for the bottom (1), it extends in a posterior direction in another rectangular sector, which will determine the rear wall (9) of the container, and which extends in two lateral rectangular sectors that will define the external lateral walls (10) of the container.

The determining sector of the rear wall (9) extends superiorly in a trapezoidal sector (13) that folds internally on said wall, including lateral tabs (11), as well as stepped recesses (17) provided in correspondence with the upper end of the rear lateral edge of the internal lateral walls (2) that allow the entry of the skirt (7) when closing the case, defining a locking means for them.

For their part, the external side walls (10) are finished at the top in rectangular sectors (12) that, after being folded orthogonally and fixed together, define the closed upper wall or base of the container.

Based on this structure, the container defines a double wall between which the arched sectors (6) of the folding lid are guided, which are arranged between said pairs of walls.

As for the locking means of the lid, it has been provided that the external side walls (10) have some notches (15) in correspondence with their front and free edge above and below which are established internally two locking elements (16), which in the embodiment example are materialized in two rectangular appendages that fold internally, although they could be constituted from independent pieces stamped and fixed on this area, defining in any case a stepped sector in which a security tab (14) is intended to be locked, obtained on the arched sectors (6) by means of two "C" shaped die-cuts that fold externally and in the front direction, as shown in figure 6, so that according to figure 9, said security tab (14) has a height greater than the side window or notch (15) that gives access to this element, so that the ends of the same are locked in the lid closing manoeuvre in the internal scaling formed by the rectangular appendages (16), making it necessary to manually press on said safety tabs (14) in a synchronised manner to release the lid, in accordance with what is shown in figure 10, a manoeuvre which, as previously stated, is not intuitive for a child, thus offering an extremely safe container.

Finally, to facilitate the extraction maneuvers of the folding cover, in the folding line that is defined between the central rectangular sector (5) and the skirt (7) an inverted “U” die-cut will be incorporated which, when folding said skirt, will generate a fingernail (18) that facilitates the extraction of the cover once unlocked.
