DESCRIPTION

Multipurpose and multifunction device for the assembly and disassembly of mechanical and electrical parts

The object of the present invention is a multipurpose and multifunction device capable of facilitating the assembly or assembly and disassembly or disassembly of different and multiple mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and similar parts of a generic product.

The invention, therefore, falls within any sector of the technique that includes the assembly and disassembly of different components for the production of any complex product.

More in detail, the present invention refers to a multipurpose and multifunction device provided with a plurality of selectable and adapted tools to allow ordinary and/or extraordinary maintenance of different vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, bicycles or the like, and/or electrical appliances and/or similar.

What is illustrated here, therefore, can advantageously be extended to any technical field that involves the assembly of components.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

It is known that, in environments intended for maintenance, whether of more or less complex components, mechanical, electrical or similar, it is particularly convenient to have an instrument that incorporates and makes available, when necessary, a plurality of tools useful for disassembling or disassembling and/or reassembling or assembling said components and/or parts thereof.

It is clear that such an instrument facilitates the operator by providing, from time to time, the possibility of selecting and using the most appropriate tools for the type of operation being performed.

For example, multipurpose instruments equipped with a handle and a head provided with a plurality of bushings, each capable of cooperating with a screw, are known. specific; in particular, each socket cooperates with a respective screw size. See for example US Patent 1,811,137 A.

However, said multipurpose instruments offer a limited combination of tools since said head can incorporate a limited number of sockets; generally, a maximum number of four bushings is provided.

Taking into account the wide range of screws, nuts and bolts available on the market and the range of sizes they cover, it can be understood that such combinations of tools are insufficient to fully assist and facilitate the operator's task.

Such drawback forces the operator to have a range of instruments capable of satisfying, at all times, the different assembly/disassembly needs required by the type of intervention or the type of product.

In fact, it must be taken into account that each brand or manufacturer uses screws, nuts, bolts or similar, of different types or sizes and, therefore, the same instrument may not be compatible and useful for interventions on products of different brands or between different models of the same brand.

As is known, therefore, the operator must equip himself with a variety of multipurpose instruments that allow to face and solve the intervention and, in case they are insufficient, he must have with him the necessary tools, possibly placed in a suitable toolbox.

The operator is therefore forced to have the toolbox close at hand and therefore induced to carry it with him.

In recent years, suitable solutions have been sought to reduce the number of tools that the operator must carry with them in order to limit their weight and size.

For example, multipurpose tools made ad hoc for the technical sector in which the operator intervenes have been proposed, as described in the documents of the state of the art US 2008/034929 A1 and/or DE 29605735 U1 and/or US 8430003 B1 and/or US 9770820 B1.

However, given the considerable variety of factories with regard to the type and size of screws or nuts, even such solutions are inadequate and require the operator to carry additional instruments and tools.

Such drawback is strongly felt in those sectors where the intervention times must be extremely fast and precise.

For example, let's think about the field of automobile, motorcycle or cycling competitions, whether they are amateurs or professionals.

In such a situation, the operator's intervention time is essential for the achievement and achievement of the objectives set.

In addition, it must be taken into account that it is not always possible to operate inside an equipped box or garage and, therefore, the operator must intervene in the place where the breakage or malfunction of the vehicle occurred.

In such a case, the operator should bring a well-stocked and varied toolbox with him and transport it to the site in order to have all potentially useful tools close at hand and to be able to intervene successfully.

In general, therefore, the use of a well-stocked toolbox or a range of multifunctional instruments allows the operator to adequately face the intervention, but slows down his operating times due to the greater weight and the greater number of tools with which he or she must work, interact and search.

Finding tools can cause delays, especially if the tools were misplaced during previous use.

In addition, the transport of this type of instruments/tools is not always easy and in the case of external interventions it is strongly affected by the conditions and hostilities of the terrain.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to obviate this type of drawbacks of the multifunction tools of the prior art, providing a versatile, multifunctional and multipurpose device capable of providing the operator with a greater combination of tools.

Another object of the present invention, at least for one or more embodiment variants, is to provide a multifunction and versatile device equipped with a plurality of ad hoc tools for the technical competition sector or for any type of intervention.

Another object of the present invention, at least for one or more embodiment variants, is to provide a lightweight and compact multifunction and multipurpose device capable of performing interventions in different technical sectors.

These and other objects, which will appear clearly below, are achieved with a multipurpose device according to claim 1.

Other objects can also be achieved through the additional features of the dependent claims.

CONCRETE PERFORMANCE OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

The features of the invention are now described using the references in the figures.

It is also noted that any dimensional and spatial terms (such as "bottom," "top," "inside," "outside," "front," "back," vertical, horizontal, and the like) refer to the position according to which substantially the elements are arranged in operating condition.

In order to highlight some characteristics rather than others, what is described in the attached drawings is not necessarily to scale.

It should be noted that the mentioned figures, although schematic, reproduce the elements of the invention according to proportions between their dimensions and spatial orientations compatible with a possible embodiment.

From now on, the term "tool" should be understood as any instrument or equipment that can be used in closed environments such as workshops, laboratories, artisan workshops or similar, or in open or outdoor environments for external interventions, for the assembly and/or disassembly of generic components or parts thereof.

Without being restrictive or limiting, in the following description reference will be made to a multipurpose, multipurpose, polyvalent and multifunction device designed and used preferably in the motorcycle sector, particularly in the motorcycle racing sector, it being understood that what is illustrated here It can be extended, with the appropriate devices, to any technical sector, be it amateur, competitive or professional.

From now on, the term "screw" must be understood as any type of temporary locking means, such as hexagonal, allen, torx, etc., whose assembly/disassembly is performed using a tool.

Number 1 indicates the multipurpose and multifunction device as a whole according to the present invention, hereinafter referred to only as device 1 for simplicity of description.

In general, the device 1 comprises at least one gripping means 4, substantially a handle or grip or the like, and at least one selector head 2 provided with at least one set of tools 20 equipped with at least one tool 200.

According to a preferred variant, the picking head 2 is provided with at least one support arm 21, preferably at least two support arms 21, to which said set of tools 20 is rotatably attached by a support pin 22 .

The group of tools 20 can advantageously comprise a plurality of tools 200 suitably arranged with respect to one another.

Said support pin 22 is capable of restraining the set of tools 20 to the support arms 21 to allow rotations and allow the operator to select the desired tools 200.

According to a possible embodiment variant, said tools are arranged "transversally", in the case that four tools are provided, or "radially", in the event that tools are provided in a number other than four, and by the rotation of the tool set 20, the user selects the desired tool 200 according to the occasion.

Said set of tools 20 can advantageously be provided with:

- homogeneous tools 200, that is, all the tools 200 provided by the set of tools 20 belong to the same category of tools and differ from each other only in size, for example, a socket wrench of different sizes; - heterogeneous tools 200, that is, the tools 200 provided by the tool set 20 belong to different categories of tools, for example, when providing inserts or socket, allen, torx, etc. keys.

According to a possible variant of embodiment, said selector head 2 is releasably coupled to said handle 4, in particular the selector head 2 is mountable/removable from the same handle 4 by means of, for example, a form coupling, a bayonet coupling , screwed/unscrewed or similar.

The disassembly of the selector head 2 allows the operator to replace the same head and equip the device 1 with the most suitable set of tools 200 for the intervention to be carried out or for the technical competition sector or in general for the needs or functions of the same operator.

The device 1 according to the present invention is characterized in that the handle 4 is provided with at least one seat 40 which advantageously acts as a housing for at least one auxiliary tool 240.

According to a preferred embodiment, said handle 4 is provided with a plurality of seats 40, each one shaped and dedicated to the housing of a specific auxiliary tool 240.

According to possible embodiments, said one or more auxiliary tools 240 may comprise different types of tools such as screwdrivers, hook-shaped means or key extractors, O-rings or the like, and/or tips, inserts or bushings with shears, profiles in cross-shaped, socket head, torx or similar, extensions for keys or similar equipment.

In addition, said auxiliary tools 240 can be of the appropriate type to allow interventions in the field of model building or similar sectors, for example, microtools and/or precision tools.

According to a possible alternative embodiment, said one or more seats 40 are made inside said handle 4.

Preferably, said one or more seats 40 are obtained and arranged in the vicinity of the handle 4 adapted to cooperate with the selector head 2.

Said seats 40 can be reached and accessible by disassembling and removing said selector head 2.

Advantageously, said selector head 2 is provided with a cavity 210 configured to house and receive the end of the handle 4 and any auxiliary tool 240 housed therein.

The handle 4 according to the present invention therefore offers the possibility of equipping the device 1 with one or more auxiliary tools 240 in order to increase the usefulness of the same device 1 and provide the operator with additional tools to deal with the intervention.

With the same dimensions, therefore, the device according to the present invention can be equipped with a greater number of tools, increasing the availability and choice of the same tools offered to the operator.

Advantageously, said handle 4 can be provided with at least one special seat 41 adapted to accommodate special tools such as a key for the suspension adjustment ring nut, or a cutter or the like.

According to a possible variant of embodiment, not illustrated, said handle 4 can also be made of modules that can be coupled together, each of said modules being advantageously provided with at least one seat 40 and/or 41 or a part thereof.

The coupling of said modules makes it possible to vary the length of the handle 4 and at the same time offers the possibility of further increasing the number of auxiliary tools 240 housed inside the device 1.

In addition, according to another variant of the invention (not illustrated), nothing prevents said handle 4 from consisting of a hollow tubular element capable of housing in it at least one or more washers of appropriate thickness (or similar elements), each equipped with a or more of the seats 40 and/or 41 mentioned above to support auxiliary tools 240 and/or special.

Said washers can be removable from the handle 4 and can also be used as extensions or adapters to be mounted on at least one selector head 2 of the multipurpose device 1 of the invention and on which said auxiliaries 240 and/or special tools are properly coupled. and coupled to be used.

In particular, it has been found advantageous to install said washers (for example, by interlocking and/or form engagement) on one or more of the tools 200 of the at least one selector head 2 (and/or, as will be seen, on the tools 300 of a second selector head 3) of the multipurpose device 1 to be used as adapters and/or extensions for special inserts and/or keys, for example, in the area of engine work, for known inserts and/or suitable keys For the assembly/disassembly or assembly/disassembly of the spark plug of a 2 or 4-stroke engine.

Having been treated so far in its minimal and essential form, a preferred variant of the device 1 according to the present invention is now described.

According to said preferred variant, said device 1 comprises a first selector head 2, provided with a first set of tools 20, and a second selector head 3, provided with a second set of tools 30.

Advantageously, said second selector head 3 is structurally similar to said first selector head 2, and is therefore provided with at least one support arm 31 for said second set of tools 30 and with a corresponding support pin 32.

Said selector heads 2 and 3 can be characterized by respective sets of tools 20 and 30, which can be:

- identical to each other, both being equipped with the same homogeneous and/or heterogeneous set of tools,

- each dedicated to a specific type of tools.

With reference to the attached figures, and without any limiting or restrictive intention, the illustrated device 1 is particularly useful for the automotive sector, for example, for the field of motorcycles.

In fact, the device 1 can incorporate and concentrate the necessary tools to operate in the sector of two-wheeled vehicles (motorbikes, scooters, motocross, "motard" or similar).

For this purpose, the device 1 can therefore be equipped with the tools normally necessary to operate on motorcycles or the like in order to provide the operator with substantially all the tools he needs to deal with and carry out intervention and maintenance tasks, avoiding the hindrance and the carrying a toolbox.

The device 1 can be advantageously equipped with various tools depending on the motorcycle to be maintained or repaired.

According to a possible variant, a first selector head 2 can comprise bushings or socket wrenches of different dimensions adapted to interact with bolts or nuts, while a second selector head 3 can comprise additional bushings or tubes dedicated to bolts or nuts and/or any other tool 301 for, for example, a tool 301 made in the form of a hook, fork, knife, pad gauge or similar tools.

More precisely, the first selector head 2 can substantially comprise the medium-sized bushings useful, among other things, for operating with hub bolt, motor or wheel retaining bolts, while the second selector head 3 can comprise substantially useful tools for interacting with the bodywork or parts thereof, such as saddle, carriers, fenders or the like.

For example, the hook-shaped tool 301 is particularly useful for operating on the exhaust terminals, in particular with the elastic means such as springs or the like, which keep them anchored to the frame.

Screwdrivers, cruciform and slotted tips, allen and torx inserts, or any other insert, useful for bodywork or chassis parts or braking system (brake discs, brake master cylinder, footrests, etc.) can be provided inside the handle 4 .

For example, the size "7", "10" and "13" bushings are essentially used to tighten the spokes of the wheel or to adjust the chain.

The screwdrivers are mainly used to adjust the suspensions or to disassemble or disassemble some parts and if they are of the removable or modular type, the respective handle or part thereof can also be used as a support for the use of one or more of the other inserts. .

As mentioned, among the various tools, including the 240 auxiliaries and/or special ones, the necessary wrench can also be provided to operate the single shock rear suspension adjusting ring nut.

Such functions quickly summarize the main interventions that are normally required of an operator to maintain or restore the functionality of the motorcycle in a short time.

The device 1 thus equipped is extremely practical and is capable of responding to different types of interventions without the need to use toolboxes.

In fact, it is fully equipped, both thanks to the tools of the picking heads 2 and 3 and thanks to the 240 auxiliary and/or special tools, with tools capable of specifically responding to various types of intervention, from the simplest, such as For example, the adjustment of the tensioning of chains, to those of emergency and rapid response.

In addition, the device 1 is practical, pocket-sized, easy to transport and allows first aid interventions and repairs on or off the road, that is, in outdoor environments.

It is clear that various variants of the device 1 described above are possible for the person skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of novelty of the inventive object, as well as it is clear that in the practical implementation of the invention the various equipment described above can be replaced by technically equivalent elements.

For example, according to a possible variant of embodiment not illustrated, the handle 4 can be made by releasably coupling two half-shells, conveniently formed for this purpose, within which the aforementioned auxiliaries 240 and/or special tools are housed.

Once the selector head or heads have been disassembled and removed, said half-shells can be uncoupled or folded, preferably with respect to the support plane of the longitudinal axis of the handle 4, to make said tools accessible.

According to a last possible executive embodiment shown in figure 7, the multi-purpose device 1 of the invention can also be equipped with additional special equipment 6 that is difficult to insert, in the ways described above, inside its gripping means (handle). 4 and/or installable in the set of tools 20, 30 of its selector heads 2, 3.

In this sense, at least one support arm 21, 31 of said one or more selector heads 2, 3 can comprise an appendage 5 suitably molded and/or shaped to include or act as said additional special equipment 6.

More precisely, said appendix 5 substantially constitutes an extension of the support arm 21, 31 and protrudes from the group of tools 20, 30 of the respective selector head 2, 3 to allow its use without any interference and guarantee optimum handling of special equipment 6 that integrates

For example, according to a possible embodiment (not shown), the handle 4 of said multipurpose device 1 can be arranged to externally hold and constrain said additional special equipment, for example, the aforementioned key for mounting/dismounting the spark plug.

In this sense, said key (or any other possible and useful piece of equipment) may be equipped at one of its ends (generally the one opposite the maneuvering head capable of cooperating with the spark plug) with at least one locking ring (or similar means, for example, a C-shaped profile) capable of being inserted around and externally to the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1 and locked in it by interference or interlocking and/or by form coupling with a possible groove of the same handle 4.

By way of example and without limitation, said groove in the handle 4 can, for example, be made or located in or near the area of junction between the same handle 4 and the at least one selector head 2, 3 of the device 1.

When not in use, said special equipment (for example, the spark plug key) "lies" in substantially its entire length along the handle 4 of the multi-purpose device 1 of the invention.

Instead, to be used, said additional special equipment:

- it is first released and/or extracted from the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1, obviously after removing a selector head 2, 3, and then

- it is repositioned, rotated 180° with respect to its non-use position, and locked on the handle 4, by means of the same ring, in such a way that it substantially constitutes an extension thereof.

The new assembly of the previously removed selector head 2, 3 can be provided to improve and strengthen the locking of the special equipment to the handle 4; in such a case, the special equipment must protrude at least partially from the selector head 2, 3 that blocks it to make its use and manipulation possible.

Claims (11)

1. Multipurpose and multifunction device (1) capable of facilitating the assembly and disassembly of different and multiple mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or similar parts of a generic product, comprising at least: a gripping means (4), said gripping means (4) being provided with at least one seat (40; 41) that acts as a housing for at least one auxiliary and/or special tool (240), and a first (2) and a second (3) selector head provided with at least one support arm (21; 31) to which is attached at least one set of tools (20; 30) equipped with a plurality of tools (200; 300; 301) rotatably fixed, said first selector head (2) being provided with a first set of tools (20) and said second selector head (3) is provided with a second set of tools (30), wherein said first ( 20) and second (30) sets of tools are identical to each other, being both equipped with the same set of homogeneous and/or heterogeneous tools, or each one dedicated to a specific type of tools, characterized in that said at least one seat (40; 41) is made inside said gripping means (4) and is reachable and accessible by disassembling and extracting at least one selector head (2; 3).
