Multipurpose and multifunctional device for mounting and dismounting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts
Technical Field
The object of the utility model is a multipurpose and multi-functional device, it can be convenient for install and dismantle a plurality of machinery of difference, hydraulic pressure, electric and similar part of general product.
The present invention therefore falls into any field involving the assembly and disassembly of different components for the manufacture of any complex product.
More in detail, the present invention relates to a multipurpose and multifunctional device provided with a plurality of selectable tools adapted to allow general and/or specific servicing of different vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and/or household appliances and/or the like.
The teachings described herein can therefore be advantageously extended to any technical field involving the assembly of components.
Background
It is known that in an environment intended for maintenance, whether it is a mechanical or electrical or similar component that is not complex, it is particularly convenient to incorporate and, if necessary, provide a device for the removal and/or re-installation of said component and/or parts thereof with a plurality of tools.
Obviously, such an instrument simplifies the operation of the operator by providing, from time to time, the choice of the type of operation to be performed and the possibility of using the most suitable tools.
For example, multi-purpose instruments are known, equipped with a handle and a head provided with a plurality of bushings, each bushing being able to cooperate with a specific screw; in particular, each bushing cooperates with a corresponding screw size. See, for example, document US 1 811 137A.
However, such multi-purpose instruments provide limited tool combinations because the head may incorporate a limited number of bushings; typically, a maximum number of bushings of four is provided.
In view of the wide variety of screws, nuts and bolts available on the market and the range of sizes they cover, it will be appreciated that this tool combination is not sufficient to fully support and simplify the operation of the operator.
This drawback forces the operator to provide a series of instruments able to meet from time to time the different mounting/dismounting requirements required for the type of intervention or for the type of product.
In fact, it should be considered that each brand or manufacturer uses different types or sizes of screws, nuts, bolts, etc., and therefore the same instrument may not be compatible and useful for interventions with different brands of products or with different models of products of the same brand.
Therefore, as expected, the operator must be equipped with various multipurpose instruments in order to be able to confront and resolve the intervention, and if the instruments are insufficient, he/she must carry with him/her the necessary tools, possibly placing them in a suitable toolbox.
Therefore, the operator has to hold the tool box at hand, and is guided to carry it around.
In recent years, the solutions sought tend to reduce the number of tools that the operator must carry with him or her, in order to limit their weight and size.
For example, multi-purpose tools tailored to the technical field of operator intervention are proposed, as described in the prior art documents US 2008/034929 A1 and/or DE 296 05 735 U1 and/or US 8 430 B1 and/or US 9 770 820 B1.
However, even such a solution is not good enough considering the considerable options available in the factory in terms of the type and size of the screws or nuts, which requires the operator to carry with him additional instruments and tools.
This drawback is strongly felt in those fields where the intervention times must be very rapid and precise.
For example, one can think of the field of racing cars, motorcycles or bicycles, whether amateur or professional.
In this case, the intervention time of the operator is crucial for achieving and fulfilling the set target.
Furthermore, it should be considered that it is not always possible to operate in a well-equipped box or garage, and therefore the operator must intervene where the breakdown or malfunction of the vehicle occurs.
In such a case, the operator must carry a large variety of tool boxes in sufficient stock and transport them to the site so that all potentially useful tools are on hand and can successfully intervene.
Thus, in general, the use of a tool kit or a series of multipurpose instruments with a sufficient reserve allows the operator to adequately cope with the intervention, but slows down his operating time due to the greater weight and number of tools he/she has to interact with and seek.
Finding tools can be a cause of delay, particularly if the tools were misplaced during previous interventions.
Moreover, the transport of such an instrument is not always easy and, in the case of external interventions, it is strongly influenced by the roughness and the conditions of the ground.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
It is an object of the present invention to obviate this drawback of the prior art multi-purpose tools by providing a multi-purpose and multi-function device that is capable of providing more tool combinations for the operator.
It is a further object of the invention, at least for one or more execution variants, to provide a multipurpose device provided with a plurality of purpose-built tools for the technical field of skill or for the type of intervention.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a portable and compact multipurpose device that enables interventions in different technical fields, at least for one or more execution variants.
These and other objects that will become apparent hereinafter are achieved by a multi-purpose device.
Other objects may also be achieved by additional features of the multi-purpose device.
In one aspect of the invention, it provides a multipurpose and multifunctional device for mounting and dismounting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts, comprising at least: a gripping device provided with at least one seat serving as a housing for at least one auxiliary and/or special tool; and first and second selector heads provided with at least one support arm to which at least one tool assembly equipped with a plurality of tools is rotatably secured, the first selector head being provided with a first tool assembly and the second selector head being provided with a second tool assembly, the first and second tool assemblies being: identical to each other, all equipped with identical homogeneous tool components and/or heterogeneous tool components; or each dedicated to a certain type of tool, characterized in that said at least one seat is formed within said gripping means and is accessible by disassembling and removing said first selector head and/or said second selector head.
In an embodiment, said at least one seat is obtained and arranged in proximity of an end of said gripping means adapted to cooperate with said first and second selector heads.
In another embodiment, the first and second selector heads are releasably coupled to the gripping device by shape coupling, bayonet coupling, screwing/unscrewing.
In a preferred embodiment, said at least one support arm of said first and second selector heads comprises an appendage, suitably moulded and/or shaped so as to comprise or act as an additional dedicated device, said appendage constituting an extension of said at least one support arm and projecting beyond said tool assembly of one or more selector heads, so as to be able to use it without any interference and to ensure optimal handling of said dedicated device it is integrated with.
In another preferred embodiment, the tools of the first and second selector heads and the at least one auxiliary tool and/or specific tool are of a type compatible with operations in the field of two-wheeled vehicles.

Detailed Description
The features of the invention will now be described using the reference numerals in the figures.
It should also be noted that any dimensional and spatial terms (such as "lower", "upper", "inner", "outer", "front", "rear", vertical, horizontal, etc.) refer to positions according to which the elements are arranged substantially under operating conditions.
The descriptions in the drawings are not necessarily to scale, emphasis instead being placed upon illustrating certain features but not others.
It should be noted that the above-mentioned figures, although schematic, reproduce the elements of the invention according to a ratio between their dimensions and spatial orientation compatible with the possible embodiments.
From here on, the term "tool" should be understood as any instrument or equipment that can be used for mounting and/or dismounting a generic part or parts thereof in a closed environment, such as a workshop, laboratory, craftsman shop, or in an open environment where external interventions are carried out.
Without any limiting intention, in the following discussion reference will be made to multipurpose and multifunctional devices preferably designed and used in the field of motorcycles, in particular in the field of motorcycle racing, it being understood that what is shown here can be extended by suitable means to any technical field, whether amateur, competitive or professional.
From here on, the term "screw" should be understood as any type of temporary locking means, such as a hexagon head screw, socket head screw, quincunx screw, etc., which is mounted/dismounted using a tool.
The reference numeral 1 indicates as a whole a multipurpose and multifunction device according to the invention, hereinafter referred to only as device 1 for the sake of simplicity of description.
In general, the device 1 comprises at least one grip means 4, substantially a handle or grip or the like, and at least one selector head 2 provided with at least one tool assembly 20 equipped with at least one tool 200.
According to a preferred variant, said selector head 2 is provided with at least one support arm 21, preferably at least two support arms 21, said tool assembly 20 being rotatably fixed to said support arm 21 by means of a support pin 22.
The kit 20 may advantageously comprise a plurality of tools 200 suitably arranged with respect to each other.
The support pin 22 can constrain the tool assembly 20 to the support arm 21, thereby allowing rotation and enabling an operator to select a desired tool 200.
According to a possible embodiment variant, in the case where four tools are provided, said tools are arranged "crosswise", or in the case where the number of tools provided is different from four, said tools are arranged "radially", and by rotation of the tool assembly 20, the operator selects from time to time the desired tool 200.
The tool assembly 20 may advantageously be provided with:
homogeneous tools 200, i.e. all tools 200 provided by the tool assembly 20 belong to the same category of tools and differ from each other only in size, e.g. different sized socket wrenches;
heterogeneous tools 200, i.e. tools 200 provided by the tool assembly 20 belong to different tool categories, such as providing an insert or socket wrench, a ring wrench, etc.
According to a possible embodiment variant, said selector head 2 is releasably coupled to said handle 4, in particular said selector head 2 is mountable/dismountable from the same handle 4 by means of, for example, a shape coupling, a bayonet coupling, screwing/unscrewing, etc.
The disassembly of this selector head 2 allows the operator to replace the same head and equip the device 1 with the most suitable tool assembly 200 for the intervention to be performed, or for the field of skill, or in general for the needs or duties of the same operator.
The device 1 according to the invention is characterized in that the handle 4 is provided with at least one seat 40, which seat 40 advantageously serves as a housing for at least one auxiliary tool 240.
According to a preferred embodiment, said handle 4 is provided with a plurality of seats 40, each seat 40 being shaped and dedicated to the housing of a specific auxiliary tool 240.
According to possible embodiments, said one or more auxiliary tools 240 may comprise different types of tools, such as screwdrivers, hook-shaped devices or cotter pins, O-rings, etc., and/or tips, inserts or bushings with shears, crosses, sleeve heads, plum blossom profiles, etc., for extensions of wrenches or similar devices.
Furthermore, said auxiliary tool 240 may be of a type suitable for allowing intervention in the field of model building or the like, for example a microtool and/or a precision tool.
According to a possible embodiment variant, said one or more seats 40 are formed inside said handle 4.
Preferably, said one or more seats 40 are obtained and arranged in proximity of a handle 4, which handle 4 is adapted to cooperate with the selector head 2.
The seat 40 can be reached and accessed by disassembling and removing the selector head 2.
Advantageously, said selector head 2 is provided with a cavity 210 shaped to receive and receive the end of the handle 4 and any auxiliary tool 240 housed therein.
The handle 4 according to the present invention thus provides the possibility of equipping the device 1 with one or more auxiliary tools 240, so as to increase the usefulness of the same device 1 and to provide the operator with additional tools to cope with interventions.
Thus, with the same dimensions, the device according to the invention can be equipped with a greater number of tools, increasing the availability and choice of the same tool to the operator.
Advantageously, said handle 4 can be provided with at least one dedicated seat 41, which dedicated seat 41 is adapted to receive a dedicated tool, such as a wrench for adjusting a ring nut of a suspension, or a cutter or the like.
According to a possible embodiment variant not shown, said handle 4 can also be made of modules couplable to each other, each of said modules being advantageously provided with at least one seat 40 and/or 41 or part thereof.
The coupling of the modules allows to vary the length of the handle 4 and at the same time offers the possibility to further increase the number of auxiliary tools 240 housed within the device 1.
Moreover, according to another variant of the invention (not shown), nothing prevents the handle 4 from being constituted by a hollow tubular element capable of housing therein at least one or more washers (or similar elements) of suitable thickness, each equipped with one or more of the aforesaid seats 40 and/or 41, for supporting the auxiliary element 240 and/or the specific tool.
The washer can be extracted from the handle 4 and further used as an extension or adapter to be mounted on at least one selector head 2 of the multipurpose device 1 of the invention, and on which the auxiliary tool 240 and/or dedicated tool is suitably engaged and coupled for use.
In particular, it has been found to be advantageous to mount said gasket (for example by interlocking and/or shape coupling) on one or more tools 200 of at least one selector head 2 (and/or, as will be seen, on a tool 300 of a second selector head 3) of the multipurpose device 1, to act as an adapter and/or extension of a dedicated insert and/or wrench, for example, known inserts and/or extensions of wrenches suitable for mounting/dismounting spark plugs of 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines in the field of engines.
Having thus far been treated in its smallest and necessary form, a preferred variant of the device 1 will now be described according to the invention.
According to this preferred variant, the device 1 comprises a first selector head 2 provided with a first tool assembly 20, and a second selector head 3 provided with a second tool assembly 30.
Advantageously, the second selector head 3 is similar in structure to the first selector head 2 and is therefore provided with at least one support arm 31 and a corresponding support pin 32 for the second tool assembly 30.
The selector heads 2 and 3 are characterized by respective tool assemblies 20 and 30, which may be:
identical to each other, all equipped with identical homogeneous and/or heterogeneous tool components,
each dedicated to a specific type of tool.
With reference to the figures, and without any intended limitation, the device 1 shown is particularly suitable for use in the automotive field, for example in the field of motorcycles.
In fact, the device 1 can incorporate and concentrate on the tools required for operation in the field of two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles, scooters, dirtbikes, patrol motorcycles, etc.).
For this purpose, the device 1 can therefore be equipped with the tools necessary for operating normally on motorcycles or the like, so as to provide the operator with substantially all the tools necessary for his countermeasures and for carrying out maintenance interventions, avoiding the burden and transport of toolboxes.
The device 1 can advantageously be equipped with various tools, depending on the motorcycle to be maintained or repaired.
According to possible variants, the first selector head 2 may comprise bushings of different sizes suitable for interacting with the screw or nut, while the second selector head 3 may comprise other bushings dedicated to the screw or nut and/or to any other tool 301, for example a tool 301 made in the form of a hook, a fork, a blade, a shim or similar.
More precisely, the first selector head 2 may substantially comprise a medium-sized bushing mainly for operating a hub pin, a motor or a wheel-holding bolt, while the second selector head 3 may substantially comprise means for interacting with the vehicle body or parts thereof, such as a saddle, a conveyor, a mudguard, etc.
For example, the hook tool 301 is particularly suitable for operating on exhaust terminals, in particular by means of elastic means, such as springs, which hold them anchored to the frame.
Inside the handle 4 are a screwdriver, a cross and slotted head, a hexagon and quincunx insert or any other insert for the bodywork or chassis or parts of the braking system (brake disc, brake pump, foot pedal, etc.).
For example, the bushings of "7", "10" and "13" are mainly used for fastening the wheel spokes or for adjusting the chain.
Screwdrivers are mainly used for adjusting the suspension or disassembling certain parts, and if they are detachable or modularly, the corresponding handle or parts thereof can also be used as a support for using one or more other inserts.
As described above, among various tools including the auxiliary tool 240 and/or the special tool, a wrench that needs to be operated together with the ring nut of the adjusted mono cylinder hanger may be further provided.
This function quickly summarizes the major interventions normally required by the operator in order to maintain or restore the functionality of the motorcycle in a short time.
The device 1 thus equipped is very practical and can respond to different types of interventions without the use of a toolbox.
In fact, thanks to the tools of the selector heads 2 and 3 and to the auxiliary tool 240 and/or to the dedicated tool, it is generally equipped with tools capable of responding specifically to various types of interventions, from the simplest interventions, such as chain tensioning adjustment, to urgent and quick-response interventions.
Furthermore, the device 1 is easy to use, pocket-sized, easy to transport and allows a first auxiliary intervention and repair on or off road, i.e. in an outdoor environment.
Obviously, several variants of the device 1 described above are possible for the person skilled in the art without departing from the scope of novelty of the inventive concept, and it is also clear that in the practical embodiment of the invention, the various devices described previously can be replaced by technically equivalent elements.
For example, according to a possible embodiment variant not shown, the handle 4 can be made by a releasable coupling of two half-shells, the shape of which is adapted to the purpose, inside which the above-mentioned auxiliary tool 240 and/or special tools are housed.
Once one or more selector heads have been disassembled and removed, the half-shells can be detached or folded open, preferably with respect to the lying plane of the longitudinal axis of the handle 4, so as to make the tool accessible.
According to the last possible implementation shown in fig. 7, the multipurpose device 1 of the invention can also be equipped with an additional dedicated device 6, which is difficult to insert in its gripping means (handle) 4 and/or to install in the tool assembly 20, 30 of its selector head 2, 3 in the manner described above.
In this respect, at least one supporting arm 21, 31 of said one or more selector heads 2, 3 may comprise an accessory 5, suitably moulded and/or shaped to comprise or act as said additional dedicated device 6.
More precisely, said appendix 5 substantially constitutes an extension of the supporting arm 21, 31 and projects beyond the tool group 20, 30 of the relative selector head 2, 3, so as to be able to use it without any intervention and to ensure an optimal handling of the specific equipment 6 integrated therewith.
For example, without any limiting intention, the accessory 5 may comprise a wrench 6 for mounting/dismounting a spark plug of a 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine, as shown in fig. 7.
Finally, there is nothing to prevent the additional dedicated device 6 from being provided in the multipurpose apparatus 1 of the present invention in a different arrangement instead of the one described above.
For example, according to a possible execution embodiment (not shown), the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1 can be arranged to hold and externally constrain the additional dedicated equipment, for example the aforementioned wrench for mounting/dismounting the spark plug.
In this respect, such a wrench (or any other possible and useful device) may be equipped, at one of its ends (generally the end opposite the manoeuvring head able to cooperate with the spark plug), with at least one locking ring (or similar means, for example a C-shaped profile) able to be inserted externally around the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1 and locked thereon by interference or interlocking and/or shape coupling with a possible recess of the same handle 4.
As an example, and without any limiting intention, said recess of the handle 4 may be made or located, for example, at or near the junction zone between the same handle 4 and at least one selector head 2, 3 of the device 1.
When not in use, the dedicated device (e.g. a spark plug wrench) is "placed" along the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1 of the present invention substantially along its entire length.
Instead, to use, the additional dedicated device:
first released and/or pulled from the handle 4 of the multipurpose device 1, obviously after removal of the selector heads 2, 3; then the
