Abstract

The invention relates to a device for installing on a fishing rod, comprising a processing unit (1), and a laser light emitter (3) for emitting a light pattern when activated by the processing unit (1). The device also includes a wire (4) that propagates the light from the laser light emitter (1), and an accelerometer (2). According to the acceleration value detected by the accelerometer (2), the laser light emitter (3) is activated by the processing unit (1) and modifies the emitted light pattern so as to indicate that a fish may be biting. The invention also relates to a rod comprising said device.

DESCRIPTION

Technical Field of the Invention

The invention belongs in general to the fishing field and relates in particular to a lighting device for night fishing or in low light conditions.

Background of the invention or State of the Art

Existing articles for fishing practice are known during low light hours, which although they help the fisherman's work, fail to solve all the problems of night fishing.

To help minimize these inconveniences, a new device that includes an illuminated line is proposed.

Brief Description of the Invention

This proposal refers to a fishing device that solves or at least improves the problems encountered in the state of the art. This device comprises a process unit, a laser light emitter for emitting a light pattern when activated by the process unit, a wire that propagates the light of the laser light emitter and an accelerometer. The laser light emitter is activated by the process unit depending on whether the acceleration value detected by the accelerometer is greater than a threshold.

Optionally, the threshold is configurable.

Optionally, it also includes a battery.

Optionally, it also includes a dynamo coupled to the battery.

Optionally, the laser light emitter emits a pulse lighting pattern if activated. This pattern may be modifiable in some embodiments.

Optionally, the thread is glow type.

The object of the present invention is also a fishing rod comprising the previous device.

Optionally, the rod comprises a reel coupled with the dynamo to produce electrical energy with the rotation of the reel and store it in the battery.

Optionally, the accelerometer is arranged at the upper end of the rod to detect more accurately when a sting occurs.

Detailed description of the invention

With reference to Figures 1 and 2 an embodiment of the invention is described.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, a laser emitter 3 is coupled with a special glow wire 4 to pass a beam of light through it. This thread 4 is lined with nylon, which gives it greater resistance to the tensile stresses that the seals must withstand in each bite.

For the laser power supply we will use a battery 6 that is preferably rechargeable.

Advantageously, a dynamo 5 can be attached to the reel 10 of the rod. In this way, each time the rod is thrown or picked up, the reel 10 rotates and the battery 6 is recharged thanks to the rotation energy being transformed into electrical energy by dynamo 5 that is stored by the battery 6. This gives the invention autonomy and avoids the uncomfortable need to have to change the batteries or the battery once it is depleted.

For the control of the instrument a process unit 1 has been used, programmed for example with Arduino. It is in particular an electronic board with a microcontroller and input and output ports. To the electronic board has been connected

a relay that is activated to cause the flashing light of the laser emitter 3 and to warn the fisherman.

There is also an accelerometer 2 located at the tip of the rod that will be activated when a fish bites the hook and pulls the line. This accelerometer is adjustable so that on higher wind days it has less sensitivity and we do not have a false positive.

The operation is as follows:

When you connect the device for the first time, it performs a startup test that verifies that it works correctly. Then the laser emitter 3 is activated and lights the line 4.

When a bite occurs, the accelerometer 2 located at the tip of the rod detects the movement when it exceeds a configurable value and sends a signal to the process unit 1 that activates the laser emitter 3 and causes a blinking indicative of a possible capture.

After a few seconds in the absence of movement or with movement less than the one set, the flashing of the laser emitter 2 is deactivated and returns to the idle state with the line 4 illuminated without flickering.

It is to be understood that this mode of illumination with sequences of flickers associated with the possible capture and with continuous illumination in its absence can be modified. For example, it can be indicated that there are no fish biting, instead of continuous lighting, with a sequence of light pulses spaced a longer time interval than for the case in which they are detected.
