1. Cartón biodegradable, caracterizado porque comprende: un cartón y una capa biodegradable que se reviste sobre el cartón mediante una máquina de revestimiento por extrusión.

Description

Cartón biodegradable.
Campo de la invención
La presente invención se refiere a un cartón biodegradable que presenta un revestimiento cuyo material es ácido poliláctico (PLA), tereftalato de polietileno (PET) o almidón de maíz y el alimento se almacena en una caja de cartón biodegradable y en contacto con el revestimiento.
Antecedentes de la invención
Una caja de alimentos convencional realizada con material de papel suele comprender un cartón y una capa que está encolada a la parte exterior de la caja de alimentos. Dicha capa comprende motivos impresos y no entra en contacto con el alimento. La capa se prepara a partir de polietileno (PE), polipropileno (PP), cloruro de polivinilo (PVC) o almidón de maíz. Solamente el almidón de maíz es biodegradable. La capa debe realizarse de modo que presente un determinado espesor y los motivos se imprimen sobre la capa antes de que sea encolada a la caja de alimentos. Un adhesivo está situado entre la parte exterior de la caja de cartón y la capa. Además, la capa no está directamente unida a la caja de alimentos, por lo que dicha capa podría desprenderse si el adhesivo no se aplica con uniformidad sobre la superficie de la caja de alimentos de cartón. Además, la capa debe obtenerse de tal modo que presente un determinado espesor, lo cual representa un coste de fabricación más alto. Lo más importante es que no se pueden biodegradar los materiales de PE, PP y PVC.
El objetivo de la presente invención es proporcionar un cartón biodegradable que se pueda utilizar en cajas de alimentos y presente una capa de PET o de PLA, que sea revestida sobre el cartón directamente mediante una máquina de revestimiento por extrusión.
Sumario de la invención
La presente invención se refiere a un cartón biodegradable que comprende un cartón y una capa biodegradable que se reviste sobre el cartón mediante una máquina de revestimiento por extrusión. La capa biodegradable puede ser una capa de ácido poliláctico (PLA), tereftalato de polietileno (PET) o almidón de maíz. El cartón con la capa biodegradable puede utilizarse para la producción de contenedores de alimentos y la capa biodegradable puede ponerse directamente contacto con el alimento.

Con referencia a las Figuras 1 y 2, el cartón 10 de la presente invención presenta la forma de una bobina de papel y una capa biodegradable 20 se reviste sobre el cartón 10 mediante una máquina de revestimiento por extrusión La capa biodegradable 20 es una capa de ácido poliláctico (PLA), tereftalato de polietileno (PET) o almidón de maíz.
La capa biodegradable 20 puede obtenerse a partir de PET, tal como Biomax PET fabricado por Dupond, partículas de PET biodegradables fabricadas por Far-Eastern Textile Ltd (Taiwán), partículas de ácido poliláctico (PLA) fabricadas por Nature Works L.L.C. o almidón de maíz. El material se calienta para pasar al estado líquido y se extruye mediante una máquina extrusora mientras que el líquido se extruye mediante una matriz en T para obtener una capa del tipo de espuma 20. El cartón 10 se presenta en forma de bobina de papel que es precalentada y a continuación se somete a un tratamiento coronal.
La capa de tipo espuma 20 se aplica sobre el cartón 10 y ambos elementos se alimentan entre rodillos de silicio y rodillos enfriadores para presionar uniformemente la capa 20 sobre el cartón 10. El material de la capa 20 se combina con fibras del cartón 10. El cartón prensado 10 y la capa 20 se someten a continuación a otro tratamiento corona) para abrir los orificios del cartón 10. 1. Cartón biodegradable, caracterizado porque comprende:
un cartón y una capa biodegradable que se reviste sobre el cartón mediante una máquina de revestimiento por extrusión.
2. Cartón biodegradable según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la capa biodegradable es una capa de ácido poliláctico (PLA).
3. Cartón biodegradable según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la capa biodegradable es una capa de PET.
4. Cartón biodegradable según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la capa biodegradable es una capa de almidón de maíz.
