The invention concerns a beaker (1), made of paper or cardboard, for metering washing powder. From the "open" (use) configuration, the side panels of the beaker (1) can be folded flat and re-opened. The beaker (1) is made from a single-piece blank (2) which includes the developed surfaces of the beaker (1) and has an oblong shape. The blank (2) is divided by score lines into six panels (A, B, C, D, E, F), the four inner panels each having a floor flap (B', C', D', E').
