Abstract
La présente divulgation concerne des méthodes et des compositions pour prédire un risque élevé et faible pour un carcinome hépatocellulaire chez des patients atteints d'une stéatose hépatique non alcoolique (NAFLD). L'invention concerne des méthodes d'identification du NAFLD en tant que NAFLD indolent, progressif ou avancé. Sur la base des résultats obtenus à partir des méthodes et des compositions présentement divulguées, des patients atteints de stéatose hépatique non alcoolique peuvent être classés en un groupe de risque pronostique, ce qui permet un diagnostic précoce et une prévention d'un carcinome hépatocellulaire et d'autres complications mortelles. Les méthodes et les compositions présentement divulguées améliorent sensiblement le mauvais pronostic de sujets présentant ou risquant un carcinome hépatocellulaire.
