Abstract
Symmetrically in relation to the vertical axis of the axle box, two symmetrical stops in the form of horizontally positioned angle brackets are attached to the fork guides at the same height, adjusted to the diameter of the wagon wheel, so that the vertical arms of the angle brackets adhere with their entire outer surface to the front surface of the fork guide.
The set of stops in the running system of two-axle wagons consists of two symmetrical stops (1), each of which is in the form of a horizontally positioned angle, the vertical arm of which (7), in the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with longer sides directed inwards, is equipped with two mounting holes (9, 10) located next to each other.

Description
- The subject of the invention is a method of securing fork guides of wheel set bearing housings in the running system of two-axle wagons and a set of stops in the running system of two-axle wagons.
- Standard suspension solutions for two-axle wagons use a linkage connecting both fork guides. Its purpose is to increase the strength and rigidity of the fork guides, as well as to prevent the axleboxes, or wheel bearing housings, from slipping out of the fork guides while the wagons are moving and being lifted.
- This solution is commonly used with wheels with a diameter of 920 mm. Currently, it is necessary to lower the wagon floor, for example, in two-axle wagons transporting cars on two levels. For this purpose, wheelsets with a reduced diameter of 760 mm are used. With such wheels, the problem of collision between the axle box and the lower rail gauge, which is a limited space in which wagon components cannot be located, arises. The axle box is the lowest element of the running gear, therefore the minimum distance from the running gear to the lower rail gauge is measured from it. These limitations mean that the axle box yokes known in the art cannot be used with smaller diameter wheels. For larger diameter wheels, the required distances are maintained.
- During wagon operation, the wheel tread wears, reducing the wheel diameter and, consequently, the clearance between the yoke and the gauge. To avoid collisions with the gauge, the clearance between the yoke and the gauge must be checked frequently. When this dimension becomes critical, the wheelsets are replaced with new ones, even though they have not yet reached the minimum permissible diameter. This increases the operating costs of the wagons .
- An example of the use of an axle box arm is the popular 1XTa bogie equipped with leaf springs.
- The essence of the solution according to the first invention consists in that, symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the axle box, two symmetrical stops in the form of horizontally arranged angle bars are attached to the fork guides at the same height, adapted to the diameter of the wagon wheel, each of which is equipped with two mounting holes, so that the vertical arms of the angle bars adhere with their entire outer surface to the front plane of the fork guide, in such a way that the free ends of the locating pins protruding from the centrifugal holes are placed in the holes of the fork guide, and then in the threaded, through holes in the fork guide plate, screws are placed from the rear surface, which are then screwed into the threaded, through central mounting holes in the vertical arms of the angle bars, after which the screws are fixed with nuts above the horizontal arms of the angle bars.
- Preferably, the vertical arm of the angle bracket has the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with the longer sides directed inwards.
- Preferably, the locating pins are permanently connected to the stops.
- The essence of the solution according to the second invention is that the set consists of two symmetrical stops, each of which is in the form of a horizontally positioned angle, the vertical arm of which, in the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with the longer sides directed inwards, is equipped with two mounting holes located next to each other.
- Preferably, the vertical arms are significantly shorter than the horizontal arms.
- Preferably, the central mounting holes are equipped with mounting screws and nuts.
- Preferably, the centrifugal mounting holes are provided with locating pins permanently connected to the stops, with a length greater than the thickness of the vertical arms of the stops.
- Preferably, the stops are set at the same height on the fork guides symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the axle box, in such a way that the vertical arms of the stops adhere with their entire outer surface to the front surfaces of the fork guides.
- Because the inventive solution locks the sliding of the wheel bearing housings (i.e., axle boxes) on the guide ribs, rather than on the cylindrical section as in standard railcar running gears, it is possible to reduce the vertical dimension of the stops, thereby increasing the vertical distance of the stop from the gauge. The solution guarantees the same sliding range of the wheel bearing housings (i.e., axle boxes) in the fork guides. Therefore, the key advantages of the utility model solution include:
- eliminating the need frequent checking of the distance of the yoke from the gauge, as the minimum distance of the limiters to the railway gauge is guaranteed within the entire permissible range of wheel diameters,
- reducing the frequency of wheel set replacements as the entire permissible usable range of wheel diameter is used,
- the same method of fastening the limiters to the fork guides is used, i.e. using a pin and a screw with a nut - as the fastening of the armature, which facilitates renovation work.
- The solution according to the invention is illustrated in the drawing, where
Fig. 1 - view of the wheel with a set of limiters,Fig. 2 - view of the limiter mounted on the fork guide,Fig. 3 - axonometric view of the limiter. - The set according to the invention consists of two symmetrical stops 1, each of which is in the form of a horizontally positioned angle bracket, the vertical arm 7 of which has the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with the longer side directed inwards and two through mounting holes located next to each other, wherein the vertical arm 7 is clearly shorter than the horizontal arm 8. In the central mounting holes 9 there are screws 5 with nuts 6, fastening the stops to the fork guides 3, wherein the stops are fixed on the fork guides 3 at the same height depending on the size of the wheel diameter symmetrically in relation to the vertical axis of the axle box 2 in such a way that the vertical arm 7 of the angle bracket adheres with its entire outer surface to the front plane of the fork guide 3. Additionally, in the centrifugal holes 10 there are locating pins 4, permanently connected to the stop, with a length greater than the thickness of the vertical arm 7 of the stop 1.
- Symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the axle box 2, two symmetrical stops 1 in the form of horizontally arranged angle bars are attached to the fork guides at the same height, adjusted to the diameter of the wagon wheel, each of which is equipped with two mounting holes, so that the vertical arms 7 of the angle bars adhere with their entire outer surface to the front surface of the fork guide 3. The free ends of the locating pins 4 protruding from the centrifugal holes 10 are placed in the holes of the fork guide 3, and then in the threaded, through holes in the fork guide plate 3, screws 5 are placed from the rear surface, which are then screwed into the threaded through central mounting holes 9 in the vertical arms of the angle bars, after which the screws are fixed with nuts 6 above the horizontal arms 8 of the angle bars.
Claims (8)
- A method of securing fork guides of wheel set bearing housings in the running gear of two-axle wagons, characterized in that two symmetrical stops in the form of horizontally arranged angle bars are attached to the fork guides symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the axle box, at the same height, adapted to the wagon wheel diameter, each of which is equipped with two mounting holes, so that the vertical arms of the angle bars adhere with their entire outer surface to the front surface of the fork guide, in such a way that the free ends of the locating pins protruding from the centrifugal holes are placed in the fork guide holes, and then in the threaded, through holes in the fork guide plate, screws are placed from the rear surface, which are then screwed into the threaded, through central mounting holes in the vertical arms of the angle bars, after which the screws are fixed with nuts above the horizontal arms of the angle bars.
- The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the vertical arm of the angle bar has the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with the longer sides directed inwards.
- The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the locating pins are permanently connected to the stops.
- Set stops in the running system of two-axle wagons, characterized in that it consists of two symmetrical stops (1), each of which is in the form of a horizontally situated angle, the vertical arm (7) of which has the shape of a rectangular trapezoid with longer sides directed inwards, is equipped with two mounting holes (9, 10) located next to each other.
- A set according to claim 4, characterized in that the vertical arms (7) are significantly shorter than the horizontal arms (8).
- A set according to claim 4, characterized in that the central mounting holes (9) contain mounting screws (5) equipped with nuts (6).
- A set according to claim 4, characterized in that the centrifugal mounting holes (10) contain locating pins (4), permanently connected to the limiters (1), with a length greater than the thickness of the vertical arms (7) of the limiters (1).
- A set according to claim 4, characterized in that the stops (1) are set at the same height on the fork guides (3) symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the axle box (2), in such a way that the vertical arms (7) of the stops (1) adhere with their entire outer surfaces to the front surfaces of the fork guides (3).
