FIG. 1 is a front view showing a container according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a state in which an outer container and an inner container of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention are separated from each other.
-
As shown in FIGs. 1 and 2, a container 1000 according to an embodiment of the present invention largely includes an inner container 100, an outer container 200, and a top cap 300.
-
The outer container 200 has an accommodation space at the inside thereof in such a way as to receive the inner container 100 therein. In detail, the outer container 200 is open on the bottom thereof and thus has the accommodation space around the inner peripheral surface thereof. The top cap 300 is coupled to top of the outer container 200 to seal the outer container 200.
-
The inner container 100 stores a given content and is inserted into and separated from the outer container 200 through the open bottom of the outer container 200. In detail, the inner container 100 is separably coupled to the outer container 200. The inner container 100 is inserted through the open bottom of the outer container 200 and thus received in the accommodation space of the outer container 200, and after the content has been used up, the inner container 100 is separated from the outer container 200 through the open bottom of the outer container 200 and thus replaced with a new inner container 100.
-
To do this, the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 have fastening structures on one side thereof so that they are coupled to each other. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 are coupled to each other by means of screw coupling. For example, the inner container 100 has a screw thread on the outer peripheral surface of top end thereof, and the outer container 200 has a structure corresponding to the screw thread on the inner peripheral surface thereof, so that the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 rotate relative to each other and are thus fastened to each other. As the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 rotate relative to each other by a user, they are easily fastened to and separated from each other.
-
The content stored in the inner container 100 is a liquid or gel cosmetic. Without being limited thereto, however, the inner container 100 may have a variety of contents such as a cream, a lotion, a sunscreen, an essence, a BB cream, a make-up base, a foundation, a CC cream, a skin cleaner, a shampoo, a conditioner, and a hair dye.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the outer container 200, the inner container 100, and the top cap 300 have the same material as one another. For example, they are made of polypropylene (PP) resin. Without being limited thereto, however, they may be made of various materials.
-
Therefore, the outer container 200, the inner container 100, and the top cap 300 are thrown away together, without any separation from one another, and even in a state where at least one or more parts of them are coupled to each other, they can be thrown away and thus recycled, thereby achieving easiness in recycling them.
-
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view showing the outer container of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view showing the inner container of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing the container according to the embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, an explanation of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention will be given with reference to FIGs. 3 to 5.
-
Referring to FIG. 3, the outer container 200 consists of an outer container body 210, a housing 220, a pump assembly 230, and a button 240.
-
The outer container body 210 has the shape of a cylinder open on top and bottom thereof, while having the accommodation space S at the inside thereof in such a way as to receive the inner container 100. The outer container body 210 may be freely configured in shape, without being limited thereto.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, at least a portion of Outer container body 210 is made of a transparent or semi-transparent material. As a result, the outer peripheral surface of the inner container 100 that is received in the outer container 200 is seen on the outside. If a color or pattern is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the inner container 100, the outer peripheral surface of the inner container 100 can be checked on the outside to enable a product to be visually recognized.
-
The housing 220 serves to supportingly receive the pump assembly 230 therein and is coupled to a top end periphery of the outer container body 210. The housing 220 is coupled to the outer container body 210 in such a way as to surround the top end periphery of the outer container body 210 and further coupled to the pump assembly 230 at the inside thereof.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the housing 220 has a hollow portion 224 at the central portion thereof in such a way as to receive at least a portion of the pump assembly 230 therein.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the housing 220 has at least one or more side walls 221 and 222, an outer wall 223, and a connector for connecting the side walls to the outer wall, around the hollow portion 224. The side walls 221 and 222 and the outer wall 223 are spaced apart from one another in an outward direction from the hollow portion 224.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the housing 220 includes the at least one or more side walls 221 and 222 spaced apart from each other in the outward direction from the hollow portion 224, and at least a portion of the inner container 100 is inserted into a space between the at least one or more side walls (e.g., a first side wall 221 and a second side wall 222). The coupling structure to the inner container 100 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the at least one side wall of the housing 220 so that the housing 220 is detachably coupled to the inner housing 100. The coupling structure is the screw coupling, but it may not be limited thereto. As a result, the inner housing 100 is coupled to and separated from the side wall of the housing 220.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, at least a portion of the outer container body 210 is inserted into the space between the side wall 222 and the outer wall 223 of the housing 220. A coupling structure to the outer container body 210 is provided on at least a portion of the side wall 222 or the outer wall 223 of the housing 220 so that the housing 220 is coupled to the outer container body 210. The coupling structure includes coupling structures such as protrusions and grooves, undercut structures, and the like, which are well known in the art.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the outer wall 223 of the housing 220 is coupled to the top cap 300. A coupling structure to the top cap 300 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the outer wall 223 of the housing 220 so that the housing 220 is coupled to and separated from the top cap 300.
-
The pump assembly 230 receives an external force from the user and thus causes the internal pressure thereof to be varied so that it serves to suck and discharge the content, while being supportedly coupled to the housing 220. The pump assembly 230 of the present invention is desirably an airless pump. The pump assembly 230 consists of a cylinder, a seal cap, a piston rod, a stem, and an elastic member, which are well known in the art.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the elastic member 231 is a bellows. In the embodiment of the present invention, at least a portion of the elastic member 231 is made of a soft plastic material. For example, the soft plastic material may include polyether ether ketone (PEEK), polycarbonate (PC), polyoxymethylene (POM), polyketone (POK), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyoxypropylene (POP), elastomer, polyolefin elastomer (POE), copolymer, ethylene octene/butene copolymer, etc. However, it may not be limited thereto. As the elastic member 231 is made of the soft plastic material, it is easily manufactured and has a production cost lower than a conventional spring made of a metal. Further, there is no need to separate the elastic member 231 from other components of the pump assembly 230 when the container is thrown away, thereby providing an ecofriendly advantage. In the embodiment of the present invention, the elastic member is made by means of injection molding. As a result, it has better performance than the spring made by means of blow molding. However, the shape and structure of the elastic member 231 are just exemplary, and therefore, they may be freely changed according to embodiments of the present invention.
-
Other components constituting the pump assembly 230 are the same as in the well known pump, and therefore, explanations of them will be avoided.
-
The button 240 is pressed to discharge the content to the outside and constitutes top of the outer container 200. The button 240 is located on top of the pump assembly 230 and applies an external force to the pump assembly 230, when pressed, so that the content is discharged. The button 240 has an opening 241 for discharging the content. The opening 241 of the button 240 communicates with a flow path along which the content moves to allow the content stored in the inner container 100 to be discharged to the outside therethrough. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a nozzle 242 is coupled to the opening 241 to adjust an amount of content discharged.
-
As shown in FIG. 4, the inner container 100 consists of an inner container body 102 and a piston 120 for pushing up the content stored therein.
-
The inner container body 102 serves to store the content and has a fastening structure 101a on a top end periphery 101 thereof in such a way as to be coupled to the outer container 200. For example, the fastening structure 101a is a screw thread. In this case, the inner container body 102 is fastened to the outer container 200 by means of screw coupling so that the inner container 100 rotates simply and is thus separated from and fastened to the outer container 200.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the inner container body 102 has at least one or more stopper protrusions 103a on the top end periphery 101 thereof. The outer container 200 (in detail, the housing 220) has stopper grooves 220a on one side thereof in such a way as to correspond to the stopper protrusions 103a so that if the inner container 100 is fastened to the outer container 200, the stopper protrusions 103a are fitted to the stopper grooves 220a to cause click sounds or to transfer fastening sensitivity to the user. As a result, the fastened state between the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 is recognized intuitively by the user.
-
The stopper grooves and protrusions are not limited in position only if they are formed on portions where the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 come into contact with each other.
-
The piston 120 moves upward by means of changes in the internal pressure of the inner container body 102 and raises the content upward. The piston 120 moves, while beings brought into close contact with the inner peripheral wall of the inner container body 102.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a second diameter d2 of the top end periphery 101 of the inner container body 102 is smaller than a first diameter d1 of the inner container body 102. As the diameter of the top end periphery 101 decreases, the inner container body 102 is bent and stepped. As a result, the top end periphery 101 is connected to the inner container body 102 by means of a bent portion 103.
-
A conventional replaceable container is configured to have the inner container body with no change in diameter. In this case, if the content stored in the inner container body 102 is used up, the piston 120 moves up to the top end periphery of the inner container body 102 and thus comes into close contact with the pump assembly 230, and so as to allow the inner container 100 to be replaced with new one, in this case, if the inner container 100 is separated from the outer container 200, the piston 120 is attached to the pump assembly 230 of the outer container 200 so that it is detached from the inner container 100. In the case of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention, however, the diameter of the top end periphery 101 of the inner container body 102 is smaller than the diameter of the inner container body 102 to form the bent portion 103 between the top end periphery 101 and the inner container body 102, so that if the inner container 100 is separated from the outer container 200, the piston 120 and the inner container body 102 are stably separated together from the outer container 200, without being brought into close contact with the outer container 200 and thus attached thereto.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the piston 120 gradually moves upward from the lower portion of the inner container body 102 by means of the changes in the pressure that are caused by the discharge of the content in a state of being brought into close contact with the inner peripheral wall of the inner container body 102. If the piston 120 moves upward up to the uppermost position of the inner container body 102 due to the consumption of the content, the upward movement of the piston 120 is stopped by means of the bent portion 103.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, at least a region of top of the piston 120 has the shape corresponding to at least a region of underside of the pump assembly 230 and/or the housing 220, so that if the piston 120 moves upward up to the uppermost end of the inner container body 102, top of the piston 120 is fitted to at least one surface of the pump assembly 230 and/or the housing 220. As a result, the content is completely used up, without any leftovers.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the inner container 100 has a bottom cap 110 coupled to the lower end periphery thereof. In detail, the bottom cap 110 is coupled to the inner container body 102. For example, the inner container body 102 has coupling protrusions 102a on the lower end periphery thereof and the bottom cap 110 has coupling grooves 110a on the positions corresponding to the coupling protrusions 102a in such a way as to insert the coupling protrusions 102 thereinto. If the inner container body 102 is open on top and bottom thereof, the underside of the inner container body 102 is sealed by means of the bottom cap 110. It is also possible that the bottom cap 110 is doubly coupled to the underside of the inner container body 102.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the bottom cap 110 has a diameter greater than the inner container body 102 so that it protrudes more outwardly than the outer peripheral surface of the inner container body 102. The bottom cap 110 is a region that is grasped when the inner container 100 rotates. If the bottom cap 110 protrudes more outwardly than the outer peripheral surface of the inner container body 102, therefore, it is easy to be grasped by the user. While the protruding bottom cap 110 is being held by the user, the inner container 100 rotates easily.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the bottom cap 110 has the diameter equal to or similar with the outer container body 210. While the bottom cap 110 protrudes more outwardly than the outer peripheral surface of the inner container body 102, the bottom cap 110 has the same surface as the outer container body 210 if the inner container 100 is inserted into the outer container 200, thereby forming the outer shape of the container.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the bottom cap 110 is made of the same material as the inner container body 102, for example, polypropylene (PP) resin. However, the bottom cap 110 may not be limited thereto. For example, the bottom cap 110 is coupled integrally with the inner container body 102, and otherwise, the inner container body 102 and the bottom cap 110 are made integrally with each other by means of injection molding.
-
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the inner container 100 has a replacement cap 130 coupled to top thereof. The replacement cap 130 serves to seal the inner container 100 and is removed when the inner container 100 is coupled to the outer container 200. The replacement cap 130 is made of the same material as the inner container body 102, for example, polypropylene (PP) resin. However, the replacement cap 130 may not be limited thereto. In conventional practices, the inner container is closed with a seal so that the content may leak, and further, the inner container is not seen as a single finished product, thereby providing a bad outer appearance. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the replacement cap 130 is coupled to top of the inner container 100, thereby providing a good outer appearance of the inner container 100 and more perfectly sealing the content of the inner container 100.
-
FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing a state in which the inner container is coupled to the outer container according to the embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a sectional view showing operations of the container according to the embodiment of the present invention and a state in which the inner container is separated from the outer container after the content is used up. FIG. 7a shows a state in which the inner container and the outer container are coupled to each other, FIG. 7b shows a state in which the button of the outer container is pressed to discharge the content, and FIG. 7c shows a state in which the inner container is separated from the outer container to allow the inner container to be replaced with new one.
-
As shown in FIGs. 6 and 7, the inner container 100 is inserted into the outer container 200 through the open bottom of the outer container 200. In this case, the replacement cap 130 of the inner container 100 has been already removed. The inner container 100 is received in the accommodation space S of the outer container 200, and as the lower end periphery (the bottom cap 110) of the inner container 100 rotates relative to the outer container body 210, the inner container 100 is coupled to the outer container 200. In this case, the stopper protrusions 103a of the inner container 100 are fastened to the stopper grooves 220a of the housing 220 to transfer the click sounds or fastening sensitivity to the user, so that the fastened state between the inner container 100 and the outer container 200 is recognized intuitively by the user.
-
In the state where the outer container 200 and the inner container 100 are coupled to each other, the button 240 of the outer container 200 is pressed to discharge the content. If the button 240 is pressed, the pump assembly 230 operates to discharge the content, and after that, the piston 120 moves upward according to the changes in the internal pressure of the inner container 100. If the piston 120 moves up to the uppermost end of the inner container body 102, top of the piston 120 is brought into close contact with the underside of the pump assembly 230 and the underside of the housing 220. As a result, the content is completely used up, without any leftovers, and the piston 120 does not move upward anymore by means of the bent portion 103.
-
If the content of the inner container 100 is completely used up, the bottom cap 110 of the inner container 100 rotates relative to the outer container 200 by the user to allow the inner container 100 to be separated from the outer container 200. If the inner container 100 is separated from the outer container 200 so as to be replaced with new one, only the inner container 100 and the piston 120 are separated, while the pump assembly 230 is being received in the outer container 200. As a result, the pump assembly 230 is not exposed to the outside, upon the replacement of the inner container 100, thereby minimizing the contamination thereof, and further, the remaining content in the inner container 100 can be checked by the user.
-
As the second diameter d2 of the open top end periphery 101 of the inner container body 102 is smaller than the first diameter d1 of the inner container body 102, the piston 120 is brought into close contact with the pump assembly 230 upon the replacement of the inner container 100, thereby being prevented from being separated from the inner container 100. As the bent portion 103 is formed on the inner container body 102, in detail, the inner container 100 is stably replaced with new one, without any separation of the piston 120 therefrom.
-
If it is checked that the content is used up by the user, the inner container 100 is separated from the outer container 200, and next, the replacement cap 130 is removed from a new inner container 100 so that the new inner container 100 is fastened to the outer container 200.
-
As mentioned above, the preferred embodiment of the present invention has been disclosed in the specification and drawings. Therefore, persons skilled in the relevant art can appreciate that many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teachings. It is therefore intended that the scope of the invention be limited not by this detailed description, but rather by the claims appended hereto.
