  • According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first light source 101 and the second light source 201 are respectively used to generate a first light beam and a second light beam. The provision of the third light source 203 will not affect the functions implemented by the first light source 101 and the second light source 201.
  • In one example, the first light source 101 is configured to implement a low-beam function, and the second light source 201 is configured to implement a high-beam function.
  • In one example, the light-emitting device 10 further comprises a controller, and the controller is configured to control the third light source 203 to be turned on when the first light source 101 is turned on, to illuminate the lens 205 of the second light-emitting module 200 during the low-beam function. In other words, the third light source 203 is configured to be turned on simultaneously with the first light source 101 in the first light-emitting module 100 to illuminate the projection lens 205 corresponding to the second light-emitting module 200, i.e., the high-beam function, in the low-beam mode.
  • In one example, the second reflector 201 comprises a first reflective surface that collects and reflects the light emitted by the second light source 201 and a second reflective surface that collects and reflects the light emitted by the third light source 203, and the lens 205 is configured to project light reflected by the reflector 202, to form the second beam and the third beam, respectively.
  • Specifically, the second light source 201 is arranged at the focus of the reflective surface of the second reflector 202 of the second light-emitting module 200 so that the second light beam has the maximum intensity.
  • In one example, to ensure that the third light source 203 can illuminate the lens 205 of the second light-emitting module 200 when the first light source 101 is in the working mode, the third light source 203 is arranged near the second light source 201.
  • Preferably, the third light source 203 should avoid the focus of the second reflector 202 of the second light-emitting module 200 to prevent dazzling oncoming traffic due to the third light beam generated by the third light source 203 in the low-beam mode. In one example, the distance between the third light source 203 and the second light source 201 is greater than 1 mm. Of course, the distance between the third light source 203 and the second light source 201 may be selected and adjusted according to actual needs, and is not specifically limited in the present invention.
  • In one example, the second reflector 202 comprises a second reflective surface that collects and reflects light emitted by the third light source 203, and the lens 205 is configured to project the light from the third light source 203 reflected by the second reflector 202 and form the third light beam. The lens 205 not only projects the second light beam formed by the second light source 201, but also projects the third light beam formed by the third light source 203, which can ensure that, when the first light-emitting module 100 is working, the lens 205 corresponding to the second light-emitting module 200 is effectively illuminated to produce the satisfactory lighting effect. As shown in Figure 3, the dotted line represents the light beam path of the light from the second light source 201, and the solid line represents the light beam path of the light from the third light source 203.
  • In one example, the second reflective surface that collects and reflects the light emitted by the third light source 203 and the first reflective surface that collects and reflects the light emitted by the second light source 201 are the same surface. The third light source 203 and the second light source 201 share the reflector 202 without changing the structure of the second light-emitting module 200, so that the lens 205 of the second light-emitting module 200 and the first light-emitting module 100 can be lit together, to produce the satisfactory lighting results and ensure that the lens corresponding to the high beam can also be lit in the low-beam mode.
  • To ensure the lighting effect, the third light source 203 is preferably arranged close to the second light source 201. In one example, the distance between the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 may be set to 5-15 mm, to achieve a better lighting effect.
  • In an exemplary embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, the second light-emitting module 200 further comprises a printed circuit board 207, and the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 are provided on the printed circuit board 207. As an example, the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 are provided on the same printed circuit board, so that the structure of the optical module is more compact and the manufacturing cost is reduced. With the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 provided on the same printed circuit board, the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 can dissipate heat through the same radiator 208, further reducing the size of the light-emitting device. However, those skilled in the art should understand that, in other embodiments of the present disclosure, the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 may also be separately provided on different printed circuit boards.
  • In an exemplary embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 are provided in the same package structure to further simplify the structure of the printed circuit board and reduce the processing steps of the printed circuit board, thereby reducing costs.
  • As an example, the first light source 101, the second light source 201 and the third light source 203 may each comprise light-emitting diodes (LEDs) . LEDs have the advantages of a small size, low power consumption and a high luminous intensity. By use of LED light sources, the structure of the optical module can be more compact.
  • With the light-emitting device according to the present invention, by providing an additional light source in the second optical module of the light-emitting device, the lens corresponding to the high-beam function can be illuminated in the low-beam mode without causing interference to the low-beam function or the need to change other structures of the light-emitting device. The light-emitting device according to the present disclosure has a simple structure, can achieve an ideal lighting effect at a relatively low cost, and effectively improves the lighting appearance in the low-beam mode.
  • According to another aspect of the present disclosure, a headlamp for a motor vehicle is also provided, and the headlamp comprises the light-emitting device described above.
  • According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, a motor vehicle is also provided, and the motor vehicle comprises the headlamp described above.
  • The headlamp for a motor vehicle and the motor vehicle according to the present invention at least have the advantages of the light-emitting device described above.
  • Those skilled in the art should understand that all the embodiments described above are exemplary. In addition, those skilled in the art can improve them. The structures described in various embodiments can be freely combined without a conflict in structure or in principle.
  • Although the present invention has been explained in conjunction with the drawings, the embodiments disclosed in the drawings are intended to provide an illustrative description of preferred embodiments of the present invention, and cannot be interpreted as a limitation of the present invention.
  • Although some embodiments of the concept of the present disclosure have been shown and described, those ordinarily skilled in the art will understand that changes can be made to these embodiments without departing from the principle and motivation of the general concept of the present invention. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims and their equivalents.
  • It should be noted that the term “comprising” does not exclude other elements or steps, and the term “a” or “one” does not exclude a plurality. In addition, any element labels in the claims should not be understood as limiting the scope of the present invention.
