A player whose marker is placed in his/her area when the predetermined number of rounds end wins the game once, and a player who wins two games first wins the battle game. In this embodiment, the number of rounds in one game is three.
Preparation for Battle Game
-
Preparation for a battle game will be described with reference to Fig. 1. Each of a player and an opposing player is provided with a plurality of first type game items. In this embodiment, as illustrated in Fig. 1, each of the player and the opposing player is provided with a deck 5 consisting of a predetermined number of cards including unit cards 10 and option cards 30, and a leader card 20. In this embodiment, each player has the deck 5 that consists of 30 cards, and one leader card. The play sheet 4 is placed, and the marker 3 is placed on the marker area 43 in the play sheet 4. Each player places the leader card 20 on the player's leader area 46 in the play sheet 4. Each player shuffles his/her deck 5, and places the deck 5 on the player's deck area 45 in the play sheet 4 such that the game cards 2 are face down.
First Round
-
Each player draws a predetermined number of game cards 2 from the deck 5 for the hand 6. In this embodiment, each player draws 12 game cards 2 from the deck 5 for the hand 6. Each player places a predetermined number of game cards 2 from the hand 6 on the player's battle area 41 in the play sheet 4 such that the game cards 2 are face down. In this embodiment, the number of the game cards 2 placed on the player's battle area 41 is eight. Each player places a predetermined number of game cards 2 from the hand 6 on the player's unused cost area 44A in the play sheet 4 such that the game cards 2 are face down. In this embodiment, the number of the game cards 2 placed on the player's unused cost area 44A is four.
-
When the first round begins, the player and the opposing player decide who go first or second, and turns are alternately performed starting from the player who goes first.
-
Each player can perform any of the following actions A through D up to twice in each of his/her turns. It should be noted that these actions A through D are examples of actions that can be taken by players and are not limited to these examples.
- A The player can reverse a game card 2 that is placed face down in the player's battle area and place the card face up. In this action, the player needs to pay the cost of the game card 2. In this embodiment, the cost is a numerical value of the cost information written on the front side of the game card 2. The cost can be paid by moving a game card 2, which has a numerical value of the cost information greater than or equal to the numerical value of the above cost information and is placed in the unused cost area 44A, to the used cost area 44B. If the value of the cost information of the game card 2 that is placed in the unused cost area 44A is less than the numerical value of the above cost information, it is not possible to pay the cost. In other words, in such a case, the player cannot reverse and place the game card 2 face up.
- B The player can select a game card 2 that is placed in the battle area 41 of the opposing player as an attack target and attack the game card 2 by using a unit card 10 that is placed in the battle area 41 of the player.
-
When the player selects an attack target, if the player's unit card 10 is placed face down, after the selection, the player can place the unit card 10 in reverse from the back side to the front side. When the opposing player's game card 2 selected as the attack target is placed face down, the game card 2 is placed in reverse from the back side to the front side.
-
The first type game items include first type game items that can attack only the first type game items that are placed in the first area of the opposing player, the first area of the opposing player being close to the first area of the player, and the first type game items that can attack the first type game items that are placed in the first area of the opposing player, the first area of the opposing player being not close to the first area of the player. In this embodiment, the unit cards 10 include "short-distance attack" unit cards 10 that can attack only the game cards 2 that are placed in the battle area 41 of the opposing player, the battle area 41 of the opposing player being close to the battle area 41 of the player, and "long-distance attack" unit cards 10 that can attack the game cards 2 that are placed in the battle area 41 of the opposing player, the battle area 41 of the opposing player being not close to the battle area 41 of the player. Specific examples will be described below with reference to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7.
-
The short-distance attack and the long-distance attack will be described with reference to Fig. 6. In the short-distance attack, the unit cards 10 that are placed in the space B and space E on the player's side are unit cards 10 for short-distance attack. The unit card 10 in the space B can select the unit card 10 in the space b on the opposing player's side that is close as an attack target. On the other hand, the unit card 10 in the space B cannot select the unit card 10 in the space f on the opposing player's side that is not close as an attack target. In addition, the unit card 10 in the space E cannot select the unit card 10 in the space a on the opposing player's side that is not close as an attack target. In the long-distance attack, the unit card 10 that is placed in the space G on the player's side is a unit card 10 for long-distance attack. The unit card 10 in the space G can select the unit card 10 in the space c on the opposing player's side that is not close as an attack target.
-
The short-distance attack will be described further with reference to Fig. 7. The unit card 10 that is placed in the space E on the player's side is a unit card 10 for short-distance attack. When no game cards 2 are placed in the front row, that is, no game cards 2 are placed in the spaces A to D, which are the front row on the player's side, and no game cards 2 are placed in the spaces a to d, which are the front row on the opposing player's side, the unit card 10 in the space E in the back row can select the unit card 10 that is not close and is placed in the space e in the back row on the opposing player's side as an attack target.
-
Based on second information on an attacking first type game item and second information on an attacked first type game item, the winner is determined, and the first type game item of the loser is removed from the first area. In this embodiment, for example, the power information 14 of the unit card 10 of the player for attack is "power 3", and the life information 15 of the unit card 10 of the opposing player to be attacked is "life 2", and then, the value of the power of the unit card 10 for attacking is greater than or equal to the value of the life of the attacked unit card 10, and therefore, the attacking unit card 10 wins and the attacked unit card 10 of the loser is removed from the battle area 41. Alternatively, in this embodiment, when the power information 14 of the unit card 10 of the player for attack is "power 3" and the life information 15 is "life 3", and the power information 14 of the attacked unit card 10 of the opposing player is "power 3" and the life information 15 is "life 2", the value of the power of the unit card 10 for attacking is greater than or equal to the value of the life of the attacked unit card 10 and the value of the power of the attacked unit card 10 is greater than or equal to the life value of the attacking unit card 10, and therefore, both of the attacking unit card 10 and the attacked unit card 10 may lose, and both of the lost attacking unit card 10 and the lost attacked unit card 10 may be removed from the battle area 41. The removed unit cards 10 may be placed in the removal area 42.
-
C The player can use an ability of a unit card 10 that is placed face up in the player's battle area 41. To use the ability is to perform the content written in the ability information 17 of the unit card 10.
-
D The player can move a unit card 10 that is placed face up in the player's battle area 41 from the space where the unit card 10 is placed to another space. In this action, the unit card 10 can be moved under a condition that no game card 2 is placed in another space that is the destination space. In Fig. 8, no game card 2 is placed in the space A, and game cards 2 are placed in the space B and space C. In this case, the game card 2 placed in the space B can be moved to the space A but cannot be moved to the space C.
-
In this embodiment, the marker 3 is moved based on the difference between the total of the marker information 16 on a unit card 10 and the marker information 23 on a leader card 20 of the player and the total of the marker information 16 on a unit card 10 and a marker information 23 of the leader card 20 of the opposing player. In the example illustrated in Fig. 9, the marker of the player's unit card 10 is "1" and the marker of the leader card 20 is "1", and the total is "2". On the other hand, the marker of the opposing player's leader card 20 is "1" and the game card 2 that is placed face down is not counted, and thus the total is "1". Accordingly, the difference between the player's total and the opposing player's total is "1", and the marker 3 is moved to the player's side by the difference, as illustrated in the marker area 43 in Fig. 9.
-
The first round ends when both players can no longer take action and pass turns to each other. The winning player of the first round is then determined based on the position of the marker 3 placed in the marker area 43.
Second Round
-
Each player collects the first type game items that are placed in his/her area. In this embodiment, each player collects eight game cards 2 placed in the battle area 41 and the removal area 42. In this process, the game cards 2 placed in the used cost area 44B are moved to the unused cost area 44A. In this action, the number of the game cards 2 placed in the unused cost area 44A is four.
