Definitions

• US3215307 and US3167210 disclose liners for closed head drums - i.e. for drums in which a top wall or headstock (usually containing bungholes for filling and venting purposes) is seamed or otherwise permanently secured onto the drum body. (This contrasts with open head drums, in which the top wall is formed by a separate lid removably secured to a reinforced rim or end chime at an open upper end of the drum body, typically using a clamp ring or the like).
