A BLANK FOR FOMING A PACKAGE AND A PACKAGE FORMED FROM
SUCH A BLANK
Field of the invention
The invention relates to a blank configured to form a package. The invention also relates to a package formed from such a blank. The blank and package are specifically designed to be provided with a moisture resistant inside. Such a package may e.g., be used to hold wet products, such as wet food products, such as meat vegetables or fish.
Background art
When designing a package, it is often desirous to take into account a number of different design criteria. The package should e.g., often be designed such that it makes efficient use of the material, is easy to transport to the point of use, is easy to prepare for use, and provides a strong structure. It is often desirable that it is strong during handling and stable in an erected state. Moreover, it should often be capable of being erected into a box with a lid and used as a box with a lid without the use of any adhesive or any similar means of keeping the box erected and/or closed, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means. When designing a package for transport of wet food products, such as meat, vegetables, or fish, it is often difficulty to make the package capable of remaining mechanically stable over a sufficient time period.
Packages made from cardboard are beneficial since they do not take up much space before they are erected, during for example transport. There exist numerous attempts to address the above design criteria in connection to designing a package of cardboard material. WO 2021/079264 A1 for instance discloses a package and a blank configured to be erected into such package. The blank comprises a bottom panel, a first and a second side wall panels, end wall panels, top wall panels and a lid panel. The second side wall panel comprises longitudinal end portions, wherein the lid panel is connected to the second side wall panel along a longitudinal central portion positioned between the longitudinal end portions.
SE 326397 discloses a package and a blank configured to be erected into such package. The blank comprises corner panels being foldable relative to end wall panels and to side wall panels. The corner panels includes flaps being configured to be positioned between and to be glued to top panels foldably connected to the end wall panels.
However, it may be noted that the prior art document does not adequately address the set of design criteria that the package should make efficient use of the material, be formed of one single blank, be easy to erect, be closed and locked in a simple manner in the erected state and provide a strong structure, while being capable of being erected into a package without the use of any adhesive or any similar means of keeping the package erected and/or closed, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means, while also being capable of transporting wet food products.

It is an object of the invention to provide a package concept which addresses at least some of the set of design criteria described above, namely that the package should make efficient use of the material, be formed of one single blank, be easy to erect, be closed in a simple manner in the erected state and provide a strong structure, while being capable of being erected into a package without the use of any adhesive or any similar means of keeping the package erected and/or closed, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means, while also being capable of transporting wet food products.
This object has been achieved by a blank configured to form a package, the blank comprising: a bottom panel, a rear wall panel being foldably connected to a first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, a front wall panel being foldably connected to a second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, two opposing end wall panels being foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel, two opposing sets of top wall panels being foldably connected to a respective one of the two end wall panels along transversally extending sides of the respective end wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein each set of top wall panels comprises a first top wall panel and a second top wall panel foldably connected to each other and arranged one after the other as seen along a longitudinal direction, wherein each set of top wall panels is configured to form a double-walled top wall when the blank is erected to form the package, wherein the first top wall panel is connected to the end wall panel and is configured to form an upper surface of the double-walled top wall and the second top wall panel is connected to the first top wall panel and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled top wall, two rear sets of corner panels, each rear set of corner panel being located at a respective rear corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the rear wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels comprising an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective rear corner of the bottom panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package, two rear locking flaps, each rear locking flap being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels such that the rear locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each rear locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall, two front set of corner panels, each front set of corner panels being located at a respective front corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the front wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each front set of corner panels comprises an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective front corner of the bottom panel, wherein each front set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the front wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package, two front locking flaps, each front locking flap being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels and extending away from the respective front set of corner panels such that the front locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each front locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall, wherein the blank further comprises two front locking tongues formed on the front wall panel (22) or formed on a front top wall panel being foldably connected to the front wall panel along a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein the two front locking tongues (85) extends transversally from the front wall panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel (22) being opposite the bottom panel (10) such that each front locking tongue, as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends transversally inwardly from the front wall panel (22) or wherein the two front locking tongues (85) extends transversally from the front top panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front top panel being opposite the front wall panel such that each front locking tongues, as the blank is erected into the package, extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel, and such that each front locking tongue is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall, wherein respective second top wall panel comprises at least one locking tongue being positioned along a transversally extending side of the respective second top wall panel, opposite the first top wall panel, and extending away from the second top wall panel along the longitudinal direction, and wherein at least one locking recess is formed in the respective end wall panel or in a fold line between the respective end wall panel and the respective first top wall panel, wherein the at least one locking tongue on the respective second top wall panel is/are configured to be inserted into the respective locking recess when the first and second top wall panels are folded to form the double-walled top wall and thereby lock the double-walled top wall in the erected state.
With such a blank, there is provided a blank for forming a package having a bottom panel, a rear wall panel, a front wall panel, two opposing end wall panels and two doubled-walled top walls. Thus, the package may, and preferably is, formed from one single blank. With the disclosed design, especially in an embodiment where one blank comprises all components, it is facilitated to provide a package which makes efficient use of the material and at the same time is easy to erect into the package as well as easy to close in the erected state. It is preferred that the bottom panel, the rear and front wall panels, the two end wall panels and the two sets of top wall panels extend along a single common plane, as seen in a flat-laid state of the blank.
With such a design, where the respective first and second top wall panels are configured to be folded relative to each other to form the respective double-walled top wall, the provision of a strong structure is facilitated. Preferably, the provision of a strong structure when stacking other packages on top of the package is facilitated. It may be noted that the double- walled top walls will for parts of its planar extension include more than two layers of material; the first and second top wall panels and for instance a rear locking flap which is positioned between the first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall when the blank is erected to form the package. However, the term double-walled is here intended to refer to the fact that the top wall is formed of two major top wall panels being connected to and folded relative to each other. It may be noted that the double-walled top wall extends inwardly from an upper edge of the respective end wall panel as seen when the blank is erected to form the package.
The term “inside surface of the double-walled top wall” may also be referred to as a downwardly facing surface of the double-walled top wall.
Thus, as the blank is erected to form the package, the inside surface of the double-walled top wall may be oriented downwardly facing the bottom of the package. Preferably, as the blank is erected to form the package, the first top wall panel, the second top wall panel and the bottom panel are arranged in parallel planes.
The rear set of corner panels may be designed to provide for leak-tight corners of the package, as the blank is erected to form the package. Thus, by interconnecting the rear wall panel with the respective end wall panel via the respective rear set of corner panels is a convenient manner of making it possible to provide a package having closed corners. This may be especially useful in combination with a polymer-coating on a major surface intended to form an inside of the package. Such a package may e.g., be useful to transport moist food products, such as fish, meat etc.
The term “at the respective rear corner of the bottom panel” is herein meant in the geometrical area formed outside of the geometrical extensions of the intersecting fold line formed between the bottom panel and the rear wall panel, respectively between the bottom panel and the end wall panel at the respective corner as seen in the flat-laid state of the blank. The term “a respective end of the rear wall panel” is herein meant two opposing ends of the rear wall panel as seen along the longitudinal direction in the flat-laid state of the blank. The term “a respective end of the end wall panel” is herein meant two opposing ends of the end wall panel as seen along the transversal direction in the flat-laid state of the blank. With such a design, where the respective rear set of corner panels is folded into triangular flaps into the interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, as the blank is erected to form the package, the provision of a strong, stable, and leak-tight package is facilitated. By folding the rear set of corner panels into the interior of the package facilitates provision of that it may be easier to prevent moist to penetrate from an outside of the package to the interior of the package compared to if the rear sets of corner panels would be folded to an outside surface of the package.
By folding the rear set of corner panels alongside the respective end wall panel facilitate provision of that the double-walled top walls and the bottom panel are arranged in parallel plane such that a strong and stable package is formed. Moreover, the package may be capable of remaining mechanically stable over a sufficient time period.
The outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels may be referred to as an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending free edge of the respective rear set of corner panels. Thus, the outwardly facing side may be an outwardly facing free edge when the locking flap is imaginarily excluded from the blank.
With such a design, where each rear locking flap being foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels and being positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel, as the blank is erected to form the package, the provision of a stable package in which each rear locking flap, but also the respective rear set of corner panels, are kept in place is facilitated. This facilitates provision of a stable package when in the erected state. This facilitates provision of keeping the package in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means.
Each rear locking flap may be foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels along longitudinally extending sides of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective set of corner panels along a transversal direction. The transversal direction is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
Each rear locking flap may, and preferably is, foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels along a respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels along the longitudinal direction.
With such a design, the provision of making efficient use of the material is facilitated. Moreover, it is made possible to provide a lid having an extension along, or even greater than, the complete longitudinal extension of the rear side wall panel. Thus, it is made possible to have a lid which covers the top wall panels and which lid also may be provided with lid end wall panels.
Similarly, the front set of corner panels may be designed to provide for leak-tight corners of the package, as the blank is erected to form the package. Thus, by interconnecting the front wall panel with the respective end wall panel via the front set of corner panels is a convenient manner of making it possible to provide a package having closed corners also in the front.
The term “at the respective front corner of the bottom panel” is herein meant in the geometrical area formed outside of the geometrical extensions of the intersecting fold line formed between the bottom panel and the front wall panel, respectively between the bottom panel and the end wall panel at the respective corner. The term “a respective end of the front wall panel” is herein meant two opposing ends of the front wall panel as seen along the longitudinal direction. The term “a respective end of the end wall panel” is herein meant two opposing ends of the end wall panel as seen along the transversal direction. Moreover, with the two front locking flaps, the rear sets of corner panels and the front sets of corner panels are locked and kept in place in the similar way, as the blank is erected to form the package. This facilitates provision of a stable package when in the erected state. This facilitates provision of keeping the package in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means. Furthermore, the respective locking tongue is configured to be removably insertable into respective locking recess when the blank has been erected to form the package. With the disclosed design, as the blank has been erected to form the package, the package may be kept in place. This facilitates provision of a stable package when in the erected state. This facilitates provision of keeping the package in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means. It may also be noted that the disclosed design may also be returned into a flat-laid state again, which facilitates recycling.
According to a second aspect, the above object has also been achieved by a blank configured to form a package, the blank comprising: a bottom panel, a rear wall panel being foldably connected to a first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, a front wall panel being foldably connected to a second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, two opposing end wall panels being foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel, two opposing sets of top wall panels being foldably connected to a respective one of the two end wall panels along transversally extending sides of the respective end wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein each set of top wall panels comprises a first top wall panel and a second top wall panel foldably connected to each other and arranged one after the other as seen along a longitudinal direction, wherein each set of top wall panels is configured to form a double-walled top wall when the blank is erected to form the package, wherein the first top wall panel is connected to the end wall panel and is configured to form an upper surface of the double-walled top wall and the second top wall panel is connected to the first top wall panel and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled top wall, two rear sets of corner panels, each rear set of corner panel being located at a respective rear corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the rear wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels comprising an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective rear corner of the bottom panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package, two rear locking flaps, each rear locking flap being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels such that the rear locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each rear locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall.
The advantages associated with the various features of the blank have been discussed in detail above in relation to the blank according to a first aspect and that discussion is equally applicable to the features of in respect of the blank according to the second aspect in those cases a respective feature is present in the blank according to the second aspect.
The blank may further comprise a lid panel being foldably connected to the rear wall panel along a longitudinally extending side of the rear wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein the lid panel is configured to, in an erected state of the blank, abut the respective first top wall panel forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall.
The lid panel may be configured to form a lid of the package as seen in the erected state. This is especially advantageous in combination with a design, in which each rear locking flap is foldably connected to the respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and the blank comprises the lid panel, the provision of designing the lid panel in a flexible way is facilitated. Thus, by arranging each rear locking flap along the respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels, the lid panel may be designed in any suitable way independently of the design of the rear locking flaps. However, it should be noted that if the rear locking flaps are foldably connected to the respective longitudinally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels, the lid panel may still be designed in a flexible way but being dependent on the design of the rear locking flaps. Preferably, as the blank is erected to form the package, the bottom panel, the double-walled top wall, and the lid panel are arranged in parallel planes.
The lid panel may be configured to, in the erected state of the blank, abut the respective first top wall panel forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall, wherein the respective rear locking flap and the lid panel have at least partly, and preferably completely, overlapping projections in a plane parallel to the lid panel.
With such a design, as the blank is erected to form the package, the provision of closing the package is facilitated. As the blank is erected to form the package, an opening covering a complete width, between the rear wall panel and the front wall panel or an optional front top wall panel, of the package as seen along the transverse direction and a complete length, between the respective double-walled top wall, of the package as seen along the longitudinal direction is formed. The fact that respective rear locking flap and the lid panel have overlapping projections in the plane parallel to the lid panel allows for the lid panel covering such opening as seen along the transverse direction. The fact that respective rear locking flap and the lid panel have overlapping projections in the plane parallel to the lid panel allows for the lid panel covering such opening as seen along the longitudinal direction. Thus, with such a design, the provision of a fully-covering lid is facilitated. Preferably, this is made possible due to the position of the rear locking flaps being connected to the transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels such that the lid panel may be designed in a flexible way, independently of the rear locking flaps. The blank may further comprises a lid front panel being foldably connected to the lid panel along a longitudinally extending side of the lid panel, opposite the rear wall panel, wherein the lid front panel is configured to, in an erected state of the blank, abut an outside surface of the front wall panel.
The lid front panel may comprise a first lid front sub-panel and a second lid front sub-panel. The first and second lid front sub-panels are configured to form a double-walled lid front when the blank is erected to form the package. The first lid front sub-panel is connected to the lid panel and is configured to form an outside surface of the double-walled lid front. The second lid front sub-panel is connected to the first lid front sub-panel and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled lid front.
The blank may further comprise two opposing lid end wall panels being foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides of the lid panel, wherein the respective lid end wall panel is configured to, in the erected state of the blank, abut an outside surface of the respective end wall panel.
By forming a lid with the lid panel, the lid front panel and the two opposing lid end wall panels facilitates provision of a strong and stable lid. Moreover, having the lid with the lid panel, the lid front panel and the two opposing lid end wall panels provides protection of the front wall panel, the two opposing end wall panels and the two double-walled top walls, as the lid is closing the package.
The blank may further comprise two lid locking flaps being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally extending side of the respective lid end wall panel. The respective lid locking flap may extend away from the respective lid end wall panel along the transversal direction. Each lid locking flap, as the blank is erected to form the package, may be positioned between the respective first and second lid front sub-panel forming the double-walled lid front. Thereby, a locking of the lid, as the blank is erected to form the package, is facilitated. The lid front panel may comprise at least two opposing lid tongues being positioned along two opposing transversally extending sides of the lid front panel and extending away from the lid front panel along the longitudinal direction. The blank may further comprise at least one lid locking recess formed in the respective lid end wall panel or in a fold line between the respective lid end wall panel and the respective lid locking flap. The at least two opposing lid tongues may be configured to be inserted into the respective lid recess when the lid end wall panels and lid front panel being configured to be folded into the lid and thereby lock the lid in the erected state.
Respective lid locking tongue being configured to be removably insertable into respective lid locking recess when the blank is erected to form the package. With the disclosed design, as the blank has been erected to form the package, the package, and especially the lid of the package, may be kept in place. This facilitates provision of a stable lid when the blank is erected to form the package. This facilitates provision of keeping the package, and especially the lid of the package, in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means.
It may in this context be noted that the lid may be designed in a number of different ways. It may e.g., be designed with double-walled lid end walls formed by two sets of lid end wall panels, each set being located at a respective transversally extending side of the lid panel and comprising two lid end wall panels arranged on after the other along the longitudinal direction. The respective double-walled lid end wall may be kept in the intended double- walled position by the outer one of the lid wall panels comprising tongues being intended to be inserted into recesses formed at the fold line between the lid panel and the inner one of the lid wall panels. The lid front panel may in this design be provided with two lid locking flaps, each extending longitudinally from a respective transversally extending side of the lid front panel, wherein the respective lid locking flap is intended to be inserted between the panels of the respective double-walled lid end wall. Each rear locking flap may be foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels along a respective fold line, the fold line being angled an angle a relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel decreases with increasing transversal distance from the respective end wall panel, the angle a being between 0-10 degrees.
The angle a may be between about 0 and 10 degrees such that the end walls extend vertically or extend slightly inclined inwardly; inwardly in the sense that they lean inwardly over the projection of the bottom panel. This provides strong packages capable of being stacked one on top of the other. It has been found that a slight angle inwardly also improves the locking effect between the different panels at the end walls. Moreover, a slight inward inclination of the end walls allows a vertical lid end wall panel to pass the locking tongue which may be extending out through the locking recess. It is preferred that the angle a is about 2-7 degrees. In the preferred embodiment, the angle a is about 5 degrees.
Each rear set of corner panels is foldably connected to the rear wall panel along a respective fold line, the fold line being angled an angle b relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel decreases with increasing transversal distance from the bottom panel, the angle b being between 0-10 degrees.
The angle b may be between about 0 and 10 degrees such that the end walls extend vertically or extend slightly inclined inwardly; inwardly in the sense that they lean inwardly over the projection of the bottom panel. This provides strong packages capable of being stacked one on top of the other. It has been found that a slight angle inwardly also improves the locking effect between the different panels at the end walls. Moreover, a slight inward inclination of the end walls allows a vertical lid end wall panel to pass the locking tongue which may be extending out through the locking recess. It is preferred that the angle b is about 2-7 degrees. In the preferred embodiment, the angle b is about 5 degrees. It may be noted that in order for the rearward locking flaps to end up in a horizontal orientation, it is preferred that the angle a and the angle b is about the same angle. In the preferred embodiment, both the angle a and the angle b is about 5 degrees.
Respective second top wall panel may comprise at least one locking tongue being positioned along a transversally extending side of the respective second top wall panel, opposite the first top wall panel, and extending away from the second top wall panel along the longitudinal direction, and wherein the blank may further comprise at least one locking recess formed in the respective end wall panel or in a fold line between the respective end wall panel and the respective first top wall panel, wherein the at least one locking tongue on the respective second top wall panel is/are configured to be inserted into the respective locking recess when the first and second top wall panels are folded to form the double-walled top wall and thereby lock the double-walled top wall in the erected state.
Respective locking tongue is configured to be removably insertable into respective locking recess when the blank has been erected to form the package. With the disclosed design, as the blank has been erected to form the package, the package may be kept in place. This facilitates provision of a stable package when in the erected state. This facilitates provision of keeping the package in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means. It may also be noted that the disclosed design may also be returned into a flat- laid state again, which facilitates recycling.
The blank may further comprise a double fold line between the first top wall panel and the second top wall panel, the double fold line comprising a first fold line being positioned closest to the first top wall panel and a second fold line, the first and second fold line defining an intermediate panel.
Preferably, the intermediate panel may have a length along the longitudinal direction, as seen in the flat-laid state, which is equal to, or slightly greater than, a material thickness of the rear locking flap. With such a design, the respective rear locking flap may easily be fitted between the respective first and second top wall panel, as the blank being erected to form the package. Thereby, the bottom panel, the rear locking flaps and the first and second top wall panels are easily arranged in parallel planes. However, the respective second top wall panel may be slightly deviated from the parallel planes. If the respective second top wall panel slightly deviates from the parallel planes, it is considered preferred that the respective first top wall panel is parallel with the bottom and that the respective second top wall panel is pointing upwardly and outwardly towards the respective first top wall panel, as long as the respective rear locking flap fits between the respective first and second top wall panel.
The blank may further comprise two front set of corner panels, each front set of corner panels being located at a respective front corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the front wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each front set of corner panels comprises an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective front corner of the bottom panel, wherein each front set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the front wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package.
The front set of corner panels may be designed to provide for leak-tight corners of the package, as the blank is erected to form the package. Thus, by interconnecting the front wall panel with the respective end wall panel via the front set of corner panels is a convenient manner of making it possible to provide a package having closed corners also in the front.

The blank may further comprise two front locking flaps, each front locking flap may be foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels and extending away from the respective front set of corner panels such that the front locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each front locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall.
With such a design, the rear sets of corner panels and the front sets of corner panels are locked and kept in place in the similar way, as the blank is erected to form the package. This facilitates provision of a stable package when in the erected state. This facilitates provision of keeping the package in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means.
Moreover, the provision of having a flexible design of the front wall panel, e.g., having a front wall panel with a free upper edge, but still being able to lock the front wall panel in the erected state is facilitated. Thus, it is possible to design the front wall panel in any suitable way and at the same time being able to lock the front wall panel in the erected state.
The front wall panel may comprise two front locking flaps or tongues extending transversally from the front wall panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel being opposite the bottom panel such that each front locking flap or tongue, as the blank is erected into the package, extends transversally inwardly from the front wall panel and such that each front locking flap or tongue may be positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall.
The blank may further comprise a front top wall panel being foldably connected to the front wall panel along a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein the front top panel comprises two front locking tongues extending transversally from the front top panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front top panel being opposite the front wall panel such that each front locking tongues, as the blank is erected into the package, extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel and such that each front locking tongue is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall.
With such a design, the provision of locking the front wall panel and the front top wall panel, as the blank is erected to form the package, is facilitated. Moreover, the front top wall panel together with the double-walled top walls may provide a possibility of stacking packages in an easy and even more stable way than without the front top wall panel. It may in this context be noted that the respective second top wall panel is slightly shorter than the associated end wall panel; shorter a distance corresponding to the transversal extension of the front top wall panel, such that the second top wall panel may be folded relative to the first top wall panel and around the locking tongues of the front top wall.
The blank may be made of paper-based material. Paper-based material may provide a lightweight package. Paper-based material is environmentally friendly and can be recycled in a simple manner. Paper- based material may provide a package that is easy to transport and handle before the blank is erected to form the package. It may be noted that the blank may be made of other materials. It may be noted that the blank as a whole may be made of paper-based material. It may be noted that the blank may be made of a paper-based material coated with another material, such as a plastic coating on the inside and/or on the outside. It may be noted that the blank need not to be made of the same material through-out.
The above-mentioned object has also been achieved by a package formed from a blank of the kind disclosed above. The package is formed from the blank, wherein the bottom panel forms a bottom of the package, the rear wall panel is folded in relation to the first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the rear wall panel forms a rear wall of the package, wherein the rear wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, the front wall panel is folded in relation to the second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the front wall panel forms a front wall of the package, wherein the front wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, wherein the rear wall and the front wall preferably extend along parallel planes, the two rear sets of corner panels are folded along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, preferably, the respective rear set of corner panels and the respective end wall extend along parallel planes, the two rear locking flaps are folded in relation to outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels such that the respective rear locking flap extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel, the two opposing end wall panels are folded in relation to the two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel such that the end wall panels form two opposing end walls, wherein the respective end wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, the two front set of corner panels are folded along the inclined fold line relative to the front wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, the two front locking flaps are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side, preferably the transversally extending side, of the respective front set of corner panels such that the front locking flap extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel, the two front locking tongues or the optional front top wall panel are/is folded relative to the front wall panel such that the two front locking tongues extends transversally inwardly from the front wall panel or extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel, the respective first and second top wall panel are folded relative to each other and relative to the respective end wall panel to form the double- walled top wall, wherein the respective double-walled top wall preferably forms a right angle to the respective end wall, with the respective rear locking flap, the respective front locking flap, and the respective front locking tongue being inserted between the respective first and second top wall, and wherein the double-walled top wall is locked in the erected state by the at least one locking tongue on the respective second top wall panel being inserted into the respective locking recess when the first and second top wall panels are folded to form the double-walled top wall.
The advantages associated with the various features of the package have been discussed in detail above in relation to the blank and that discussion is equally applicable to the features of the package.
The above-mentioned object has also been achieved by a package formed from a blank of the kind disclosed above in relation to the second aspect. The package is thus formed from the blank, wherein the bottom panel forms a bottom of the package, the rear wall panel is folded in relation to the first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the rear wall panel forms a rear wall of the package, wherein the rear wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, the front wall panel is folded in relation to the second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the front wall panel forms a front wall of the package, wherein the front wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, wherein the rear wall and the front wall preferably extend along parallel planes, the two rear sets of corner panels are folded along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, preferably, the respective rear set of corner panels and the respective end wall extend along parallel planes, the two rear locking flaps are folded in relation to outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels such that the respective rear locking flap extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel, the two opposing end wall panels are folded in relation to the two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel such that the end wall panels form two opposing end walls, wherein the respective end wall preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel, and the respective first and second top wall panel are folded relative to each other and relative to the respective end wall panel to form the double- walled top wall, wherein the respective double-walled top wall preferably forms a right angle to the respective end wall, with the respective rear locking flap being inserted between the respective first and second top wall.
The advantages associated with the various features of the package have been discussed in detail above in relation to the blank and that discussion is equally applicable to the features of the package according to this second aspect.
The disclosure may also in short be said to relate to a blank configured to form a package, the blank comprising a bottom panel, a rear wall panel, a front wall panel, two opposing end wall panels, two opposing sets of top wall panels, two rear sets of corner panels and two rear locking flaps. Each set of top wall panels is configured to form a double-walled top wall when the blank is erected to form the package. Each rear locking flap being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels such that the rear locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each rear locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double- walled top wall.
It may be noted that the use of first, second, third, fourth, etc. are mainly to be seen as labels facilitating reading and that it does not necessarily mean that there need to be all the intervening numbers of panels or fold lines present. However, to facilitate reading, the numbering first, second, third, fourth, etc., have consistently been used as labels, and in a sense the numbering is based on an embodiment including all conceivable panels.

Description of Embodiments
The present invention will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which currently preferred embodiments of the invention are shown. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be constructed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided for thoroughness and completeness, and fully convey the scope of the invention to the skilled person.
Figure 1 shows a blank 1 as seen in a flat-laid state. The blank 1 is configured to form a package 100 as shown in figure 3. Figures 2A-E show different stages of how the blank 1 of Fig. 1 is erected into the package 100 of Fig. 3. The blank comprises a bottom panel 10, a rear wall panel 21 , a front wall panel 22 and two opposing end wall panels 31 , 32. The rear wall panel 21 is foldably connected to a first longitudinally extending side LSBP1 of the bottom panel 10. The front wall panel 22 is foldably connected to a second longitudinally extending side LSBP2 of the bottom panel 10. The second longitudinally extending side LSBP2 of the bottom panel 10 is opposite the first longitudinally extending side LSBP1 of the bottom panel 10. The two opposing end wall panels 31 , 32 are foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides TSBP1 , TSBP2 of the bottom panel 10.
The blank 1 further comprises two opposing sets of top wall panels 40. The two opposing sets of top wall panes 40 are foldably connected to a respective one of the two end wall panels 31 , 32 along transversally extending sides TSEP1 , TSEP2 of the respective end wall panel 31 , 32, opposite the bottom panel 10. Each set of top wall panels 40 comprises a first top wall panel 41 and a second top wall panel 42. The first and second top wall panel 41 , 42 are foldably connected to each other and arranged one after the other as seen along a longitudinal direction L. Each set of top wall panels 40 is configured to form a double-walled top wall 140, when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100, as best illustrated in Figs 2E and 3. The first top wall panel 41 is connected to the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. The first top wall panel 41 is configured to form an upper surface of the double- walled top wall 140. The respective second top wall panel 42 is connected to the respective first top wall panel 41. The second top wall panel 42 is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled top wall 140, when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100.
The respective second top wall panel 42 may comprise at least one locking tongue 45. The at least one locking tongue 45 may be positioned along a transversally extending side of the respective second top wall panel 42, opposite the first top wall panel 41. The at least one locking tongue 45 may extend away from the second top wall panel 42 along the longitudinal direction L. The blank 1 may further comprises at least one locking recess 46. The at least one locking recess 46 may be formed in the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. The at least one locking recess 46 may be formed in a fold line 44 between the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 and the respective first top wall panel 41. As best illustrated in Fig. 2E, the at least one locking tongue 45 on the respective second top wall panel 42 is/are configured to be inserted into the respective locking recess 46 when the first and second top wall panels 41 , 42 are folded to form the double-walled top wall 140. Thereby, the at least one locking tongue 45 and the at least one locking recess 46 may lock the double-walled top wall 140 in the erected state.
The blank 1 may further comprises a double fold line between the first top wall panel 41 and the second top wall panel 42. The double fold line may comprise a first fold line 47 and a second fold line 48. The first fold line 47 may be positioned closest to the first top wall panel 41. The first and second fold line 47, 48 may define an intermediate panel 49. Preferably, the intermediate panel 49 has a longitudinal extension, as seen in the flat-laid state, which is equal to or slightly greater than, preferably equal to, a thickness of the respective rear locking flap 55. Thereby, the respective rear locking flap 55 may fit between the first and second top wall panels 31 , 32 when inserted between the first and second top wall panels 31 , 32.
The blank 1 further comprises two rear sets of corner panels 50. Each rear set of corner panels 50 is located at a respective rear corner of the bottom panel 10. Each rear set of corner panels 50 is interconnecting a respective end of the rear wall panel 21 with a respective end of the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. Each rear set of corner panels 50 may be foldably connected to the rear wall panel 21 along a respective fold line 57. The fold line 57 may be angled an angle b relative to the transversal direction T. Thereby, a longitudinal distance between the fold line 57 and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel TCLR decreases with increasing transversal distance from the bottom panel 10. Preferably, the angle b is between 0-10 degrees. Each rear set of corner panels 50 may be foldably connected to the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 along a respective fold line 58. Each rear set of corner panels 50 comprises an inclined fold line 51 which extends along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective rear corner of the bottom panel 10. As illustrated in Fig. 1 , the respective rear set of corner panels 50 may comprise a cut-out 50c in the outermost corner portion of the rear set of corner panels 50. The cut-out 50c is positioned such that it crosses the imaginary extension of the fold line 51. Preferably the cut-out 50c is bisected by the imaginary extension of the fold line 51. The cut-out 50c shortens the length of the upwardly facing edge of the corner panels 50 that extends from the corner and inwardly along the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. This in turn provides space for a transversal extension of the locking tongue 45 and locking recess 46. The blank 1 further comprises two rear locking flaps 55. Each rear locking flap 55 is foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels 50 and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels 50. Preferably, each rear locking flap 55 is foldably connected a respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels 50 and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels 50 along the longitudinal direction L.
Each rear locking flap 55 may be foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels 50 along a respective fold line 56. The fold line 56 may be angled an angle a relative to a transversal direction T. Thereby, a longitudinal distance between the fold line 56 and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel decreases with increasing transversal distance from the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. Preferably, the angle a is between 0-10 degrees.
As best illustrated in Fig. 2A, when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100, the rear wall panel 21 may be folded in relation to the first longitudinally extending side LSBP1 of the bottom panel 10 thereby forming a rear wall 121 of the package 100. Preferably, the rear wall 121 forms a right angle to the bottom panel 10.
The front wall panel 22 may be folded in relation to the second longitudinally extending side LSBP2 of the bottom panel 10 thereby forming a front wall 122 of the package 100. Preferably, the front wall 122 forms a right angle to the bottom panel 10. Preferably, the rear wall 121 and the front wall 122 are arranged along parallel planes.
As best illustrated in Figs 2A and 2B, when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100, the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 may be folded in relation to the respective transversally extending side TSBP1 , TSBP2 of the bottom panel 10 thereby forming a respective end wall 131 , 132 of the package 100. Preferably, the respective end wall 131 , 132 forms a right angle to the bottom panel 10. Preferably, the respective end wall 131, 132 forms a right angle to the rear wall 121 and the front wall 122.
Moreover, each rear set of corner panels 50 is foldable along the inclined fold line 51 relative to the rear wall panel 21 , to the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 and to each other about the inclined fold line 51 into triangular flaps 155. Each triangular flap 155, formed from the respective rear set of corner panels 50, are folded into an interior of the package 100 and alongside the respective end wall panel 31 , 32, when the blank 1 is erected into the package 100, as best illustrated in Figs. 2A-E and 3. As the blank 1 is erected into the package 100, and the respective rear set of corner panels 50 are folded as previously discussed, the respective rear locking flap 55 extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel 31, 32. Thereby, each rear locking flap 55 is positioned such that when the first top wall panel 41 is folded relative to the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 and the second top wall panel 42 is folded relative to the first top wall panel 41 , the respective rear locking flap 55 becomes positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel 41 , 42 forming the double-walled top wall 140. The outer free edge of the second top wall panel 42 may in this folding operation interact with the corner panels 50, and especially along the edge formed by the internal fold line 51 , such that the corner panels 50 and thus also the locking flaps 55 are guided towards their intended position while the person erecting folding the blank folds the first and second top wall panels 41 , 42. The blank 1 further comprises a lid panel 70. The lid panel 70 is foldably connected to the rear wall panel 21 along a longitudinally extending side LSRP of the rear wall panel 21, opposite the bottom panel 10. The blank 1 further comprises a lid front panel 73. The lid front panel 73 is foldably connected to the lid panel 70 along a longitudinally extending side LSLP of the lid panel 70, opposite the rear wall panel 21. The blank 1 further comprises two opposing lid end wall panels 71 , 72. The two opposing lid end wall panels 71 , 72 are foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides TSLP1 , TSLP2 of the lid panel 70. Preferably, the lid panel 70, the lid front panel 73 and the two opposing lid end wall panels 71, 72 form a lid 170 of the package 100. However, it should be noted that the lid may be design in different ways although not illustrated.
As best understood from Fig. 3, as the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100 and the package 100 comprises the lid 170 as discussed above, the lid panel 70 is configured to be folded relative to the rear wall panel 21 such that the inside surface of the lid panel 70 abuts the respective first top wall panel 41 forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall 140. Preferably, as the lid panel 70 is abutting the respective first top wall panel 41 forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall 140, the respective rear locking flap 55 and the lid panel 70 have overlapping projections in a plane parallel to the lid panel 70. The lid front panel 73 is configured to abut an outside surface of the front wall panel 22. The respective lid end wall panel 71, 72 is configured to abut an outside surface of the respective end wall panel 31 , 32.
The lid front panel 73 may comprise a first lid front sub-panel 73a and a second lid front sub-panel 73b. The first and second lid front sub-panels 73a, 73b may be configured to form a double-walled lid front 173 when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100. The first lid front sub-panel 73a is connected to the lid panel 70 and is configured to form an outside surface of the double-walled lid front 173. The second lid front sub-panel 73b is connected to the first lid front sub-panel 73a and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled lid front 173. The blank may further comprise two lid locking flaps 75 being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally extending side of the respective lid end wall panel 71, 72. The respective lid locking flap 75 may extend away from the respective lid end wall panel 71 , 72 along the transversal direction T. Each lid locking flap 75, as the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100, may be positioned between the respective first and second lid front sub-panel 73a, 73b forming the double-walled lid front 173. Thereby, a locking of the lid 170, as the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100, is facilitated.
The lid front panel 73 may comprise at least two opposing lid tongues 74 being positioned along two opposing transversally extending sides of the second lid front sub-panel 73b and extending away from the second lid front sub-panel 73b along the longitudinal direction L. The blank 1 may further comprise at least one lid locking recess 76 formed in the respective lid end wall panel 71, 72 or in a fold line between the respective lid end wall panel 71, 72 and the respective lid locking flap 75. The at least two opposing lid tongues 74 may be configured to be inserted into the respective lid recess 76 when the lid end wall panels 71 , 72 and lid front panel 73 being configured to be folded into the lid 170 and thereby lock the lid 170 in the erected state. Respective lid locking tongue 74 being configured to be removably insertable into respective lid locking recess 76 when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100. With the disclosed design, as the blank 1 has been erected to form the package 100, the package 100, and especially the lid 170 of the package 100, may be kept in place. This facilitates provision of a stable lid 170 when the blank 1 is erected to form the package 100. This facilitates provision of keeping the package 100, and especially the lid 170 of the package 100, in the erected state without the use of any adhesive or similar means, or at least with a minimum use of such adhesive or similar means.
The blank 1 may further comprise two front set of corner panels 60. Each front set of corner panels 60 may be located at a respective front corner of the bottom panel 10. Each front set of corner panels 60 may be interconnecting a respective end of the front wall panel 22 with a respective end of the respective end wall panel 31 , 32. Each front set of corner panels
60 may comprise an inclined fold line 61. The inclined fold line 61 may extend along a virtual line which extends diagonally away from the respective front corner of the bottom panel 10. Each front set of corner panels 60 may be foldable along the inclined fold line 61 relative to the front wall panel 22, to the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 and to each other about the inclined fold line
61 into triangular flaps 155. Each triangular flap 155, formed from the respective front set of corner panels, are folded into an interior of the package 100 and alongside the respective end wall panel 31, 32 as the blank 1 is erected into the package 100, as best illustrated in Figs 2A-E and 3. Each front set of corner panels 50 may be foldably connected to the front wall panel 21 along a respective fold line 57. The fold line 57 may be angled an angle b relative to a transversal direction T. Thereby, a longitudinal distance between the fold line 57 and a transversally extending center line of the front wall panel TCLF decreases with increasing transversal distance from the bottom panel 10. Preferably, the angle b is between 0-10 degrees.
The blank may further comprise two front locking flaps 65. Each front locking flap 65 may be foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels 60. Each front locking flap may extend away from the respective front set of corner panels 60. Preferably, each front locking flap 65 is foldably connected to the transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels 60 such that each front locking flap may extend away from the respective front set of corner panels 60 along the longitudinal direction L. Each front locking flap may extend longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel 31 , 32 and such that each front locking flap 65 may be positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel 41 , 42 forming the double-walled top wall 140. Each front locking flap 55 may be foldably connected to the respective front set of corner panels 50 along a respective fold line 56. The fold line 56 may be angled an angle a relative to a transversal direction T. Thereby, a longitudinal distance between the fold line 56 and a transversally extending center line TCLF of the front wall panel decreases with increasing transversal distance from the respective end wall panel 31, 32. Preferably, the angle a is between 0-10 degrees.
The blank 1 further comprises a front top wall panel 80. The front top wall panel 80 may be foldably connected to the front wall panel 22 along a longitudinally extending side LSFP of the front wall panel 22, opposite the bottom panel 10. The front top panel 80 may comprise two front locking tongues 85. The two front locking tongues 85 may extend transversally from the front top panel 80 and from a longitudinally extending side of the front top panel 80 being opposite the front wall panel 22. As best illustrated in Fig. 2D, each front locking tongue 85, as the blank 1 is erected into the package 100, extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel 80. Each front locking tongue 85 may be positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel 41, 42 forming the double-walled top wall 140.
The blank 1 is preferably made of paper-based material.
Additionally, variations to the disclosed embodiments can be understood and effected by the skilled person in practicing the claimed invention, from a study of the drawings, the disclosure, and the appended claims. In the claims, the word "comprising" does not exclude other elements or steps, and the indefinite article "a" or "an" does not exclude a plurality. The mere fact that certain measures are recited in mutually different dependent claims does not indicate that a combination of these measured cannot be used to advantage.
The person skilled in the art realize that the present invention by no means is limited to the preferred embodiments described above. On the contrary, many modifications and variations are possible within the scope of the appended claims.

1. A blank (1 ) configured to form a package (100), the blank (1 ) comprising: a bottom panel (10), a rear wall panel (21) being foldably connected to a first longitudinally extending side (LSBP1) of the bottom panel (10), a front wall panel (22) being foldably connected to a second longitudinally extending side (LSBP2) of the bottom panel (10), two opposing end wall panels (31, 32) being foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides (TSBP1 ,
TSBP2) of the bottom panel (10), two opposing sets of top wall panels (40) being foldably connected to a respective one of the two end wall panels (31 , 32) along transversally extending sides (TSEP1 , TSEP2) of the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), opposite the bottom panel (10), wherein each set of top wall panels (40) comprises a first top wall panel (41) and a second top wall panel (42) foldably connected to each other and arranged one after the other as seen along a longitudinal direction (L), wherein each set of top wall panels (40) is configured to form a double-walled top wall (140) when the blank (1) is erected to form the package (100), wherein the first top wall panel (41) is connected to the end wall panel (31 , 32) and is configured to form an upper surface of the double-walled top wall (140) and the second top wall panel (42) is connected to the first top wall panel (41 ) and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled top wall (140), two rear sets of corner panels (50), each rear set of corner panels (50) being located at a respective rear corner of the bottom panel (10) and interconnecting a respective end of the rear wall panel (21 ) with a respective end of the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), wherein each rear set of corner panels (50) comprising an inclined fold line (51) extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective rear corner of the bottom panel (10), wherein each rear set of corner panels (50) is foldable along the inclined fold line (51) relative to the rear wall panel (21), to the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and to each other about the inclined fold line (51 ) into triangular flaps (155) into an interior of the package (100) and alongside the respective end wall panel (31, 32) as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), two rear locking flaps (55), each rear locking flap (55) being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels (50) and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels (50) such that the rear locking flap (55), as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and such that each rear locking flap (55) is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel (41 , 42) forming the double-walled top wall (140), two front set of corner panels (60), each front set of corner panels (60) being located at a respective front corner of the bottom panel (10) and interconnecting a respective end of the front wall panel (22) with a respective end of the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), wherein each front set of corner panels (60) comprises an inclined fold line (61) extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective front corner of the bottom panel (10), wherein each front set of corner panels (60) is foldable along the inclined fold line (61) relative to the front wall panel (22), to the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and to each other about the inclined fold line (61 ) into triangular flaps (155) into an interior of the package (100) and alongside the respective end wall panel (31, 32) as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), two front locking flaps (65), each front locking flap (65) being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels (60) and extending away from the respective front set of corner panels (60) such that the front locking flap (65), as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and such that each front locking flap (65) is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel (41 , 42) forming the double-walled top wall (140). wherein the blank further comprises two front locking tongues (85) formed on the front wall panel (22) or formed on a front top wall panel (80) being foldably connected to the front wall panel (22) along a longitudinally extending side (LSFP) of the front wall panel (22), opposite the bottom panel (10), wherein the two front locking tongues (85) extends transversally from the front wall panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel (22) being opposite the bottom panel (10) such that each front locking tongue, as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends transversally inwardly from the front wall panel (22) or wherein the two front locking tongues (85) extends transversally from the front top panel (80) and from a longitudinally extending side of the front top panel (80) being opposite the front wall panel (22) such that each front locking tongue (85), as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel (80), and such that each front locking tongue (85) is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel (41 , 42) forming the double-walled top wall (140), wherein respective second top wall panel (42) comprises at least one locking tongue (45) being positioned along a transversally extending side of the respective second top wall panel (42), opposite the first top wall panel (41), and extending away from the second top wall panel (42) along the longitudinal direction (L), and wherein at least one locking recess (46) is formed in the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) or in a fold line (44) between the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and the respective first top wall panel (41 ), wherein the at least one locking tongue (45) on the respective second top wall panel (42) is/are configured to be inserted into the respective locking recess (46) when the first and second top wall panels (41 , 42) are folded to form the double-walled top wall (140) and thereby lock the double-walled top wall (140) in the erected state. 2. The blank (1) according to claim 1, wherein each rear locking flap (55) is foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels (50) along a respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels (50) and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels (50) along the longitudinal direction (L).
3. The blank (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, the blank (1) further comprises a lid panel (70) being foldably connected to the rear wall panel (21 ) along a longitudinally extending side (LSRP) of the rear wall panel (21), opposite the bottom panel (10), wherein the lid panel (70) is configured to, in an erected state of the blank (1 ), abut the respective first top wall panel (41) forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall (140). 4. The blank (1) according to claim 3, wherein the lid panel (70) is configured to, in the erected state of the blank (1 ), abut the respective first top wall panel (41) forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall (140), wherein the respective rear locking flap (55) and the lid panel (70) have overlapping projections in a plane parallel to the lid panel (70).

The blank (1 ) according to claim 3 or 4, wherein the blank (1 ) further comprises a lid front panel (73) being foldably connected to the lid panel (70) along a longitudinally extending side (LSLP) of the lid panel (70), opposite the rear wall panel (21), wherein the lid front panel (73) is configured to, in an erected state of the blank (1 ), abut an outside surface of the front wall panel (22).

The blank (1) according to claim 3-5, wherein the blank (1) further comprises two opposing lid end wall panels (71 , 72) being foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides (TSLP1 , TSLP2) of the lid panel (70), wherein the respective lid end wall panel (71 , 72) is configured to, in the erected state of the blank (1 ), abut an outside surface of the respective end wall panel (31 , 32).
7. The blank (1) according to claim 2-6, each rear locking flap (55) is foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels (50) along a respective fold line (56), the fold line (56) being angled an angle a relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line (56) and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel (TCLR) decreases with increasing transversal distance from the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), the angle a being about 2-7 degrees.
8. The blank (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each rear set of corner panels (50) is foldably connected to the rear wall panel (21) along respective a fold line (57), the fold line (57) being angled an angle b relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line (57) and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel (TCLR) decreases with increasing transversal distance from the bottom panel (10), the angle b being about 2-7 degrees.
9. The blank (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blank (1) further comprises a double fold line between the first top wall panel (41) and the second top wall panel (42), the double fold line comprising a first fold line (47) being positioned closest to the first top wall panel (41) and a second fold line (48), the first and second fold line (47, 48) defining an intermediate panel (49).
10. The blank (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blank (1) is made of paper-based material.
11. A package (100) formed from a blank (1) according to any one of claims 1-14, wherein the bottom panel (10) forms a bottom (110) of the package (100), the rear wall panel (21) is folded in relation to the first longitudinally extending side (LSBP1 ) of the bottom panel (10) such that the rear wall panel
(21) forms a rear wall (121) of the package (100), wherein the rear wall (121) preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel (10), the front wall panel (22) is folded in relation to the second longitudinally extending side (LSBP2) of the bottom panel (10) such that the front wall panel
(22) forms a front wall (122) of the package (100), wherein the front wall (122) preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel (10), wherein the rear wall (121) and the front wall (122) preferably extend along parallel planes, the two rear sets of corner panels (50) are folded along the inclined fold (51 ) line relative to the rear wall panel (21 ), to the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and to each other about the inclined fold line (51 ) into triangular flaps (155) into an interior of the package (100) and alongside the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), the two opposing end wall panels (31 , 32) are folded in relation to the two opposing transversally extending sides (TSBP1 , TSBP2) of the bottom panel (10) such that the end wall panels (31 , 32) form two opposing end walls (131, 132), wherein the respective end wall (131, 132) preferably forms a right angle to the bottom panel (10), wherein the respective rear set of corner panels (50) and the respective end wall (131 , 132) preferably extend along parallel planes, the two rear locking flaps (55) are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side, preferably the transversally extending side, of the respective rear set of corner panels (50) such that the respective rear locking flap (55) extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), the two front set of corner panels (60) are folded along the inclined fold line (61 ) relative to the front wall panel (22), to the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) and to each other about the inclined fold line (61 ) into triangular flaps (155) into an interior of the package (100) and alongside the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), the two front locking flaps (65) are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side, preferably the transversally extending side, of the respective front set of corner panels (60) such that the front locking flap (65) extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel (31 , 32), the two front locking tongues (85) or the optional front top wall panel (80) are/is folded relative to the front wall panel (22) such that the two front locking tongues (85) extends transversally inwardly from front wall panel (22) or extends transversally inwardly the front top panel (80), the respective first and second top wall panels (41 , 42) are folded relative to each other and relative to the respective end wall panel (31 , 32) to form the double-walled top wall (140), wherein the respective double-walled top wall (140) preferably forms a right angle to the respective end wall (131 , 132), with the respective rear locking flap (55), the respective front locking flap (65), and the respective front locking tongue (85) being inserted between the respective first and second top wall panel (41 , 42), and wherein the double-walled top wall (140) is locked in the erected state by the at least one locking tongue (45) on the respective second top wall panel (42) being inserted into the respective locking recess (46) when the first and second top wall panels (41 , 42) are folded to form the double-walled top wall (140).
