L'invention concerne un appareil de commande (5) pour disposer des articles pharmaceutiques (AF), comprenant : une chambre d'accueil (51), à l'intérieur de laquelle un article pharmaceutique (AF) peut être placé ; un capteur de poids (56), conçu pour déterminer un poids réel de l'article pharmaceutique (AF) ; un récepteur (52), conçu pour recevoir un signal de reconnaissance provenant d'un dispositif d'identification (3) intégré à l'article pharmaceutique (AF) ; un processeur (54), programmé pour : extraire dans une mémoire une valeur de poids prédéterminée, représentant une valeur de tare de l'article pharmaceutique, sur la base du signal de reconnaissance reçu ; comparer le poids réel de l'article pharmaceutique à la valeur de poids prédéterminée ; identifier, sur la base de la comparaison, si l'article pharmaceutique est épuisé.
