Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus. In particular, the present invention finds wide application in the field of kitchen furniture adapted to support appliances such as hoods for the extraction of the vapours generated when cooking food.
- Alternatively, the present invention finds use also in cases: under a sink in an island kitchen in which the discharges and loads come from the floor, or for the placement of waste disposals, or for the installation of other equipment not expressly mentioned herein.
- Currently the extraction hoods present on the market are differentiated into two main types: extracting hoods and filter hoods.
- The extracting hood is an appliance which is used to capture the vapours and odours produced by the food being cooked and convey them outside the house. Usually positioned above the hob, this type of hood extracts air thanks to the action of an electric fan placed therein. The extracted air, saturated with vapours and odours, passes through a system of grease filters which purifies it. Such filters can be made of different materials, such as aluminium and steel, which make them washable and reusable. After being filtered, the extracted air is conveyed outside the kitchen through a special pipe.
- Unlike the extracting hood, the filter hood does not need a pipe towards the outside. In fact, the filter hood collects, filters and purifies the air so as to retain the odours, fumes and greases which are released in the kitchen during the preparation of meals and returns clean air into the same environment. In practice, once purified of the most harmful substances, the air collected by the filter hood is returned to the same environment. For effective operation, the filter hood must comprise adequate ventilation systems, such as electric fans and ventilation holes, to allow a greater and more efficient air exchange.
- Generally, to make home furnishings more aesthetically homogeneous, such as in the kitchen, it is customary to recess household appliances inside furniture produced with the same style and material as the rest of the room. Therefore, hoods which can be recessed inside furniture have been developed, creating for example solutions such as induction hobs with integrated extraction hood.
- In accordance with such solutions, the hood has an opening located directly on the cooking hob through which it extracts the vapours generated thanks to an extraction device housed inside the piece of furniture.
- In particular, a vertical partition defines a technical volume inside the piece of furniture, between the kitchen wall and the vertical partition within which the extraction device is housed, and a containment volume, usable, for example, for the containment of supplies.
- Disadvantageously, the connection of the partition to the piece of furniture must be carried out by specialised personnel during the installation of the system.
- In particular, during the construction of the piece of furniture, special milling is carried out on the inner side walls of the piece of furniture so that they define shoulders adapted to receive the vertical partition in abutment. Such milling must be sufficiently far from the kitchen wall so as to ensure that the aforementioned technical volume has sufficient space to house the extraction device, a space which can no longer be modified during the assembly of the piece of furniture.
- Disadvantageously, the poor accessibility to the inner walls of the piece of furniture makes the milling and fixing operations particularly uncomfortable and long.
- Furthermore, the lack of freedom of movement very often leads to a poor quality of the final result.
- In fact, the milling is often not aligned, causing uncertainty in the positioning of the partition.
- Disadvantageously, moreover, the use of filter hoods necessitates the creation of aeration openings in the piece of furniture which allow the outflow of the previously filtered vapour towards the outside of the piece of furniture. Such openings, also made during assembly, are of poor aesthetic pleasantness and often lend themselves to the introduction of dust or dirt of various kinds.
- In this context, the technical task at the basis of the present invention is to propose an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus which overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art.
- In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus which allow to simplify the installation procedures of a built-in appliance, preferably an extraction hood, siphons, sink discharge loads or waste disposals.
- A further object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus capable of speeding up the installation procedures of a built-in appliance, preferably an extraction hood.
- A further object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus capable of increasing the quality and the aesthetics of the built-in appliance with respect to the prior art.
- The defined technical task and the specified aims are substantially achieved by an adjustable base for supporting a piece of furniture, a piece of furniture and a cooking fume extraction apparatus, comprising the technical features set forth in one or more of the appended claims.
- The dependent claims correspond to possible embodiments of the invention.
