Such procedure may be repeated, creating several different stages with several different rotation speeds and respective periods of time of duration.

Abstract
La présente invention se rapporte au domaine de traitement de roche, en particulier au traitement de roches telles que le calcaire, l'ardoise, le marbre, le granit ou la cyanite, en morceaux, pour fournir un lissage ou, finalement, un changement de forme de ces morceaux de roche par le polissage de ces morceaux de roche à l'intérieur d'un tambour rotatif. Une telle procédure peut conduire à des roches ayant un aspect de type poire. La présente invention comprend un tambour (1) et un appareil respectif pour le traitement de surface de morceaux de roche ou de mosaïque par rotation ayant une pluralité de plaques (3) disposées à l'intérieur du tambour (1), ayant une surface présentant une dureté d'au moins 300 Brinell et étant telles que ladite surface fait face à l'intérieur du tambour (1), les deux plaques (3) disposées de manière adjacente étant chacune espacées d'une distance prédéfinie (d) sur les côtés respectifs des plaques qui sont sensiblement alignées sur l'axe de rotation du tambour (1).
