Abstract

The invention relates to a textile article of clothing (1) equipped for ballistic protection, wherein the textile article of clothing (1) is made of a material mix of multiple yarns (3, 4) with different properties which are knitted together such that the material mix has a ballistic component and at least one additional component. At least 80 wt.% of the textile article of clothing (1) consists of the ballistic component, wherein at least one of the yarns (3) contains silk in order to form at least one part of the ballistic component such that at least 40 wt.% of the textile article of clothing (1) consists of silk.

Description

Textile clothing with ballistic protective equipment

The invention relates to a textile item of clothing with a ballistic protective equipment according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention also relates to an underwear system with a ballistic protective equipment according to claim 36.

A generic textile item of clothing is known from EP 3 408 607 B1.

The term "ballistic protective equipment" is to be understood in particular as personal protective equipment through clothing worn close to the body, whereby the wearer of the clothing item is to be protected from the effects of an explosion and the resulting splinters or their effects on the wearer are to be reduced.

Studies have shown that injuries to the abdomen, especially in the genital area, are increasing sharply among military personnel, but also among the civilian population in crisis areas, especially in regions where terrorist activities regularly occur. One of the reasons for this is that terrorists use unconventional explosive and incendiary devices, so-called lEDs. These are usually explosive devices positioned on the ground, which unfold their effect from the ground upwards. This creates primary splinters and secondary splinters, which in particular injure the abdomen. The explosion also accelerates particles of sand, dust, and dirt. Furthermore, a pressure wave and fire emanate from the explosive and incendiary devices.

Underwear with a ballistic finish is known from the prior art, for which reference is made to US Pat. No. 6,961,958 B1. The underwear, for example underpants, has pockets into which ballistic protection packages are inserted. The ballistic protection packages can, for example, be a ballistic material with the designation SPECTRAFLEX® from Allied Signal Company. It is also known from US Pat. No. 6,691,958 B1 to use aramid filaments or polyethylene filaments, for example Twaron™ and DYNEEMA®, to produce the protective packages that are to be inserted into the pockets.

The device known from US Pat. No. 6,961,958 B1 provides comparatively good protection against a frontal fire, but can only provide insufficient protection against explosions from the aforementioned unconventional explosive and incendiary devices positioned close to the ground. Furthermore, there is a risk that the protective packages placed in the pockets will shift unintentionally. In addition, the wearer of the underwear is hindered by the protective packages, for example if he has to lie on the floor or crawl around. Another disadvantage of known ballistic-equipped underpants is that their protective packages are only inadequately tailored to the areas in the abdomen that are actually particularly in need of protection.

From DE 10 2012 110 104 A1 underwear is known, the base of which is composed of a knitted fabric made of UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) that prevents the penetration of splinters and a further textile material that differs from this.

A UHMWPE yarn is known under the name DYNEEMA® and is manufactured by the Dutch company Royal DSM N.V. offered.

The different textile materials or the different zones that make up the underwear are sewn together. This invention was based on the consideration that the entire underwear does not have to be made of a uniform knitted fabric that prevents the penetration of splinters, but essentially only the areas that require special protection. Within the scope of this invention, it has therefore been assumed that it is sufficient to use the UHMWPE knitwear in a first zone of the base area, which requires special protection. Furthermore, the invention was based on the idea, in contrast to the prior art, as known from US Pat provide protection packages. In contrast to this, DE 10 2012 110 104 A1 discloses that the underwear is assembled by sewing several different textile materials together. This is intended to ensure that the underwear has a comparatively low basis weight and still has a good protective effect.

However, it has been shown that the protective effect of an underwear that is manufactured in accordance with the disclosure of DE 10 2012 110 104 A1 is still in need of improvement. One problem is that the aforementioned IED booby traps release their effects in three waves (pressure, fire, fragments). First, a pressure wave acts on the textile item of clothing, in particular the underwear. This inflates it and the seams with which the individual textile surfaces are sewn together can burst open. Although the surfaces intended to provide ballistic protection remain essentially intact, they are no longer necessarily in the intended locations, since all other surfaces may be destroyed and the seams in particular may be torn. If the second wave, due to the explosion, impacts the body with splinters and dirt, ballistic protection is no longer reliable. The splinters and dirt can thus penetrate into the body.

It has been shown that an overpressure is generated by the first wave, which literally inflates or inflates the textile item of clothing. Due to this pressure and the inflation, the protective clothing bursts open. Another significant disadvantage of the known textile items of clothing with ballistic protective equipment is that they are poorly suited for camouflage. UHMWPE is only available in white and black. Both colors are poorly suited for camouflage of the textile garment. As an alternative to UHMWPE, aramids cannot be colored in some cases and also have yellow spots, which is very unfavorable in terms of camouflage.

Another disadvantage of aramids is that they are not UV-resistant and therefore have to be shrink-wrapped in black foil and pushed into clothing as packages, which in turn is detrimental to camouflage. There is also clothing made from aramids. Although this is mostly worn as underwear, it is exposed to UV radiation during washing and drying. Furthermore, the mechanical stability of aramids is impaired by washing.

The textile item of clothing known from the generic document EP 3 408 607 B1 represents an improvement on the aforementioned prior art. It is provided that the textile item of clothing has a knitted construction or a knitted construction made of at least two yarns, the knitted construction or the knitted construction has ballistic components and refractory components. It is envisaged that the yarns will be knitted together and form the knitted construction or the warp-knitted construction. Because the yarns are knitted together, the knitted construction or the knitted construction can be produced in one piece and have the desired advantageous properties, according to EP 3 408 607 B1, ballistic protection and flame retardancy. In contrast to the prior art mentioned above, the document of the generic type therefore proposes not to protect individual areas or to form differently protected zones, but rather to produce a uniform knitted or warp-knitted construction. The yarns thus form a common knitted layer. According to EP 3 408 607 B1, knitting together can take place, for example, by providing each of the yarns used on one or more spools and then knitting the yarns together using a knitting program.

As a yarn for forming the ballistic portion of the knitted or knitted construction, the generic document discloses a yarn which has ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, in particular a UHMWPE yarn.

It has been shown that the item of clothing known from the generic document offers a high level of protection and at the same time improves wearing comfort.

For further prior art, reference is also made to EP 2 177 119 B1 and EP 3 175 199 B1 and EP 3 388 776 B1, which also disclose textile items of clothing with ballistic protective equipment. The present invention is based on the object of creating a textile item of clothing with ballistic protective equipment that further improves the prior art, in particular offers a high level of protection and is comfortable to wear.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1 .

This object is achieved for an underwear system by the features of claim 36.

The textile item of clothing according to the invention with a ballistic protective equipment is formed from a material mix of several yarns with different properties, which are knitted together, so that the material mix has a ballistic part and at least one other part. According to the invention, it is provided that the textile item of clothing consists of at least 80% by weight of the ballistic component, with at least one of the yarns containing silk to form at least part of the ballistic component, such that the textile item of clothing consists of at least 40% by weight. % consists of silk.

The solution according to the invention makes it possible to produce a textile piece of clothing with a ballistic protective finish as a single knitted piece. The yarns that are knitted together, which provide the ballistic part and the other part of the material mix, together form a knitted layer.

By forming the textile item of clothing from a uniform material mix of several yarns with different properties, a textile item of clothing can be produced which has an advantageous protective effect, in particular offers protection against splintering and is nevertheless comfortable to wear.

The inventor makes use of the knowledge that, for sufficient ballistic protection, it is not necessary to manufacture the textile item of clothing only from a high-strength material that protects against ballistic effects, but that it is possible to make the textile item of clothing through a suitable choice (at least ) of another yarn to give additional properties without jeopardizing the ballistic protection.

The inventor has also recognized that it is advantageous for forming at least part of the ballistic portion if at least one of the yarns contains silk, such that the textile item of clothing consists of at least 40% by weight silk. The inventor has recognized that silk is particularly advantageously suitable as a ballistic material, ie as a material which inhibits the penetration of splinters, ie offers splinter protection.

The silk not only offers ballistic protection, especially against splinters, but also has a pleasant feel and a cooling effect on the wearer. The material can absorb moisture absorb very well and advantageously transfers this to the overlying layers of clothing, especially if the textile item of clothing is underwear, which significantly improves the wearing comfort for the wearer. Because silk is selected to form the ballistic part of the material mix or to form at least part of the ballistic part of the material mix, it is also possible to reduce the weight and the clothing psychology of the textile item of clothing, in particular underwear, to the level of high quality Functional clothing, especially functional underwear, to raise. The formation of different zones in the textile item of clothing, for example zones with a ballistic effect or zones that transport sweat away, as is known from the prior art, can thus be dispensed with.

According to the invention, it can be provided that the textile item of clothing has a uniform base area, which consists of the material mix of the yarns knitted together. This can be a so-called knitted fabric that provides the base area, ie the entire area of the textile item of clothing. If necessary, the cuffs or the collar can also be produced in some other way, but the cuffs and the collar are preferably also produced from the material mix. It can also be provided that the cuffs and the collar have a composition that differs from the base area, so that they can advantageously fulfill their function. Furthermore, provision can also be made for another yarn to be used, for example for inscriptions or the like. However, this does not change the fact that (at least essentially) the textile item of clothing is formed from a material mix of several yarns with different properties, which are knitted together. The invention is to be understood accordingly.

An embodiment such that the textile item of clothing consists of at least 80% by weight of the ballistic material can be achieved by using one or more other ballistic materials, in particular high-strength yarns, in addition to silk. It is also possible that the proportion of silk in the material mix is appropriately increased.

It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing consists of at most 95% by weight, more preferably at most 90% by weight, of silk.

It is advantageous if at least one of the yarns contains silk in order to form the ballistic component, in such a way that the material mix consists of at least 80% by weight silk.

A yarn containing silk is preferably used in such a way that the textile item of clothing consists of 80% by weight silk.

A design such that the material mix consists of at least 80% by weight silk has proven to be particularly suitable. Preferably, the ballistic part of the material mix is only or provided solely by Silk. According to the invention, it can also be provided that the yarn consisting of silk is designed in such a way that it has a tenacity of 15 to 50 cN/tex, preferably 20 to 45 cN/tex, particularly preferably 24 to 40 cN/tex.

The aforementioned values have turned out to be particularly suitable for forming a textile item of clothing with suitable ballistic protection or suitable protection against splinters. It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing is designed in such a way that a Vso value against a 0.13 g (2.0 grain) FSP fragmentation projectile is >200 m/s, with the test preferably being based on STANAG 2920.

The yarn, called DYNEEMA®, is made by the Dutch company Royal DSM N.V. offered. An alternative to DYNEEMA® can also be a plastic filament with the name SPECTRA® from Honeywell International Inc.

The use of DYNEEMA® has proven to be particularly suitable for another yarn that is intended to provide ballistic protection, especially since DYNEEMA® has a high splinter protection effect and is also highly abrasion-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing consists of 3 to 18, preferably 4 to 16, more preferably 6 to 14, even more preferably 7 to 12, particularly preferably 8 to 10, in particular 9% by weight of polyamide (PA).

The aforementioned values, in particular the design of the textile item of clothing in such a way that it has 9% by weight of polyamide, has proven to be particularly suitable for the design of a textile item of clothing with a suitable ballistic protective effect.

It is advantageous if at least one of the yarns contains elastane (EL) or consists of elastane to form at least part of the further proportion of the material mix.

This allows the shape/fit to be further improved. It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing consists of 0.5 to 5, preferably 1 to 4, more preferably 1.5 to 3, in particular 2% by weight elastane (EL).

The proportion of elastane in the material mix, according to the aforementioned values, particularly when the textile item of clothing consists of 2% by weight elastane, has proven to be particularly suitable.

It can be advantageous if polyamide and elastane are formed together in one yarn. The textile item of clothing can thus preferably be produced from a yarn which contains or consists of silk and a yarn which contains polyamide and elastane or consists of polyamide and elastane. The two yarns can be knitted together to form the textile item of clothing according to the invention, for example by providing each of the two yarns on one or more bobbins and then knitting the yarns together using a knitting program, preferably on a circular knitting machine. Of course, provision can also be made for additional yarns to be knitted in, for example if another high-strength yarn is to be used in addition to silk or if yarns are to be used that give the textile item of clothing further properties, in particular one or more of the aforementioned properties, for example a flame retardant property.

Apart from the ballistic property, all other properties, for example the flame-retardant property, which the textile item of clothing should have, are summarized or subsumed under the term "additional proportion" of the material mix.

A yarn that has a flame-retardant property and can thus form a fireproof portion of the material mix can be made of viscose, for example, or contain viscose. In particular, it can be a modified or flame-retardant viscose. The flame retardant yarn may preferably be made from VISCONT®. VISCONT® is a filament yarn made from 100% viscose.

Alternatively, a yarn that is intended to provide a refractory portion of the material mix can also preferably be formed as a spun yarn made of several fiber components. The spun yarn can preferably consist of at least three fiber components, among which are preferably modacrylic, viscose and an antistatic fiber, preferably Belltron®.

The spun yarn can be designed as Protal®, for example. Protal® is a spun fiber yarn made from three fiber components (modacrylic, viscose, Belltron®), i.e. a mixed yarn. The distribution of the three fiber components and their proportion does not have to be uniform in the spun fiber yarn, but can be designed in a suitable manner.

Cell Solution® Protection is a natural cellulose fiber that contains the active ingredient permentrine for effective protection against insects. The depot structure of the fiber allows the permentrine to move from the inside of the fiber to the surface of the fiber with each wash. Alternatively, a similar product, in particular a product made from similar components, can also be used. Cell Solution® Protection can be purchased as a dope and mixed with a spun yarn, preferably Protal®. A suitable yarn can then be produced via a spinning process.

According to the invention, it can be provided that the item of clothing has cuffs that are preferably attached seamlessly.

In principle, the same material can be used to form the cuffs as is used to form the textile item of clothing, but it can also be provided that an additional yarn is used so that the cuffs become stronger. The additional yarn can also replace one of the other components.

Provision can be made according to the invention for care labels and/or other data to be incorporated into the at least one cuff using knitting technology.

Incorporating care labels and/or other data into the at least one cuff by means of knitting technology has proven to be advantageous in order not to stress the skin sensors. Furthermore, the data is then inextricably linked to the cuff.

It is advantageous if the care labels and/or other data are incorporated using a yarn containing polypropylene (PP).

It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing consists of 0.2 to 2% by weight, preferably 0.5 to 1.5% by weight, more preferably 0.8 to 1.2% by weight, in particular 1% by weight % Polypropylene (PP). It has been shown that the item of ballistic clothing, in particular if it is ballistic underwear or ballistic undergarments, fulfills the task particularly effectively if the item of clothing is designed in such a way that it can be worn close to the body or close to the body of the wearer. The pressure waves can therefore not penetrate under the textile item of clothing and thus cannot push the textile item of clothing away from the wearer's body and/or cause it to burst. It has been shown that items of clothing that are too wide pose the risk that the pressure wave - and thus the primary and secondary projectiles - can get under the textile item of clothing.

The body-hugging fit also has the advantage, especially in hot climates, that no additional layer of air insulation forms. The body-hugging fit also optimizes sweat transport.

If the textile item of clothing is underwear, for example a T-shirt or underpants, these are preferably designed in such a way that no additional underwear has to be worn. In terms of clothing psychology, the textile item of clothing according to the invention corresponds to that of good functional underwear.

According to the invention, it can be provided that at least one of the yarns that forms the other part of the material mix, in particular a yarn that consists of polyamide (PA) and elastane (EL), is knitted by plating in such a way that it forms the other part of the material mix Yarn is on the inside of the textile garment.

Plating means a process in which knitting is done on both sides, so that the textile garment can have yarns on the inside and on the outside that have different properties. The inventor has recognized that plating can be used advantageously in the item of clothing according to the invention so that it has a yarn on the inside which consists of polyamide and elastane, as a result of which the textile item of clothing is given a good shape/optimized fit.

By plating can be achieved that the two yarns, that is, the yarn containing silk or consists of silk, and the yarn containing polyamide and elastane or consists of polyamide and elastane together form a knitted layer, with a yarn one more on the inside, i.e. facing the wearer's body, and the other more on the outside, i.e. facing away from the wearer's body.

It is advantageous if the textile item of clothing consists of 86 to 90% by weight, in particular 88% by weight, of silk and/or 8 to 10% by weight, in particular 9% by weight, of silk Polyamide (PA) and/or consists of 0.5 to 1.5% by weight, in particular 2% by weight, of elastane (EL) and/or 0.5 to 1.5% by weight , In particular to 1 wt .-%, consists of polypropylene (PP).

A textile garment made of the above materials, especially if this consists of 88 wt .-% silk, 9 wt .-% polyamide, 2 wt .-% elastane and 1 wt .-% polypropylene has been found to be particularly suitable to fulfill the tasks set.

According to the invention it can be provided that the T-shirt is designed as a raglan shirt. Designing the T-shirt as a raglan shirt makes it possible to reduce the number of seams to improve wearing comfort.

It is advantageous if the seams of the T-shirt are designed in a flatlock design.

The formation of the seams in a flatlock design has proven to be advantageous in terms of skin sensors.

It is advantageous if a torso part of the T-shirt is made seamless.

The collar of the T-shirt can preferably be sewn on.

A seamless production of the torso part has turned out to be particularly suitable with regard to wearing comfort. Due to the fact that the torso part has no seams, the risk of the torso part being affected by a blast or bloated up by a pressure wave is also largely reduced.

It is advantageous if the weight of the T-shirt is 340 to 380 g/m ² .

With regard to the wearing comfort and the ballistic protective effect, the aforementioned values have proven to be particularly suitable. Depending on the size of the T-shirt, this can result in a weight per T-shirt of 180 to 300 g, for example 210 g for size M.

In one embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the textile item of clothing is designed as underpants.

Designing the textile item of clothing as underpants can be particularly suitable since, as already explained in the case of designing the textile item of clothing as a T-shirt, the advantages of the invention are particularly effective in this case.

It is advantageous if the underpants are seamless with the exception of a seam present in the area of the crotch, the seam in the area of the crotch being a flatlock seam.

Designing the underpants in such a way that they only have a production-related seam in the area of the crotch, which is preferably designed as a flatlock seam, has proven to be particularly suitable for offering suitable protection, in particular against the effects of a blast or a pressure wave. Furthermore, chafing points are avoided by the aforementioned construction even on long marches. Ergonomically optimized zones can be built into the underpants, which, in addition to the preferably used elastane, ensure optimal protection of the underpants in all types of movement.

In the case of an embodiment of the textile item of clothing as underpants, provision can be made for a gusset area to be sewn on between the legs of the wearer.

It is advantageous if the weight of the underpants is 300 to 330 g/m ² .

The aforementioned values have proven to be particularly suitable, so that the underwear on the one hand offers advantageous protection against the penetration of splinters and on the other hand the wearing comfort is not impaired.

The above values result in a weight per pair of underpants of 95 to 170 g, depending on the size. For example, size M weighs approx. 120 g.

According to the invention, it can be provided that the textile item of clothing is designed as headgear, headscarf, scarf, tubular scarf, balaclava, brassiere, sock, knee-high stocking, glove, inner glove or long-sleeved shirt.

It has been shown that the textile item of clothing according to the invention is also particularly advantageously suitable for forming the aforementioned items of clothing. In these cases, too, there is an advantageous combination of ballistic protection, a pleasant feel and a cooling effect on the wearer.

According to the invention, it can also be provided that the textile item of clothing is a torso part, with arm parts made of a woven material being sewn onto the torso part.

Forming the textile garment as a torso part is particularly suitable for producing a so-called combat shirt, which has a torso part and two arm parts. The torso part can be a knitted fabric, which is produced completely, preferably seamlessly, as described above. In connection with the arm parts, which are formed from a woven material, ie from a woven fabric, a particularly suitable design of a combat shirt results. The arm parts are preferably designed with long sleeves, but a short-sleeved design is also possible. The torso part can be designed to be worn directly on the body, which means that it is not necessary to wear underwear underneath. The torso part can fulfill the function of underwear.

The combat shirt preferably has a collar that is sewn onto the torso part. The collar may be formed from a woven material. It is advantageous if the arm parts are made of woven fabric with a camouflage print, preferably made of a light, flame-retardant twill and/or the torso part has no camouflage properties.

The arm portions may preferably be made from a lightweight flame retardant twill. The arm parts preferably have camouflage, in particular a camouflage print, preferably a three-color camouflage print. This can be implemented in a particularly simple manner with a woven material. Pockets, preferably for accommodating flexible elbow protectors, can be provided on the elbows of the arm parts. The arm parts can also have additional pockets, for example a pen pocket. The combat shirt can replace a combat jacket, especially at high temperatures, thanks to the design with the arm parts. Holistic protection for the upper body results when the combat shirt is worn together with a ballistic protective vest that covers the torso part, so camouflage for the torso part of the combat shirt can preferably be dispensed with, making it easier and cheaper to produce.

In principle, however, it is also possible for the torso part to also be camouflage by selecting a suitable color for the yarns, in particular the yarn that forms the other parts of the material mix. In the exemplary embodiment, the torso part is preferably designed as a seamless tube or is produced seamlessly from the yarns knitted together.

The present invention also relates to an underwear system with ballistic protective equipment, comprising a first textile item of clothing, which is designed as a T-shirt, and a second textile item of clothing, which is designed as underpants, the T-shirt and the underpants being designed in such a way that the t-shirt and panties, when worn correctly, overlap snugly.

It is advantageous if the underpants are made of a material mix in an area in which they overlap with the T-shirt when the underwear system is worn correctly, which is identical to the material mix from which the overlapping area of the T-shirt is made. Shirts is formed.

A design in which the underpants and the T-shirt overlap in the pelvic area of a wearer is advantageous.

The T-shirt and the underpants are preferably designed in such a way that they ensure reliable protection against blasts when they fit correctly. Preferably, the underpants and t-shirt overlap significantly.

Reliable protection against flames is also achieved, particularly in conjunction with fire-retardant combat clothing fitted over the clothing. The solution according to the invention offers the advantage of high ballistic holding power and fragment protection. The solution according to the invention is also resistant to blast protection and is very comfortable to wear even in hot climate zones. The solution according to the invention has a low insulation value to improve the body climate and very good interoperability with other protective elements, for example a protective vest and combat clothing.

The item of clothing according to the invention is preferably a knitted fabric, but it is also possible to produce a textile item of clothing with the claimed material mix as a knitted fabric.

It can be of particular advantage if the yarn or one of the yarns that forms the other part of the material mix has flame-retardant properties.

The production of textiles and the various processing methods for textiles are well known from the general state of the art, which is why only the specific features of the textile item of clothing 1 according to the invention are discussed in more detail below.

A flat knitting machine or a circular knitting machine can be used to produce the textile item of clothing 1 according to the invention. A circular knitting machine is particularly suitable for producing a T-shirt, underpants or a torso part.

All of the features of the exemplary embodiments presented below, in particular the features that are presented using the various embodiments of the textile item of clothing, can be combined with one another as desired. The features that are mentioned with regard to one embodiment can also be transferred to the other embodiments in order to produce further advantageous variants of the textile item of clothing according to the invention. Furthermore, the features of the embodiments that are not explicitly designated as essential to the invention can also be omitted.

The textile garment according to the invention can, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, for example as a T-shirt 1 or, as shown in Figures 3 to 4, as underpants 1 or, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, as a torso part 1 Combatshirts 2 trained.

However, the textile item of clothing 1 according to the invention can also be headgear, a headscarf, a tubular scarf, a balaclava, a sock, a knee-high stocking, a glove, an inner glove or a brassiere. The exemplary embodiment is not to be understood as being restricted to the exemplary embodiments illustrated in FIGS. The features mentioned in the context of the exemplary embodiments can also be implemented in the other aforementioned textile items of clothing. The textile item of clothing 1 has ballistic protective equipment according to the invention, that is to say the textile item of clothing 1 protects the wearer from the effects of an explosion and the splinters that occur as a result, or reduces their effects on the wearer.

The textile item of clothing 1 is preferably designed in such a way that it meets a Vso value against a 0.13 g (2.0 grain) FSP fragmentation projectile >200 m/s, with the test preferably being based on STANAG 2920.

The textile item of clothing 1 has a material mix of several yarns 3, 4 with different properties, which are knitted together, so that the material mix has a ballistic part and at least one other part.

According to the invention, it is provided that the material mix of the yarns 3, 4 knitted together consists of at least 80% by weight of the ballistic part. It can be provided that at least one of the yarns, yarn 3 in the exemplary embodiment, contains silk to form at least part of the ballistic portion, such that the textile item of clothing 1 consists of at least 40% by weight silk.

In the exemplary embodiment it is provided that the yarn 3 consists of silk.

Specifically, it is provided in the exemplary embodiment that the textile item of clothing 1 consists of at least 80% by weight silk in order to form the ballistic component.

In addition to the ballistic component of the material mix being provided by the silk yarn 3, another high-strength yarn, preferably an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), in particular DYNEEMA®, can also be provided to form the ballistic component. This means that in addition to the silk yarn 3, another yarn, preferably DYNEEMA®, is used.

Provision can also be made for two or more high-strength yarns to be used in addition to the silk yarn 3 in order to form the ballistic portion of the material mix.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the ballistic component of the material mix is provided exclusively or solely by the silk yarn 3 .

In the exemplary embodiment, the silk from which the yarn 3 is formed is an animal or natural silk (SE), in particular mulberry silk.

FIG. 7 shows a yarn 3 made of silk as an example. A particularly preferred structure of the yarn 3 is shown in FIG. The yarn 3 made of silk is preferably formed from a multi-twisted yarn or is a multi-twisted yarn 5. The multi-twisted yarn 5 consists of at least two rovings 6 twisted together, the rovings 6 each consisting of at least two threads 7 twisted together. The threads 7 are each formed from silk filaments twisted together. In the exemplary embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10, it is provided that the multi-step thread 5, which forms the yarn 3, is formed from two rovings 6 twisted together, the rovings 6 each consisting of six threads 7 twisted together. The threads 7 are, in a manner not shown, each formed from silk filaments twisted together.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is also preferably provided that the threads 7 are twisted together in a first direction of rotation S to form the rovings 6 and the rovings 6 are twisted together in a second, opposite direction of rotation Z to form the multi-step twisted yarn 5 or the yarn 3.

In the exemplary embodiment it is thus preferably provided that the threads 7 for forming the rovings 6 are twisted in one direction of rotation and the rovings 6 for forming the multi-step twisted yarn 5 are twisted together in an opposite direction of rotation. This results in a particularly high tear resistance or a particularly high fineness value and a suitable ballistic holding power, so that the penetration of splinters is avoided or their effects on the wearer of the textile item of clothing 1 are reduced.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the yarn 3 made of silk is designed in such a way that it has a tenacity of 15 to 50 cN/tex, preferably 20 to 45 cN/tex, particularly preferably 24 to 40 cN/tex.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that at least one of the yarns, yarn 4 in the exemplary embodiment, contains polyamide (PA) in order to form at least part of the further proportion of the material mix.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the textile item of clothing 1 consists of 3 to 18, preferably 4 to 16, more preferably 6 to 14, even more preferably 7 to 12, particularly preferably 8 to 10, particularly 9% by weight polyamide (PA). .

In the exemplary embodiment it is further provided that at least one of the yarns, in the exemplary embodiment the yarn 4, contains elastane (EL) to form at least part of the further proportion of the material mix.

In the embodiment it is provided that the textile garment 1 from 0.5 to 5, preferably

1 to 4, more preferably 1.5 to 3, in particular 2% by weight of elastane (EL). In the exemplary embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, it is preferably provided that the yarn 4, which provides the remaining part of the material mix, contains polyamide (PA) and elastane (EL). This means that in the exemplary embodiment, the further proportion of the material mix of the textile item of clothing 1 is provided by the yarn 4 with the aforementioned materials. In principle, however, it is also possible that the polyamide (PA) and the elastane (EL) are each provided by their own yarn. However, it has turned out to be advantageous to provide polyamide (PA) and elastane (EL) in one yarn 4 .

It can be provided in the exemplary embodiment that the material mix has further yarns with further different properties, which form the further proportion of the material mix, or that the yarn 4 contains further materials. In particular, it can be provided that yarns or materials with flame-retardant properties are used. For example yarns made from Viscont or spun yarns made from at least three fiber components, including modacrylic, viscose and Belltron®. Yarns which are brown and/or green and/or beige in color can also be used. Furthermore, yarns or materials can be used that have vector protection. The additional material or yarn can also be a material or yarn with antistatic properties. In particular, it can be advantageous to use a yarn that has flame-retardant properties and also vector protection.

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that yarn 4, which forms the other part of the material mix and which preferably consists of polyamide (PA) and elastane (EL), is knitted by plating in such a way that yarn 4, which forms the other part of the material mix, is attached to the Inside of the textile garment 1 is present. The yarn 4 is preferably a so-called plating yarn.

In the exemplary embodiment it can be provided that the textile item of clothing 1 has cuffs 8 . Such cuffs 8 are shown in various embodiments in Figures 1 to 6. In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the textile item of clothing 1 consists of 86 to 90% by weight, in particular 88% by weight, of silk and/or 8 to 10% by weight, in particular 9% by weight, consists of polyamide (PA) and/or 0.5 to 1.5% by weight, in particular 2% by weight, of elastane (EL) and/or 0.5 to 1.5% by weight %, in particular 1% by weight, consists of polypropylene (PP).

In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the textile item of clothing 1, as shown in Figures 1 to 6, i.e. in one embodiment as a torso part 1 of a combat shirt 2 (Figures 5 and 6), as a T-shirt 1 (Figures 1 and 2) or as underpants 1 (Figures 3 and 4) is designed in such a way that it can be worn close-fitting or close to the body.

In the exemplary embodiment, the textile item of clothing 1, ie the T-shirt 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the underpants 1 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 and the torso part according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is a knitted fabric.

FIGS. 1 and 2 show a particularly preferred design of the textile item of clothing 1 as an undershirt or as a T-shirt 1 . The T-shirt 1 is designed as a raglan shirt in the exemplary embodiment. In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that a torso part 10 of the textile item of clothing 1 designed as a T-shirt is produced seamlessly. In the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the arm parts 11 of the textile item of clothing 1 designed as a T-shirt are sewn on by means of seams 12, which in the exemplary embodiment are preferably designed in a flatlock design.

The torso part 10 and the arm parts 11 of the T-shirt 1 together represent the textile article of clothing according to the invention and are formed from an identical material mix from the yarns 3, 4 knitted together.

In the exemplary embodiment it is provided that the weight of the T-shirt 1 is preferably 340 to 380 g/m ² .

FIGS. 3 and 4 show a further advantageous embodiment of the textile item of clothing 1 according to the invention, which is designed as underpants 1 according to FIGS. The underpants 1 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 are preferably made without seams, with the exception of a seam 12 in the area of the crotch, with which a gusset, not specified, is sewn on. The seam 12 is preferably a flatlock seam.

In the exemplary embodiment it is provided that the weight of the underpants 1 is preferably 300 to 330 g/m ² .

A further advantageous embodiment of the textile item of clothing 1 is shown in FIGS. According to FIGS. 5 and 6, the textile item of clothing 1 is designed as a torso part 1 of a combat shirt 2 . The combat shirt 2 has arm parts 13 in addition to the textile item of clothing designed as a torso part 1 . The arm parts 13 are sewn to the torso part 1 via seams 20 . In the exemplary embodiment, the arm parts 13 are formed from a woven fabric, preferably with a camouflage print. The woven fabric is preferably a lightweight flame retardant twill. The torso part 1 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 preferably has no camouflaging properties.

The arm parts 13 of the combat shirt 2 can preferably have a three-color camouflage print. In the exemplary embodiment, pockets 14 for accommodating flexible elbow protectors (not shown) are preferably provided on the elbows of the arm parts 13 . The arm parts 13 can preferably also have a tab 15 with adhesive fasteners in the area of the arm ends, so that the width of the arm ends can be regulated. The arm parts 13 can—optionally—have a pen pocket 16 in the area of the front end of the left arm part 13 . In a way that is not shown in detail, a mosquito net can be provided in the area of the forearm of the arm parts 13 for ventilation, which mosquito net can preferably be opened and closed with a zipper.

Additional pockets 17 can optionally be provided as storage space in the area of the upper arms of the arm parts 13 . Furthermore, a loop tape can be provided to hold a rank insignia or, if necessary, to serve at the same time as a pen holder. In the exemplary embodiment, the collar 9 of the combat shirt 2 is preferably designed as a stand-up collar in which all opening options are preferably dispensed with in order to avoid pressure points. The collar 9 is preferably sewn onto the torso part 1 .

The torso part 1 of the combat shirt 2 can, as shown in the exemplary embodiment, replace an undershirt or a T-shirt and can be worn as the bottom layer on the body.

The exemplary embodiment also applies as a disclosure for an underwear system with ballistic protective equipment, which is composed of a first textile item of clothing, which is designed as a T-shirt 1 , and a second textile item of clothing, which is designed as underpants 1 . The T-shirt 1 and the underpants 1, for example such as those in Figures 1 and 2 and in 3 and 4 are designed such that when the T-shirt 1 and panties 1 are worn correctly, they overlap each other snugly in the region of the wearer's waist.

FIG. 9 shows the principle of a knitting process. A pair of underpants 1 is shown as an example, for example such as is shown in FIGS.
