Abstract

Devices of this type are known and widely used in the prior art. They are usually assembled in the goods manufacturer's factory and transported to the salesrooms as a handling unit. The handling unit typically includes a quarter pallet, i.e. a pallet with the dimensions (length x width) of a quarter of a Euro pallet.

The quarter pallet is usually made of plastic.

In the device of the prior art, there is a cardboard display base on the quarter pallet, on which a stack of cardboard trays is arranged. The cardboard trays are filled with the goods to be sold, e.g. B. filled with the chocolate Santa Clauses.

The handling unit can be strapped, e.g. B. in the form of tapes or straps or wrapped with foil. It is brought to the place of installation (point of sale) in the salesroom manually or with the aid of automatic conveying devices or forklifts or possibly also by pushed or rolled transport. The manufacturers of these different goods have switched to designing the cardboard trays and the cardboard bases with individual information ex works. In particular, information such as manufacturer brands, labels, advertising slogans, prices or other information relating to the goods to be sold can be attached to the cardboard trays.

The cardboard display base also has an information area, which can be designed uniformly with the design of the cardboard trays, for example. Corresponding information relating to the goods is also attached to the cardboard display base of the device of the prior art. These may be images of the goods or the packaging of the goods, or Manufacturer information, brands, prices, advertising information, information about the ingredients of the goods, etc. The dimensioning of the cardboard display base offers generously dimensioned information areas that manufacturers like to use, as they serve to highlight the goods in an eye-catching way.

Different heights of cardboard display bases are known in the devices of the prior art. The cardboard display base can have a height of 20 to 80 cm, for example. On the base then several, z. B. two to eight, cardboard trays with goods positioned in a stacked arrangement. Each of the cardboard trays can advantageously have an access opening for the goods, from which the goods can be conveniently removed.

A device of the prior art is usually assembled pre-assembled in the factory of the manufacturer of the goods: there, for example, a cardboard display base, several stacked cardboard trays arranged and filled with goods are arranged, and the entire unit, e.g. B. on a quarter pallet, tied together with the help of straps or shrink film, brought to the point of sale. The manufacturer of the goods, who provided the handling unit, does not obtain any information about when the goods actually reached the salesroom or when a sale of the goods begins. Between the time at which the handling unit assembled in the factory of the manufacturer of the goods leaves the factory and the time at which the device is sold in a supermarket or a begins to fulfill its function at another point of sale and makes the goods available for sale, there may be a completely indefinite period of several days, weeks or even months.

Based on the prior art device described at the outset, which cannot be documented in printed form and has become known through prior public use, the object of the invention is to further develop the known device for presenting goods and making them available for sale in such a way that improvements are achieved from an ecological point of view , and that it allows an optimized communication of information.

The invention solves this problem with the features of claim 1.

The principle of the invention is firstly to provide a multiple reusable base made of plastic instead of the cardboard display base used in the prior art.

The base has an installation surface on which the goods, in particular a tray or a plurality of trays, can be arranged.

The device according to the invention for the presentation and provision of goods comprises the special feature that at least one monitor is assigned to the base. The monitor is designed and configured to display information correlated to the goods.

This can be any information related to the goods.

Such information is, for example, information about prices of the goods, properties of the goods, sizes of the goods, possible uses or purposes of the goods, cooperating or complementary goods, advertising information, ingredients, hazard warnings, instructions for use, etc.

The monitor can be arranged on the base. In particular, it can be releasably fastened after the base. Alternatively, the monitor can also be arranged separately from the base, but can be arranged in its spatial vicinity, e.g. B. on a building wall or ceiling of a room, z. B. a commercial store, and in close proximity to the base, z. B. are within a few meters of the base.

The base can have one or more monitors. Alternatively, one or more monitors can be assigned to the base.

A controller may be associated with the monitor. This can be arranged on the monitor or arranged on the base or arranged remote from the base. Information about the type of goods and/or the identity of the goods can be recorded or obtained with the controller. This information can be related to other data. The controller is therefore able to recognize that specific goods or a specific type of goods are located on the placement area of the base. As a result of obtaining this knowledge or information, the controller can cause correlated information to be displayed on the monitor. This information is therefore related to the data collected or recognized.

In relation to the goods arranged on the base, information specific to these goods can thus be displayed explicitly.

For example, the current price of the goods can be displayed; this enables in particular flexible pricing and enables current prices to be displayed.

Warnings can also be given: for example, the goods displayed on the pedestal can include car accessories for the cold season, e.g. B. disc antifreeze, ice scraper, etc. Information about a weather change to be expected in the near future can be displayed on the monitor, so that end users or customers of a retail store in which the device is located can also be shown that due to the weather situation, a purchase may be possible of these goods is advisable.

According to the invention, the monitor can also be arranged on a mobile terminal device capable of communication. The trays advantageously have a tray information area on which information about the goods to be sold is arranged. In one exemplary embodiment of the invention, there is an arrangement area for a base information area on the base of the device according to the invention. The base information area also includes information about the goods. The base information area can be arranged, for example, on a cardboard frame or on one or more cardboard plates. The base information area itself can therefore in principle be designed identically or similarly to a base information area on a cardboard display base of the prior art. In contrast to the prior art, it is provided according to the invention that the base consists of plastic.

It should be noted that a cardboard display base in the device according to the invention z. B. is advisable when no monitor is arranged on the base, but when the monitor is far from the base.

However, the invention also encompasses a cardboard display base being arranged on the base and the monitor being detachably attached to the base only after the cardboard base has been attached. This is e.g. B. possible in such a way that the monitor arranged on the base after attachment completely or the cardboard base partially covered. Here z. Since the display base of the device of the prior art had to have sufficient stability for safe transport and for safe storage of the cardboard trays arranged on it, a considerable amount of cardboard was required for manufacturing the display base with the display base of the prior art.

The accumulation of this large amount of waste can be avoided by the device according to the invention. The device according to the invention shows a better ecological balance than the device of the prior art.

In addition, it was necessary in the prior art to transport the display base made of cardboard every time from the factory of the manufacturer of the product display, or from the place of assembly to the point of sale.

According to the invention, there is no need to transport the display base, since the base, which can be reused several times and is now made of plastic, can remain at the point of sale and can be equipped there alternately with different trays and with different base information surfaces.

In addition, according to the invention, different correlated information can be displayed on the monitor and depending on which goods are arranged on the base. The monitor can be used as many times as you like.

The device according to the invention therefore only requires significantly reduced transport capacities. This also improves the ecological balance of the device according to the invention compared to the device of the prior art.

The invention also includes when the device according to the invention with a plastic base and goods arranged in trays on it is made up by the goods manufacturer and transported to the point of sale together with the base.

The device according to the invention preferably comprises at least one tray. Advantageously, the device comprises a plurality of trays which are further advantageously arranged in a stacked arrangement on the base.

As a tray in the context of the present invention, a particular cardboard material, alternatively z. B. but also made of plastic, called existing element that can record and accommodate goods. The carrier of a tray identifier can also be a tag that contains an oscillating circuit and can experience excitation in an electromagnetic field, and as a result of an excitation emit a corresponding signal and in this way can transmit the tray identifier to an external reading device.

According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, it is further provided that a device is arranged on the base, which device has a base identifier. The socket can be identified with the socket identifier. The base identifier can be in the form of a barcode, alphanumeric code, QR code or in the form of another physical expression, e.g. B. in the form of an oscillating circuit, as a tag, as an NFC tag, RFID tag or the like. It is crucial that the socket identifier is arranged on the device so that it can be read.

According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the tray identifier and the socket identifier can be read out by a reading device, preferably by the same reading device.

It is particularly advantageous if both the tray identifier and the base identifier are designed to be optically readable, in particular camera-readable. This makes it possible to use conventional readers.

Provision is also advantageously made if the reading device is controlled by a conventional mobile terminal device, e.g. B. is provided by a cell phone z. B. also has a camera function. The previously described relating of base identifier and tray identifier is one way of obtaining information about the type of goods or the identity of the goods on the base. However, there are also other possibilities for initiating such a display of information on the monitor: as described above, this can also be done individually by the operating personnel in the sales outlet, for example.

The device according to the invention is used for the presentation and provision of goods for sale at a point of sale, in particular at a supermarket, a gas station or another point of sale.

The goods can be z. B. to action goods, but also to any other goods that can be kept ready in displays, e.g. B. also own brands or other conventional goods.

In particular, the device according to the invention has peripheral dimensions, namely a length and a width, which correspond to the dimensions of a quarter pallet. The device according to the invention comprises a reusable base, in particular made of plastic. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the base is made from a recycled plastic material, in particular from recycled PP or recycled HDPE (high density polyethylene).

The device according to the invention comprises in particular a support device, by means of which the base is held in a ground clearance position. The support device can, for. B. include four feet z.
