Abstract
Description
- La présente invention se rapporte à un alliage de platine. L'invention se rapporte également à un article, notamment à un article décoratif, et plus spécifiquement à un composant horloger, réalisé dans cet alliage.
- Il existe sur le marché plusieurs familles d'alliages à base de platine utilisées en horlogerie et bijouterie. Ces alliages ont la particularité d'être principalement utilisés par un titre internationalement reconnu de 95% poids, ce qui limite fortement la teneur des éléments d'addition. Les éléments d'addition vont donc répondre à une contrainte technique spécifique à l'élément. Les premiers éléments d'addition classiques sont le ruthénium, le cobalt, le cuivre, l'iridium. Les alliages de platine au ruthénium ont une utilisation universelle pour la bijouterie et l'horlogerie notamment pour les produits usinés. L'alliage de platine au ruthénium a pour caractéristique d'être l'alliage de platine le plus blanc sur le marché. Malheureusement, cet alliage est difficile à couler en raison de sa température de coulée élevée et de son intervalle de fusion relativement faible. De plus, cet alliage ne se prête que difficilement aux techniques d'usinage traditionnelles telles que le décolletage, le fraisage et le perçage.
- La présente invention a pour objet de pallier aux inconvénients précités en proposant un nouvel alliage de platine éclatant de blancheur, facile à couler tout en ayant une bonne aptitude à l'usinage.
- A cet effet, la présente invention se rapporte à un alliage de platine constitué en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 1.00 à 4.95% de Ru, de 0.05 à 2.00% de Ge, de 0 à 2.00% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale inférieure ou égale à 0.50%.
- De préférence, la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 2.00 et 4.95% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, elle est comprise entre 3.00 et 4.95% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 3.50 et 4.80% en poids.
- De préférence, la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, elle est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.00% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.07 et 0.70% en poids.
- De préférence, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 1.00% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 0.70% en poids.
- Le ruthénium amène un certain durcissement et la blancheur de l'alliage. L'ajout de germanium augmente significativement la dureté de l'alliage. De plus, l'ajout de germanium augmente l'usinabilité de l'alliage et permet d'augmenter l'intervalle de fusion tout en réduisant la température de coulée. L'ajout d'or a ce même effet bénéfique sur l'usinabilité et la coulabilité.
- Typiquement, l'alliage selon l'invention a un yellowness index Yi10° compris entre 7 et 8 et une dureté HV2 comprise entre 140 et 230.
- Avantageusement, l'alliage selon l'invention a une structure monophasée de type cubique à face centrée, exempte de précipitation d'intermétalliques tels que GePt3, GePt2, Ge2Pt3, GePt, Ge3Pt2, GeRu, qui réduiraient le durcissement par solution solide et pourraient générer des défauts lors des étapes de polissage (présence de points durs).
- La composition de cet alliage permet donc d'atteindre un excellent compromis entre dureté, usinabilité et coulabilité et ce sans impacter négativement sur la couleur blanche de l'alliage.
- La présente invention concerne également un article et en particulier un composant horloger réalisé dans cet alliage.
- L'alliage de la présente invention est un alliage de platine au titre de 95% en poids.
- Selon l'invention, l'alliage de platine est constitué en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 1.00 à 4.95% de Ru, de 0.05 à 2.00% de Ge, de 0 à 2.00% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%. L'alliage est constitué de ces différents éléments et impuretés, c.à.d. que l'ensemble du Pt, du Ru, du Ge, de l'Au et des impuretés éventuelles atteint le pourcentage de 100%.
- De préférence, la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 2.00 et 4.95% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, elle est comprise entre 3.00 et 4.95% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 3.50 et 4.80% en poids.
- De préférence, la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, elle est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.00% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.07 et 0.70% en poids.
- De préférence, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids. Plus préférentiellement, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 1.00% en poids. De manière particulièrement préférée, la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 0.70% en poids.
- Avantageusement, selon une première variante, l'alliage de platine est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 2.00 à 4.90% de Ru, de 0.05 à 1.50% de Ge, de 0.05 à 1.50% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Avantageusement, selon une deuxième variante, l'alliage de platine est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 3.00 à 4.85% de Ru, 0.05 et 1.00% de Ge, de 0.10 à 1.00% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Avantageusement, selon une troisième variante, l'alliage de platine est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 3.50 à 4.83% de Ru, 0.07 et 0.70% de Ge, de 0.10 à 0.70% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Les alliages de platine selon invention trouvent une application particulière pour la réalisation d'un composant horloger et plus spécifiquement d'un composant horloger d'habillage tel qu'une carrure, un fond, une lunette, un poussoir, une couronne, un maillon de bracelet, un fermoir de bracelet, un cadran, une aiguille et un index de cadran. De manière générale, cet alliage peut être utilisé pour tout article et plus spécifiquement tout article décoratif, par exemple, dans le domaine de la bijouterie ou de la joaillerie.
- L'alliage selon l'invention a une dureté HV2 comprise entre 140 et 230, et éventuellement entre 150 et 210 et un yellowness index Yi10° tel que défini ci-après compris entre 7 et 8.
- Avantageusement, l'alliage selon l'invention a une structure monophasée de type cubique à face centrée, exempte de précipitation d'intermétalliques tels que GePt3, GePt2, Ge2Pt3, GePt, Ge3Pt2, GeRu.
- Pour préparer l'alliage de platine selon l'invention, on procède de la façon suivante :
- Les principaux éléments entrant dans la composition de l'alliage ont une pureté entre 999 et 999.9 pour mille et sont désoxydés.
- On place les éléments de la composition de l'alliage dans un creuset que l'on chauffe jusqu'à fusion des éléments.
- Le chauffage est réalisé dans un four à induction étanche sous pression partielle d'argon
- L'alliage fondu est coulé dans une lingotière.
- Après solidification, on fait éventuellement subir au lingot une trempe à l'eau.
- Le lingot refroidi est ensuite laminé à froid puis recuit. Le taux d'écrouissage entre chaque recuit est de 40 à 80%.
- Chaque recuit dure 20 à 120 minutes et se fait entre 900°C et 1100°C sous une atmosphère réductrice composée de H2 pur ou d'un mélange de H2 et N2.
- Le refroidissement après les recuits se fait par une trempe à l'eau ou un refroidissement à l'air libre.
- Les valeurs colorimétriques et la dureté de différents alliages selon l'invention préparés avec le procédé décrit ci-dessus sont données dans le tableau 1 avec un exemple comparatif. La composition de l'exemple comparatif N°1 est dépourvue de germanium et comporte de l'or et du ruthénium. Les échantillons N°2 à N°11 comportent de l'or et du germanium tandis que les échantillons N°12 et N°13 ne comportent pas d'or. Les mesures ont été réalisées sur des échantillons recuits et polis.
- Les valeurs colorimétriques L*a*b* dans l'espace colorimétrique CIELAB (conforme aux normes CIE n°15, ISO 7724/1, DIN 5033 Teil 7, ASTM E-1164) ont été mesurées avec un spectrophotomètre KONICA MINOLTA CM-2600d avec un illuminant D65 et un angle d'observation de 10°. Le Yellowness index Yi10° qui est un indicateur de la blancheur de l'alliage a été calculé sur base des valeurs L*a*b* selon la norme ASTM E313. Plus cet index est bas, plus l'alliage est blanc.
- On observe une augmentation significative et quasi linéaire de la dureté avec l'ajout de germanium dans les alliages N°2 à N°13 tout en maintenant un yellowness index similaire qui est compris dans l'intervalle 7 à 8. Les alliages selon l'invention ont une dureté comprise entre 150 et 196 HV2 par rapport à 138 HV2 pour l'alliage de référence N°1 sans germanium. L'addition d'une faible teneur de germanium avec une teneur de 0.1% en poids dans les alliages N°5 et 7 a déjà un effet significatif avec une valeur de dureté atteignant 150 HV2. Avec une addition de 0.5% en poids de germanium, la dureté monte à 196 HV2. On observe que l'ajout de germanium a un effet significatif sur la dureté que l'alliage comporte ou non de l'or.
Claims (18)
- Alliage de platine constitué, en poids, des éléments suivants :- 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt,- 1.00 à 4.95% de Ru,- 0.05 à 2.00% de Ge,- 0 à 2.00% d'Au,- les impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Alliage de platine selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 2.00 et 4.95% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 3.00 et 4.95% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ru est comprise entre 3.50 et 4.80% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.00% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Ge est comprise entre 0.07 et 0.70% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.05 et 1.50% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 1.00% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la teneur en Au est comprise entre 0.10 et 0.70% en poids.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 2.00 à 4.90% de Ru, de 0.05 à 1.50% de Ge, de 0.05 à 1.50% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 3.00 à 4.85% de Ru, 0.05 et 1.00% de Ge, de 0.10 à 1.00% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué, en poids, de 95.00 à 96.00% de Pt, de 3.50 à 4.83% de Ru, 0.07 et 0.70% de Ge, de 0.10 à 0.70% d'Au et des impuretés éventuelles avec une teneur totale ≤ 0.50%.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé qu'il a une dureté HV2 comprise entre 140 et 230, de préférence entre 150 et 210 et un yellowness index Yi10° compris entre 7 et 8.
- Alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que sa structure est monophasée de type cubique à face centrée, exempte de précipitation d'intermétalliques tels que GePt3, GePt2, Ge2Pt3, GePt, Ge3Pt2, GeRu.
- Article réalisé dans l'alliage de platine selon l'une des revendications précédentes.
- Article selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce qu'il s'agit d'un article décoratif.
- Article selon la revendication 16 ou 17, caractérisé en ce qu'il s'agit d'un composant horloger choisi parmi le groupe comprenant une carrure, un fond, une lunette, un poussoir, une couronne, un maillon de bracelet, un fermoir de bracelet, un cadran, une aiguille et un index de cadran.
