Abstract

A shutter with adjustable slats is described characterized by the presence of a rotation system of the slats composed of chain link elements containing inside them, components for transmission of the motion equipped with sliding pins inside suitably shaped guides belonging to support elements of the slats.

Description

Description of the invention having title:
"ROLLING SHUTTER WITH ADJUSTABLE SLATS"
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the type of roller shutter with adjustable slats for regulating the light and air entering from windows and French door.
BACKGROUND ART
Roller shutters of the type installed sliding on lateral guides and rolling up with respect to a winding roller operated manually or by motorization are well known, in which the movement for the orientation of the slats takes place with a rotary movement of said slats, activated by a mechanical device, kinematically connected to the motion source, composed of chain link elements.
These solutions are descibed in multiple patents including patent filing no.PCT / EB2015 / 074131 in which a shutter of the type in question is described where the motion of the shutter and the rotary motion of the slats is guaranteed by three different types of components including a support for the slats, a chain link component equipped with a pin sliding in a guide belonging to the said support for the slats and a third component with metal rods connected to each other suitable to form a metal chain connected to the other components in such a way as to slide the supports of the slats which rotate thanks to the guide and pins sliding in it.
A second solution is described in the European patent EP3205809 which is very similar to the previous one patent, but whose rotary movement of the slats is guaranteed by rack elements kinematically connected to toothed wheels present on the supporting components of the slats, all activated by a special motorized wheel suitable to activate the kinematic chain.
Both of the said inventions have a first disadvantage deriving from the fact that to transmit the rotary motion to the slats they make use of systems with a number of components such as to compromise both the simplicity of production and the cost, due by the fact that for the solution described in the first cited patent, ten components are provided connected to the ends of the slats, of which six are different from each other, and the solution described in the second cited patent provides eight components for each slats.
Therefore the solutions described in said patents require different components depending on at wich end of the slats they are mounted.
This factor causes an increase in terms of production costs, especially in the case of molding of plastic materials.
A second disadvantage of the said inventions, is the excessive weight of the roller shutter: the first patent has a very heavy side metal chain that compromise the its cost of transport and also a difficult handling during installation. The same applies to the second patent cited, which provides for a series of particularly bulky gears for lifting the shutter.
The third disadvantage of the said inventions is the excessive size of the kinematic chain, which requires particularly bulky sliding guides in terms of space occupied inside the walls where the shutters are installed.
The purpose of the present invention is to introduce an improvement to the state of the art in order to eliminate said disadvantages DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
The invention, as specified in the claims, solves these disadvantages because the invention provides a new kinematic chain.
According to the invention, the kinematic chain consists, of a series of chain link elements, motion transmission elements, support element for the slats, and of activation components of the kinematic chain.

- Figure 13 is a right view of the shaped body of the support element of the slats according to the second embodiment;
- Figure 14 is a left view of the shaped body of the supporting element of the slats according to the second embodiment.
With reference to the drawings and according to a first possible embodiment, a roller shutter of the type with slats, is indicated with 1.
Said shutter 1 is equipped with slats 2, with a support element for the slats 3 equipped with a rotation pin 4 being said support element for the slats 3 composed of a shaped body 5 for interlocking coupling with the slats 2. The support element for the slats 3 is equipped with a rotation guide 6 in which slides a pin 7 belonging to the chain link elements 8, which allow the angular displacement of the support elements for the slats 3 and consequently the angular displacement of the slats 2.
The chain link elements 8 are connected to each other to form a continuous succession of chain link elements held in axis sliding inside two sliding guides 39.
The chain link element 8 is composed of a main body 9 inside which a motion transmission component 10 can slide, composed of an elongated body 11 having a through slot 12 crossed by the rotation pin 4 of the support for the slats 3.
The main body 9 of the chain link element 8 is provided, on both faces 13 and 14, parallel to the ends of the slats 2, with a through hole 17 suitable for housing the rotation pin 4 of the support element for the slats 3, which in this way can be positioned inside the through slot 12 of the motion transmission component 10 whose elongated body 11 is equipped in its upper part 18 with a thrust piston 19 suitable to press on the lower face 20 of the elongated body 11 of the motion transmission component 10 contained in the chain link element 8 connected at the top, thanks to the opening 22 located in the lower part 21 and to the through hole 45 placed in the upper part 44 of the main body 9 of the chain link element 8 which allow the passage of the thrust piston 19 of the elongated body 11 of the said motion transmission component 10.
The motion transmission component 10 is equipped on both faces 41 and 42, of the elongated body 11, parallel to the ends of the slats, with holes 15 and 16 suitable to contain the pin 7 facing towards the said support element for the slats 3, so as to allow said pin 7 to slide inside said rotation guide 6 of the support element for the slats 3, thanks to the presence of through slots 24 and 25, present on both faces 13 and 14, parallel at the ends of the slats 2, of the main body 9 of the said chain link element 8, which allow the pin 7 to slide up and down and to position itself in said rotation guide 6.
The said motion transmission component 10 is forced in the direction of the lower part 21, of the main body 9 of the said chain link element 8, by a spring 26 so that the blades 2 are in the closed position by means of the pin 7 which, being pushed downwards, is positioned in the lower part of the rotation guide 6 and forces the support element for the slats 3 to stay in the closed position together with the slats 2.
The kinematic chain composed of said chain link elements
8 has, as a first element, a motion activation component 27 consisting of a hollow body 28 in which a thrust element 29, whose elongated body 30 protrudes from the lower part 31 of said hollow body 28, is free to slide, and said thrust element 29 is equipped, in its upper part 32, with a piston 33 adapted to push the motion transmission components 10 located in the chain link elements 8 hooked above said activation element 27, thanks to the through hole 35 located in the upper part 34 of the hollow body 28 of the motion activation component 27 which allows the piston 33 to come into contact with the lower face 20 of the elongated body 11 of the motion transmission component 10 contained in the chain link element 8 connected above the motion activation component 27.
When the shutter is not completely lowered, all the motion transmission components 10 are subject to the elastic force of the spring and therefore all the slats are in the closed position.
When the shutter closes and the elongated body 30 of the thrust component 29 will be pushed onto the threshold 40, the piston 33 will push on the first motion transmission component 10 contained in the chain link element 8 connected above the activation element 27 and consequently the ascent motion will be transmitted in succession to all the other motion transmission elements located above, allowing the pegs 7 , in ascent, to position themselves in the upper part of the rotation guide 6 and therefore to rotate in opening the support elements for the slats 3 and consequently the same slats
2.
In this way, a new shutter with adjustable slats is created with simplified components and fewer than the state of the art.
A second possible embodiment provides a system equal to the first embodiment where the pin 4 is an indipendent element that can be assembled to the shaped body 5 of the support element for the slats 3, being said element for the slats 3 equipped with a housing 38 suitable to contain and grip the said rotation pin 4, which can be coupled by interlocking to the said housing 38 so as to be able to be turned in both directions with respect to the faces 36 and 37 of the shaped body 5, on both of which said rotation guides 6 are present
In this way, a new shutter with adjustable slats is created with components that allow savings in terms of production thanks to the possibility of producing identical components regardless of the direction of assembly and installation.
