Description

  • The subject of the invention is a mechanism opening the lid of a toilet seat - toilet bowl by means of its manual pressure against the toilet seat.
  • Commonly known toilet bowls are equipped with toilet seats covering them, consisting of a seat and a lid that covers it, which are pivotally connected so that only the lid itself or the lid with the seat can be lifted upwards. These design solutions generally use a single L-shaped hinge to connect the toilet seat to the toilet bowl.
  • Solutions known from the patent description of the invention no. US6009568 , are equipped with tiltable seats (toilets) and covers with a built-in damping device, and in this solution, the toilet seat hinge for the toilet bowl is realized as a spline connection between the anchoring element or member and the proper body of this hinge, as a result, these solutions are characterized by a complicated structure.
  • The hinge of a toilet lid (toilet bowl) is known from the German description of the utility model no. DE20202010511341U1 consisting of a sleeve equipped with a rotating shaft and two lower sleeve shoulders located at its ends, inside which, on both sides of it, there are two identical profile releasers with profile seats in one of their faces and profile offsets on their other outer ends, in these seats are mounted rectangular locks with round holes made in them, located opposite the holes made in these two seats and opposite both lower sleeve shoulders, while sleeve housings are mounted on these profile offsets of both releasers. On the other hand, in both sleeve offsets of sleeve with a shaft, identical profile latches are mounted, housing on their upper faces these cuboidal locks and the cylindrical pins of two round plate circular bases, the upper ends of which, are embedded through these latches and locks, in the openings of the sockets of both profile releasers.
  • A device for opening and closing a toilet seat covering a toilet bowl is also known from the French patent description of the invention, equipped with two foot pedals, an upper and a lower one attached to this bowl, activating a cord located partially in the upper surface of the toilet bowl and extending outside, entering the opening with the screw screwed into the toilet seat, which causes the cable to block. The toilet seat and its lid are covered with the rear ceramic base of this bowl, and the whole is rotated on a spindle.
  • An automatic toilet seat comprising a base body of a toilet bowl lid, a controller, a first lift of this lid, two sensors and a power supply and microprocessor-based controls is also known from the English patent specification no. US8640268B2 . In this solution, when the first sensor detects a human body, the microprocessor activates the second sensor and rotates the toilet bowl lid in the lifting position, while in the event that the first sensor detects the human body again, the toilet seat rotates to the lifting position. In turn, the human body is away from the second sensor, the microprocessor drives the toilet lid and turns the toilet seat closed and deactivates the second sensor. In this way, the automatic toilet seat provides a two-stage mechanism of its self-lifting lid, which significantly complicates the construction of this technical solution.
  • On the other hand, the hinge of a toilet seat for a toilet bowl with a built-in damping device, known from the Polish description filed under no. W. 124263 of the utility model, is characterized by the fact that it has a pin or pin radially protruding from the rim of the suspension body or the hinge of the toilet seat with a built-in damping device and disconnection of the mounted in the through-hole of the anchoring element in the ceramic toilet, the pin and the through-hole forming a resilient self-locking and self-locking releasable connection. The toilet seat of the toilet bowl includes both the seat and the lid, causing the seat to close or fall silently and the plunger to extend from the periphery of the containing body or the hinge of the toilet seat, for example to the right of the toilet bowl. Further, in order for the lid to snap (close) silently, the pin radially extends from the periphery of the suspension body or the lid hinge on the left side of the toilet bowl. The self-locking or self-blocking connection is achieved in such way that the pin of this hinge has a circumferential groove in its lower part, and the anchoring element in the area of the through hole has an upper fastening, and the lower pressing or locking elements equipped with teeth or with at least one ball and the anchor is provided with a cap.
  • The aim of the invention is to provide a new, compact structure of the toilet lid opening mechanism consisting of two identical subassemblies containing the same components, detachably connected with each other by a common connector.
  • The mechanism for opening the toilet seat lid by means of its manual pressure, according to the invention, is characterized by the fact that it consists of two identical components detachably connected to each other in one horizontal axis by means of a sleeve connector with a through-hole coaxial with a double-concave lens profile, to which both faces adjoin the faces of profile cylindrical connectors with circular seats made in the axis of their symmetry, equipped with sleeve elements with their inner faces plugged, having external coaxial cylindrical shoulders with unidirectional bearings mounted on them, and inside both these sleeve elements there are cylindrical elements, the outer faces of which have coaxial shoulders with a profile of biconcave lenses, embedded in the opening of the sleeve connector connecting both components, while the other ends of both profile cylindrical connectors have external extensions forming sleeve shoulders constituting ¾ of their circumferences, which their foreheads have further arcuate offsets, which constitute ½ of these sleeve circuits. On the other hand, in the axis of symmetry of these sleeve and arcuate offsets, and on the faces of the profile cylindrical connectors, there are successive cylindrical shoulders protruding outside these sleeve and arcuate shoulders with cylindrical drive springs mounted on them. One of the profile ends of the cylindrical drive springs are placed on the front part of the cylindrical shoulders and are connected to the curved shoulders by means of bolts with nuts screwed into the holes of these shoulders, while the sleeve-shaped connectors are mounted on the sleeve shoulders, profile cylindrical connectors, the other faces of which adjoin the other of the faces of these profile cylindrical connectors, and the other faces of them have arched grooves in which the front shoulders of the profile connectors are embedded adjacent with their only faces to the faces of the sleeve connectors, while on the outer ends of the cylindrical shoulders with springs mounted on them, located in both profile cylindrical connectors with their other ends bent at an angle, the sleeve elements are mounted, connected to the arcuate shoulders by means of screws screwed into the holes made in these shoulders, and these sleeve elements have lower shoulders with a section profile that are like ring part which are pressed with the faces of the outer profile connectors against the ends of the drive springs. Moreover, both ends of the cylindrical shoulders of the connectors are placed with the ball bearings mounted on them in the axial holes and in the openings of the outer profile connectors, so that both sleeve elements and their shoulders together with the drive spring pressed by them are placed inside the profile cylindrical connectors, and bent angularly the ends of both drive springs are embedded in the openings of both sides of the outer profile connectors, and below these openings in the fronts of these connectors there are other openings with one end of cylindrical pins embedded in them, equipped with clips with a ring sector profile and compression springs with angled ends they are embedded in the holes of both these catches.
  • Preferably, both profile cylindrical connectors of the components of the mechanism have lower outer perpendicularly situated plate-like shoulders with transversely disposed rectangular through mounting holes at their ends.
  • Preferably, both the outer profile connectors of the profile cylindrical connectors and the two inner profile connectors and the profile connector connecting them have three lamellar shoulders arranged perpendicularly to their common horizontal axis, which are located on the opposite side of the plate shoulders of the cylindrical connectors of this mechanism.
  • Preferably, the sleeve-like shoulders of the profile cylindrical connectors have outer surfaces crimped.
  • The use of the mechanism according to the invention facilitates the lifting of the toilet lid by people using toilets and provides increased hygiene, especially in public places, where it can be widely used due to its simple structure and the associated low production costs.

In turn, the central shoulder 4 through its through hole 5 of the sleeve connector 2 and both external shoulders 39 through their through holes 40 of sleeve elements 38 of the assembled mechanism 58 are fastened by means of bolts 60 with nuts 60' to the rear part of the inner surface of the lid 52 of the toilet seat 53, while both shoulders 28 through their through holes 29 of the sleeve elements 27 of this mechanism are fastened to the rear inner surface 62 of the toilet seat 53 by means of two bolts 61.
  • The method of opening of the lid 52 of the toilet seat 53 of the toilet bowl 54 with the use of the mechanism according to the invention consists in that the user by pressing the lid 52 releases the catches 47 mounted on the pins 46 with cylindrical compression springs 48, then the sleeve elements 34 rotate on the cylindrical pins 21 of the profile cylindrical connectors 6 and as a result of the operation of the cylindrical drive springs 22, the catches 47 engage one of the two grooves 37' of the shoulders 37, causing the lid 52 of the toilet seat 53 to open, while the cylindrical elements 15 with the coaxial shoulders 16 acting as a damper dampen the torque generated by the springs 22, as a result, the lid 52 of the toilet seat 53 slowly rises upwards. In turn, the closure of the lid 52 of the toilet seat 53 takes place by pressure on it by the user, as a result of which the rotation of the one-way bearings 14 housed in the cylindrical connectors 6 takes place.
