Definitions
- the invention relates to a centering unit for one of several rotatably interconnected sections of a door leaf, in which a door is integrated, the door leaf also consists of mutually rotatable sections.
- the sections of the door leaf and the door leaf consist essentially of two spaced metal sheets, the space between which is filled with an insulating material, the lateral vertical edges of the sections being closed with attachment closing elements.
- a door support and guide means for holding a door in the correct position. This is intended to facilitate the locking or unlocking of the door.
- a plate is used for this, which is provided with a rotatable bolt that interacts with another plate that is equipped with a slot. When the door is closed, the bolt is inserted into the slot so that the existing door is in a defined closed position.
- Sectional doors are vertically opening building closures, the rigid sections of which are rotatably connected to one another via hinges and are designed to stand on top of one another in the vertical position and can be moved in lateral guide arrangements.
- the individual sections essentially consist of two outer, distanced metal sheets, the space between which is filled with an insulating material. The lateral, outer ends of such sections are closed by closing elements. To a large extent To achieve a tight seal of such sections with one another, the individual sections are provided with a profiling on their upper side, with a complementary recess being located on the lower side of the sections.
- doors can be included in the door leaf. These doors with their door leaves are structured in the same way as the door leaves. In order not to block the operation of a door during the change of location in the lateral guide elements, it is necessary that the integrated door is securely in a proper locked position.
- the object of the invention is to provide a simple construction which grants a secure locking position of an integrated door leaf within a door leaf, the door leaf and the door leaf consisting of several rotatably interconnected sections. Furthermore, a water management system is to be provided which can be used effectively against water entering from the outside or condensation water formed in crevices.
- the intrinsically rigid sections of the door leaf are connected to one another with hinges, for example.
- Such a construction can, depending on the size of the door leaf, make the sectional door more unstable than a one-piece door leaf.
- This unstable circumstance is intensified by the fact that, for example, a door leaf is integrated into the door leaf, which is hinged or hinges are rotatably connected to the corresponding sections of the door leaf.
- a door leaf within the door leaf must not lead to the legal requirements, in particular wind load absorption, watertightness, airtightness, sound insulation and compliance with the required thermal resistance, being neglected.
- Sectional door leaves which consist of rotatably interconnected sections, such as panels, are sufficiently protected due to their construction in the hinges of the interconnected panels, e.g. if they are not completely protected against water entering from outside, noise, etc., e.g. from high wind pressures . Furthermore, condensation can occur between the door leaf and the door leaf, for example. In particular, heavy rainfall in connection with wind loads directed at the door leaf can lead to water ingress into the building area behind.
- Sectional door leaves that contain a door that can be opened in the closed position also represent an additional impairment for water entering from the outside. through which water can pass. If there has been water ingress, especially in the gaps between the door leaf and the door leaf, these must also be drained back outside the door leaf.
- the invention proposes a centering unit which at the same time fulfills the desired closure in the area of the profiling of the sections with one another and is also designed so that the door leaf within the door leaf can be easily transferred from its open position to its closed position.
- the centering units are each mounted on lateral attachment closing elements, which laterally close the individual sections, at the upper ends between the door leaf and the door leaf. This creates a secure and tight seal in the area of the profiling.
- This conclusion is to be understood in several respects, firstly in relation to a secure closed position of the door leaf in the door leaf, but also with a view to the desired sealing against water quantities penetrating from outside the door leaf or condensation water formed.
- openings or chambers are provided in the parts of the centering unit and in the attachment closing elements, which prevent water from remaining between the door leaf and the door leaf or from entering the building.
- centering aids are always attached at some point between the door leaf and the door leaf on the side closing elements, that is, not at the upper ends of the sections. Only the placement of the centering units between the upper edges of the door leaf sections and the gate leaf sections ensures a good and secure connection in the closed position between the door leaf and the gate leaf in this area of the goals with play.
- the inventive centering unit consists of a first and a second part. After assembly on the closing elements, these parts correspond to one another on the sections of the door leaf and at the same time also on the sections of the door leaf.
- the first and the second section were designed in such a way that the two sections interlock when the door leaf is in the closed position. This can be achieved, for example, in that in one of the sections there is a centering inlet running essentially horizontally or in an inclined position, the opening of which is directed towards the closing door leaf and is provided with bevels.
- a rotatable rolling element is arranged on a protruding, rigid shaft, which corresponds to the centering inlet of the first section for the secure closed position.
- the diameter of the rolling element is essentially matched to the opening width of the centering inlet so that, with sufficient play, a tilt-proof closed position of the door leaf can be assumed.
- the overall stability of the door leaf is significantly increased through the use of the centering units between the individual sections of the door leaf and the door leaf, so that the installation of the door leaf can no longer represent a point of danger.
- An advantage of the water management design according to the invention is the rapid drainage of water accumulations in the interior of the door leaf or the door leaf. For this it is necessary to provide a separate opening, which increases the insulating properties of the door and gate leaf. Therefore Drainage shafts are designed in the facing closing elements in such a way that they are aligned with drainage openings in the centering units in order to drain away any water inside.
- the structural design of the centering units with the large existing openings and shafts in the attachment closing elements means that blockages can be avoided, and the shafts can also be cleaned when installed using appropriate means.
- the openings or breakthroughs in the sections of the centering units are virtually connected to corresponding shafts in the attachment closure elements lying one above the other.
- the good closed position which is made possible by the centering unit between the door leaf and the door leaf, can safely discharge any water that occurs in the gaps to the outside. This makes it possible that effective drainage to the outside of the door and gate leaf can be carried out.
- the parts of the centering units can be manufactured inexpensively in a plastic version, but the rotatable roller and the associated axle are made of steel.
- torsion-resistant door leaves within sectional door leaves can be that concealed hinges are used between the door leaf and the door leaf. Such hinges or straps give the door leaf a secure hold because they have a precise structure compared to hinges that simply rest and have a large amount of play.
- Profiles 25 are each formed on the upper edge of the sections of the door leaf 12 and the sections of the door leaf 13. These profilings 25 ensure a tight seal between the sections in connection with complementary formations on the underside of the sections that interacts therewith.
- parts of a centering unit 1 are mounted on each side of the sections at the upper end of the elements.
- sections of the centering units 1 are also mounted on the secondary closing edge between the door leaf 12 and the door leaf 13.
- the upper sides of the centering units 1 are provided with projections 11 which are adapted to the formation of the profiling 25 of the sections.
- FIG. 1 A possible embodiment of the centering unit 1, consisting of the parts 2 and 3, is shown in a perspective view of Figure 2 reproduced.
- the direction of view of the centering unit 1 as shown in FIG Figure 2 has been shown from the inside of the gate and door leaf.
- the first section 2 and the second section 3 are each attached to the upper ends of the attachment closing elements 21, 22 in connection with fastening flanges 4 in which fastening bores 19 are contained.
- the first section 2 and the second section 3 have housings 5, 6 made of plastic.
- the housings 5, 6 can have openings 27, 29 starting from the upper projections 11. Through these openings 27, 29, effective drainage of water that occurs in the gaps between the door leaf 13 and the door leaf 12 can be carried out.
- This housing design makes it possible, on the one hand, to enable simple positioning and, on the other hand, to design the centering means in a cost-effective manner. Likewise, in particular the sound insulation and a quasi airtightness can be achieved in connection with seals (not shown).
- the assembly of the first section 2 at the upper ends of the attachment closure element 21 can, for example Figure 4 can be removed. It becomes clear that the projection 11 has essentially been adapted to the configuration of the profiling 25. An additional seal against heat loss can be achieved by a cover in front of the projection 11. At the same time, through such a cover when entering In the closed position of the door leaf 12, a stop damping can also be achieved.
- a centering inlet 20 has been shown as a recess, which can have an inclined or essentially horizontal course. At the entrance of the centering inlet 20 there are bevels which facilitate the immersion of a centering piece 18 which is rotatably mounted on the second part 3.
- a possible assembly of the second part 3 on the door leaf 12 is the Figure 5 again.
- the housing 6 has a cutout on the underside in order to achieve an exact match between the section and the attachment connection element 21, 22.
- An axis 24 is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner within the housing 6 of the second section 3. Such an embodiment can, for example, the Figure 9 can be removed.
- An axle receptacle 26 has two opposing surfaces on the inside, with which two flat areas 39 of the axle 24 together form an anti-twist device.
- a rolling element 23 is rotatably mounted on the axis 24.
- the rolling element 23 has a bore 43 in order to achieve lubrication between the rolling element 23 and the axle 24.
- a groove 40 can be made in the surface of the axle 24, via which the lubricant is permanently provided.
- the rolling element 23 Before the assembly of the axle 24, the rolling element 23 is to be plugged onto the axle 24 via its inner bore 42. Inside the rolling element 23, a shoulder 44 is incorporated at one end into which the thicker projection 41 of the rolling element 23 is embedded. Only now can the axle 24 of the rolling element 23 be pushed together into the axle receptacle 26. The axis 24 is secured by a fastening screw 10. So that the rolling element 23 also remains rotatable at all times, a shoulder 38 of the axle 24 is supported against a projection 46. The rolling element 23 is thus always freely rotatable. The interaction of the rolling elements 23 with the centering inlets 20 guarantees a secure closed position between the door leaf 12 and the door leaf 13 under all circumstances.
- a stop 8 is provided, directed towards the outside of the door leaf 13, in addition to which an undercut receptacle for a stop seal 14 is included.
- Figure 3 shows that Figure 3 , from which a receptacle for a sealing seal 15 on the second part 3 can also be removed.
- the section 3 has a cover stop 9 on the outside of the door leaf 12.
- a sealing gasket 16 has also been shown on the inside of the first section. Inside the door leaf 12 there is a lock, not shown, which can be operated by a door handle 17.
- the centering unit 1 provides two-way compensation, both a balance between the first sections of the door leaf 13 and the door leaf 12 and an overall balance between the door leaf 13 and the door leaf 12 of the door, so that smooth operation can be carried out.
- FIGS. 6 and 7 possible designs of the second part 3 of the centering unit 1 are shown in perspective representations.
- the rotatable rolling element 23 with the associated axis 24 is not shown, rather the axis receptacle 26 is only the Figures 6 and 7 which extends through the entire second section 3.
- the axle receptacle 26 is surrounded by a spacer 28, so that the axle 24 will not lead to a deformation of the portion 3 when it is fastened to the second part 3.
- the opening 27 is shown, which extends through the entire housing 6 of the second part 3, so that any water can easily run off here, despite the existing attachment of the rolling element 23.
- a sealing channel 30 is incorporated into the cover stop 8, into which a seal for the door leaf 12 can be drawn.
- the housing 6 of the second part 3 has a fastening bore 19 in the form of an elongated hole in its fastening flange 4. This makes it possible to place the second section 3 precisely at the end of one of the attachment closure elements 21 or 22.
- the Figure 8 the first section 2 of the centering unit 1 can be removed.
- the centering receptacle 20 has been shown, which has a flat inlet surface 32 which can have a substantially straight or inclined profile.
- a closure 33 which can have a slight depression opposite the inlet surface 32 in order to be able to assume a secure closed position in the door leaf 13 in the closed position of the door leaf 12.
- the housing 5 of the first section 2 also has an opening 29 penetrating in the longitudinal direction or an opening channel through which any water that is also present can run off.
- the fastening of the housing 5 is also fastened to one of the attachment closing elements 21 or 22 via the fastening flange 4 in connection with the fastening bore 19 designed as an elongated hole.
- the installation of the second section 3 in connection with the attachment closure element 21 is the Figure 10 again.
- the second section 3 has been placed on the end face of the attachment closure element 21.
- contour recesses 34 have been made on the attachment closure element 21 in order to be able to carry out the placement of the section 3 on the upper end face of the attachment closure element 21.
- the upper projection 11 of the second part 3 is virtually aligned with the profiling 25 of the upper part of the door leaf 13 in the longitudinal direction thereof.
- the attachment closure element 21 has a stop surface 35 against which the fastening flange 4 rests in order to be fastened in the attachment closing element 21 via the fastening bore 19 in connection with a bore 36.
- the closing element 21 with the contour recess 34 can in the upper end region of the Figure 11 can be removed. It can be seen that the contour cutouts 34 extend on both sides of a continuous shaft 37.
- the shaft 37 is essentially in line with the opening 27 or 29 of the centering unit 1. This ensures that existing accumulations of water can be diverted virtually invisibly downwards to the end of the door leaf.

Description
The invention relates to a centering unit for one of several rotatably interconnected sections of a door leaf, in which a door is integrated, the door leaf also consists of mutually rotatable sections. The sections of the door leaf and the door leaf consist essentially of two spaced metal sheets, the space between which is filled with an insulating material, the lateral vertical edges of the sections being closed with attachment closing elements.
Sectional doors are vertically opening building closures, the rigid sections of which are rotatably connected to one another via hinges and are designed to stand on top of one another in the vertical position and can be moved in lateral guide arrangements. The individual sections essentially consist of two outer, distanced metal sheets, the space between which is filled with an insulating material. The lateral, outer ends of such sections are closed by closing elements. To a large extent To achieve a tight seal of such sections with one another, the individual sections are provided with a profiling on their upper side, with a complementary recess being located on the lower side of the sections.
In order not to constantly open such gates for people or small vehicles to pass, doors can be included in the door leaf. These doors with their door leaves are structured in the same way as the door leaves. In order not to block the operation of a door during the change of location in the lateral guide elements, it is necessary that the integrated door is securely in a proper locked position.
The object of the invention is to provide a simple construction which grants a secure locking position of an integrated door leaf within a door leaf, the door leaf and the door leaf consisting of several rotatably interconnected sections. Furthermore, a water management system is to be provided which can be used effectively against water entering from the outside or condensation water formed in crevices.
The object of the invention is achieved by the features of
The intrinsically rigid sections of the door leaf, as they are designed in sectional door leaves, are connected to one another with hinges, for example. Such a construction can, depending on the size of the door leaf, make the sectional door more unstable than a one-piece door leaf. This unstable circumstance is intensified by the fact that, for example, a door leaf is integrated into the door leaf, which is hinged or hinges are rotatably connected to the corresponding sections of the door leaf. However, such a door leaf within the door leaf must not lead to the legal requirements, in particular wind load absorption, watertightness, airtightness, sound insulation and compliance with the required thermal resistance, being neglected. For these aforementioned features, it is of particular importance that no heat exchange from the inside to the outside, or vice versa, takes place to an increased extent between the sections in the closed position. Furthermore, due to the hinge design between the sections, in connection with lateral guide rollers and guide rails, there is a great deal of play with all-round freedom of movement for the door leaf. The individual sections of the door leaf are inherently very rigid and do not cause any problems. When integrating the door leaf within the door leaf, it is important to achieve a correct closed position of the door leaf, because if the door leaf is not in the correct closed position in the door leaf, a change in location is not possible overall. This would significantly disrupt the entire operation of the sectional door.
Sectional door leaves, which consist of rotatably interconnected sections, such as panels, are sufficiently protected due to their construction in the hinges of the interconnected panels, e.g. if they are not completely protected against water entering from outside, noise, etc., e.g. from high wind pressures . Furthermore, condensation can occur between the door leaf and the door leaf, for example. In particular, heavy rainfall in connection with wind loads directed at the door leaf can lead to water ingress into the building area behind.
Sectional door leaves that contain a door that can be opened in the closed position also represent an additional impairment for water entering from the outside. through which water can pass. If there has been water ingress, especially in the gaps between the door leaf and the door leaf, these must also be drained back outside the door leaf.
The invention proposes a centering unit which at the same time fulfills the desired closure in the area of the profiling of the sections with one another and is also designed so that the door leaf within the door leaf can be easily transferred from its open position to its closed position. For this purpose, the centering units are each mounted on lateral attachment closing elements, which laterally close the individual sections, at the upper ends between the door leaf and the door leaf. This creates a secure and tight seal in the area of the profiling. This conclusion is to be understood in several respects, firstly in relation to a secure closed position of the door leaf in the door leaf, but also with a view to the desired sealing against water quantities penetrating from outside the door leaf or condensation water formed. For this purpose, openings or chambers are provided in the parts of the centering unit and in the attachment closing elements, which prevent water from remaining between the door leaf and the door leaf or from entering the building.
Furthermore, the closing process is made much easier by the inventive centering units. In the prior art, centering aids are always attached at some point between the door leaf and the door leaf on the side closing elements, that is, not at the upper ends of the sections. Only the placement of the centering units between the upper edges of the door leaf sections and the gate leaf sections ensures a good and secure connection in the closed position between the door leaf and the gate leaf in this area of the goals with play.
The inventive centering unit consists of a first and a second part. After assembly on the closing elements, these parts correspond to one another on the sections of the door leaf and at the same time also on the sections of the door leaf. The first and the second section were designed in such a way that the two sections interlock when the door leaf is in the closed position. This can be achieved, for example, in that in one of the sections there is a centering inlet running essentially horizontally or in an inclined position, the opening of which is directed towards the closing door leaf and is provided with bevels. In the second section, a rotatable rolling element is arranged on a protruding, rigid shaft, which corresponds to the centering inlet of the first section for the secure closed position. The diameter of the rolling element is essentially matched to the opening width of the centering inlet so that, with sufficient play, a tilt-proof closed position of the door leaf can be assumed. The overall stability of the door leaf is significantly increased through the use of the centering units between the individual sections of the door leaf and the door leaf, so that the installation of the door leaf can no longer represent a point of danger.
With the improvement of water management in sections, there is also a reduction in air exchange rates in the relevant buildings. For this reason, for example, drainage of condensation water between the door leaf and the gate leaf via drainage devices is essential. Of course, the drainage must be carried out in such a way that the water to be discharged is diverted in the direction of the outside of the door leaf or the door leaf. An advantage of the water management design according to the invention is the rapid drainage of water accumulations in the interior of the door leaf or the door leaf. For this it is necessary to provide a separate opening, which increases the insulating properties of the door and gate leaf. Therefore Drainage shafts are designed in the facing closing elements in such a way that they are aligned with drainage openings in the centering units in order to drain away any water inside. The structural design of the centering units with the large existing openings and shafts in the attachment closing elements means that blockages can be avoided, and the shafts can also be cleaned when installed using appropriate means.
So that an effective water management with successful water drainage can be carried out, the openings or breakthroughs in the sections of the centering units are virtually connected to corresponding shafts in the attachment closure elements lying one above the other. The good closed position, which is made possible by the centering unit between the door leaf and the door leaf, can safely discharge any water that occurs in the gaps to the outside. This makes it possible that effective drainage to the outside of the door and gate leaf can be carried out.
The parts of the centering units can be manufactured inexpensively in a plastic version, but the rotatable roller and the associated axle are made of steel.
Another possibility for the implementation of torsion-resistant door leaves within sectional door leaves can be that concealed hinges are used between the door leaf and the door leaf. Such hinges or straps give the door leaf a secure hold because they have a precise structure compared to hinges that simply rest and have a large amount of play.
