Description

  • The present invention relates to a kit and a method for the realisation of doors or windows and a door or window.
  • Door or window is intended as a structure that allows closing the openings left in buildings for use as an entrance or to allow the passage of air and light. The doors or windows comprise a frame which is mounted on the opening of the wall of the building and at least one closing panel reversibly movable with respect to the frame to allow or prohibit the passage through the aforementioned opening.
  • Generally, the panels for doors or windows are equipped with mechanical catch locks in which a lock body housed in a housing hole of the panel comprises a latch and/or a dead bolt actuated by suitable movement means and adapted to couple with a respective mechanical armature.
  • Doors or windows of more recent design have magnetic induction closure devices that stabilise the closing position of the door or window thanks to the magnetic interaction between a magnetic induction catch and a respective armature.
  • The magnetic induction closure devices have much more contained dimensions with respect to the previously described lock bodies. Disadvantageously, this dimensional incompatibility makes it difficult or even impossible to realise a door or window that can indifferently use one or the other solution or replace a classic mechanical catch lock with one of the recent magnetic induction closure devices. Often, the conversion of a door or window designed for a mechanical catch lock into a door or window with a magnetic induction catch even makes the replacement of the panel of the same door or window necessary.
  • The aforesaid dimensional diversity also obligates laborious milling of the panel in the case of conversion of a door or window with a magnetic induction catch lock into a door or window with a mechanical catch lock.
  • Some examples of closure devices are disclosed in EP2910713 , DE29922528 , DE202004013563 and WO2015/189391 .

  • In accordance with a different possible embodiment still shown in figure 2, the second connection interface 12 comprises a second fixing block 12b adapted to be fitted in the second housing hole 7. The first fixing block 6b and the second fixing block 12b have a shape and dimensions such as to allow the insertion and fixing thereof in the second housing hole 7 itself and preferably have substantially identical shape and dimensions.
  • In addition to the above, and with particular reference to figures 1 to 3, the door or window can comprise at least one gripping element selectable between a fixed knob 20, a handle or a bar 21. The gripping element has a shape and dimensions adapted to cover one or more lateral holes arranged at a front surface of the panel 2. In fact, the panel can have one or more holes for the actuation handle of a mechanical lock (if present) and/or for one or more closing points.
  • The door or window described above is obtainable by means of a method for the realisation of doors or windows which entails providing a door or window comprising a panel 2 and a frame 1 and realising the first housing hole 5 on the edge surface 2a, preferably in a central position, and the second housing hole 7 on the edge surface 1a, preferably in a central position.
  • Furthermore, a closure device is selected between two corresponding closure devices of the kit comprising the magnetic induction closure device 3 and mechanical catch lock 10, choosing which one to use as a function of need. If the magnetic induction closure device 3 is chosen, proceed by inserting the magnetic induction catch 3a in the first housing hole 5 and by fixing the first connection plate 4 at the first housing hole 5. Furthermore, the magnetic induction armature 3b is inserted in the second housing hole 7 by fixing the first connection interface 6 at the second housing hole 7. Alternatively, if the mechanical catch lock 10 is chosen, proceed by inserting the lock body 10a in the first housing hole 5 and fixing the second connection plate 11 at the first housing hole 5. Furthermore, the mechanical armature 10b is inserted in the second housing hole 7 by fixing the second connection interface 12 at the second housing hole 7.
  • Where the door or window is arranged with the mechanical catch lock 10 and the door or window is to be modified by replacing the mechanical catch lock 10 of the kit with the magnetic induction closure device 3 of the kit, it will be necessary to remove the second connection plate 11 and insert the magnetic induction catch 3a in the first housing hole 5 by fixing the respective first connection plate 4. It will also be necessary to remove the second connection interface 12 and insert the magnetic armature 3b in the second housing hole 7 by fixing the first connection interface 6.
  • With reference to figure 1, the panel 2 only has the first housing hole 5 with standard dimensions with reference to the dimensions of the lock body 10b. To complete the replacement, if necessary, a gripping element can be used, selectable between a fixed knob 20, a handle or a bar 21 positioned anywhere relative to the panel 2. Alternatively it is possible to carry out a processing directly on the panel to realise a gripping region.
  • With reference to figures 5 to 7, the steps of the replacement of a mechanical catch lock 10 of the kit with a magnetic induction closure device 3 of the kit are shown.
  • With reference to figure 3, the panel 2 has both the first housing hole 5 and a lateral through hole 30 for the handle of the mechanical catch lock 10. In this case, therefore, to complete the replacement proceed to cover the lateral through hole 30 by means of a gripping element, for example the fixed knob 20.
  • With reference to figure 4, the panel 2 has both the first housing hole 5 and two lateral through holes 30 respectively for the handle of the mechanical catch lock 10 and for a mechanical closing point. In this case, therefore, to complete the replacement proceed to cover the lateral through holes 30 by means of a gripping element, for example the bar 21.
  • Where the door or window is arranged with the magnetic induction closure device 3 and the door or window is to be modified by replacing the magnetic induction closure device 3 of the kit with the mechanical catch lock 10 of the kit, it will be necessary to remove the first connection plate 4 and insert the lock body 10a in the first housing hole 5 by fixing the respective second connection plate 11. It will also be necessary to remove the first connection interface 6 and insert the mechanical armature 10b in the second housing hole 7 by fixing the second connection interface 12.
  • It may be necessary to realise one or more lateral holes 30 arranged at the front surface of the panel to receive a gripping element selectable between a fixed knob 20, a handle or a bar 21.
  • Figure 8 instead shows the same situation with reference to the prior art in the case of doors or windows in wood. The area indicated with A1 represents an example of drilling for housing a magnetic induction closure device of known type. The area indicated with A2 represents an example of additional milling that needed to be realised in the panel to house the mechanical catch lock replacing the magnetic induction closure device of known type.
  • The present invention allows obtaining the proposed objects, ensuring interchangeability between a mechanical catch lock and a magnetic induction closure device while maintaining the usual aesthetic characteristics thanks to the fact that the exposed parts coincide dimensionally.
