Description

ADAPTER FOR DELIVERY OF LIQUID PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FROM BOTTLE TO THE LOADING DEVICE OF THE INHALATION DEVICE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present disclosure relates to the field of medicine, more particularly to such medical devices for the inhalation, as devices for delivering drugs to inhalation devices.
BACKGROUND ART
Inhalation is one of the methods of introducing drugs into the body, which is carried out with the use of such special inhalation devices as dispensers of drugs.
Since inhalation devices are widely used in medical institutions, certain requirements for asepsis of devices are imposed on them. One measure of asepsis is the presence of such elements as loading devices in the inhalation devices. Loading devices allow you to provide the necessary level of asepsis while loading drugs into the inhalation device, and to simplify the process of loading of the drug into the inhalation device.
The vast majority of drugs used for inhalation, have such a physical condition as a liquid, that is, they are liquid pharmaceutical compositions. Such medicines are packaged in bottles. In order to deliver the drug from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device, the necessary intermediate devices are adapters, by means of which the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle will go to the loading device of the inhalation device.
A known adapter for delivering a liquid pharmaceutical composition from a bottle to the loading device of an inhalation device (see description of the US patent for invention US 8534328 B2, publ. 17/09/2013), which includes a housing that has a pipe shaped spout. In addition, according to one of the embodiments, the adapter may include a seal, which is located on the outer surface of the spout. This adapter is permanently connected to the body of the bottle in which the liquid pharmaceutical composition is located, and in fact it is actually part of the bottle— that is, the bottle is manufactured with this adapter from the beginning. Delivery of the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device is carried out by inserting a spout into the loading device of the inhalation device.
The disadvantages of the known adapter for delivering a liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device are:
- a bottle with a known adapter can only be used to load the liquid pharmaceutical composition into the inhalation device - if it is necessary to pour the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle into another container or take a portion of the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle, for example, with a syringe, it is inconvenient to do;
- the lack of fixation of the adapter in the port of the inhalation device - this may lead to the possibility of unwanted and unplanned disconnection of the adapter from the loading device of the inhalation device in case of careless movement of the person, and following pouring and loss of the liquid pharmaceutical composition, and in case of underloading of the liquid pharmaceutical composition to the loading device, it may be necessary to use a new bottle with a liquid pharmaceutical composition;
- in the case of a planned disengagement of the adapter from the loading device of the inhalation device, it is possible to pour out the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle;
- the lack of protection of the spout of the known adapter from contact with the environment reduces the level of asepsis of the device.
SUMMARY
The objective technical problem is to create, by changing the design of the device, a more advanced adapter for delivering a liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device, which, when used, is fixed at the loading device of the inhalation device, enhancing the aseptic of the device; and expanding the arsenal and range of adapters for delivering liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device.
The problem is solved by an adapter for delivering a liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device, which includes a housing, a valve, a spring, a sleeve, a lid with a first opening ring, and a gasket, the housing having two parts such as a cylindrical part in the shape of a hollow cylinder with one end wall, and has a spout, which is made tube-shaped and which is connected to the end wall; on the inner surface of the cylindrical part of the housing, a thread is made to connect the housing with a bottle, on the inner surface of the cylindrical part of the housing a number of locking projections are made in the form of plates for fixing the housing on the bottle and preventing the housing from unscrewing from the bottle, the gasket is located closely to the inner surface of the end wall of the cylindrical part of the housing, on the inner surface of the spout there is an circular projection, in the channel of the spout are located valve, spring and sleeve, which are located coaxially with the axis of the spout so that one end of the spring rests against the sleeve and the second end of the spring rests in the valve, herewith the valve is pressed to the surface of the circular projection on the inner surface of the spout so that it closes the channel of the spout, on the outer surface of the spout there is a thread for connecting the lid with the first opening ring with the spout, and the lid with the first opening ring are worn on the spout, on the outer surface of the spout is made the first circular row of projections and the second circular row of projections, by means of which the housing is connected to the loading device of the inhalation device and fixed at the loading device.
According to one of the embodiments of the present disclosure, at one end of the valve can be made a disc, while the valve is located so that the surface of the disk is pressed against the surface of the circular projection on the inner surface of the spout.
According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the first circular row of projections can be performed with three projections, the second circular row of projections can be performed with three projections.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
An adapter for delivering a liquid pharmaceutical composition from the bottle to the loading device of the inhalation device (hereinafter referred to as an adapter for abbreviation purposes) is shown in the drawings as position (1 ).
The adapter according to the present disclosure is characterized by the fact that it includes a housing (2), a valve (3), a spring (4), a sleeve (5), a lid (6) with a first opening ring (7), and a gasket (8).
The housing (2) is made having two parts such as a cylindrical part (9) in the form of a hollow cylinder with one end wall (10), and a pipe-shaped spout (1 1 ), which is connected to the end wall (10) (see Fig. 2). A thread (12) is made on the inner surface of the cylindrical part (9) - with the help of thread (12) the housing (2) is connected with a bottle (18) having corresponding thread.
Next to the thread (12) on the inner surface of the cylindrical part (9) there is a row of locking projections (13) in the form of plates. When screwing the housing (2) on the bottle (18) (see Fig. 3), the locking projections (13) abut on the corresponding projections (19) made on the bottle (18) - this leads to fixing the housing (2) on the bottle (18) and prevents unscrewing the housing (2) from the bottle (18).
The gasket (8) is ring-shaped and located closely to the inner surface of the end wall (10) of the housing (2) (see Fig. 2). When screwing the housing (2) onto the bottle (18), the end surface of the bottle (18) abuts against the gasket (8) - this ensures the tightness of the connection between the housing (2) and the bottle (18).
On the inner surface of the spout (11 ) there is a circular projection (14) (see Fig. 2). The spout channel (1 1 ) has a valve (3), a spring (4) and a sleeve (5) - they are located coaxially with the axis of the spout (11 ) so that one end of the spring (4) abuts against the sleeve (5), the second end of the spring (4) rests against the valve (3). The valve (3) is pressed against the surface of the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ) so that the valve (3) blocks the channel of the spout (1 1 ) and the passage of the liquid pharmaceutical composition through the opening of the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ). The valve (3) prevents the liquid pharmaceutical composition from being poured from the bottle in case of a planned disconnection of the adapter from the loading device of the inhalation device.
According to one of the embodiments of the present disclosure, the valve (3) can be designed such that at one end of the valve (3) a disk (20) can be made (see Fig. 2) - while the valve (3) is positioned so that the surface of the disc (20) is pressed against the surface of the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ).
A thread (15) is made on the outer surface of the spout (1 1 ) to connect the lid (6) with the spout (1 1 ). The lid (6) is made with a ring of the first opening (7). The first opening ring (7) is part of the lid (6), and prevents the lid (6) from unplanned unscrewing from the spout (11 ). If the lid (6) is unscrewed from the spout (11 ), the first opening ring (7) is separated from the lid (6) \ The lid (6) with the first opening ring (7) is located on the spout (1 1 ) so that they are put on the spout (1 1 ) - thus the lid (6) covers the external surface of the spout (11 ), protects the spout (11 ) from contact with the environment, which ensures the proper level of adapter asepsis.
On the outer surface of the spout (1 1 ), the first circular row of projections (16) and the second circular row of projections (17) are also made (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 5), with which the housing (2) is connected to the loading device of the inhalation device and fixed at the loading device of the inhalation device. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first circular row of projections (16) can be performed with three projections, the second circular row of protrusions (17) can be performed with three projections. For specialists it is obvious that the adapter according to the present disclosure may contain a different number of projections (16) and projections (17). The adapter is used as follows. The housing (2) is screwed onto the bottle (18) until the end surface of the bottle (18) rests against the gasket (8). In this case, the locking projections (13) will rest against the corresponding projections (19) on the bottle (18), which will lead to the fixation of the housing (2) on the bottle (18). After that, the lid (6), which is worn on the spout (1 1 ), is unscrewed, and it is removed from the spout (1 1 ) - while the first opening ring (7) is separated from the lid (6) and remains on the spout (1 1 ).
The loading device of the inhalation device is made so that it includes a receiving sleeve (21 ) and a stem (22), which is located in the receiving sleeve (21 ) coaxially with it (see Fig. 6). The receiving sleeve (21 ) can be made in two different versions (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 5). In the first embodiment of the receiving sleeve (21 ) (see Fig. 4), the longitudinal axes of the receiving sleeve (21 ) of the slot (23) are made in the wall of the receiving sleeve (21 ). The adapter with the attached bottle is inserted with the spout (1 1 ) into the receiving sleeve (21 ) so that the slots (23) undergo projections (16) and projections (17), while pressing down the adapter to the loading device with their hands. In this case, the adapter is connected with the bottle attached to the loading device of the inhalation device, and the valve (3) interacts with the stem (22).
According to the second embodiment of the receiving sleeve (21 ) (see Fig. 5), the spiral axes of the receiving sleeve (21 ) of the slot (24) are made in the wall of the receiving sleeve (21 ). The adapter with the attached bottle is inserted with the spout (1 1 ) into the receiving sleeve (21 ) so that the slots (24) undergo projections (16), and the adapter is rotated until the end wall of the receiving sleeve (21 ) rests against the surface of the projections (17)— in this case, the adapter is connected and fixed with the attached bottle at the loading device of the inhalation device, and the valve (3) interacts with the stem (22).
To connect the adapter with the loading device of the inhalation device, the adapter with the attached bottle is inserted into the loading device of the inhalation device so that the spout (1 1 ) enters the receiving sleeve (21 ) (see Fig. 6), while using projections (16) and projections (17) the housing (2) is connected or fixed in the receiving sleeve (21 ). Also, the stem (22) presses the valve (3), it departs from the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ), and the liquid pharmaceutical composition passes through the opening of the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ), the liquid pharmaceutical composition is poured from the bottle into the loading device of the inhalation device. When the adapter is disconnected from the attached bottle from the loading device of the inhalation device, the valve (3) is pressed against the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ), thus interrupting the passage of the liquid pharmaceutical composition through the opening of the circular projection (14) on the inner surface of the spout (1 1 ), and the liquid pharmaceutical composition does not overflow.
The technical result, which is achieved by the present disclosure:
- the presence of two circular rows of projections on the outer surface of the spout ensures the fixation of the adapter in the loading device of the inhalation device when the adapter is connected to the loading device of the inhalation device;
- the presence of the first opening ring on the spout of the lid, which covers the external surface of the spout, protects the spout from contact with the environment, which ensures the proper level of adapter asepsis;
- the presence of a valve prevents the liquid pharmaceutical composition from pouring out of the bottle in case of a planned separation of the adapter from the loading device of the inhalation device;
- the presence on the inner cylindrical surface of the housing threads and a number of locking projections in the form of plates allows you to connect the adapter with the bottle, and fix the adapter on the bottle so that it prevents unscrewing the adapter from the bottle.
The given examples of the present disclosure only illustrate the present, but do not limit it.
