- Another object of the invention is to provide a new portable hairdressing device whose air flow design is optimized to promote maximum drying performance.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing device whose design makes it possible to limit the untimely effects of dynamic imbalance.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing appliance which allows extremely fast drying time under particularly comfortable conditions of use.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing appliance of particularly simple and compact construction.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing appliance that is particularly robust and reliable.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing device that is particularly simple and intuitive to use.
- Another object of the invention aims to provide a new portable hairdressing device that is particularly safe to use.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 in accordance with the invention is designed to be gripped and manipulated by hand. It is therefore a portable, manual hairdressing device, preferably intended for use in a domestic setting by a user without particular professional hairdressing skills.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 is designed so that the user uses the appliance 1 on himself, that is to say on his own hair.
- the device 1 it is perfectly possible for the device 1 to be designed for use by the user on the hair of a third party, without departing from the scope of the invention.
- the hairdressing device 1 forms a hair dryer (or hair dryer), which allows a user to dry his wet or damp hair by blowing in the direction of the hair d a flow of forced air, hot or cool, and to facilitate styling of the hair.
- the invention is however not limited to this specific embodiment and it is for example entirely possible that the hairdressing device 1 forms, for example, a blowing hairbrush, or any other portable hairdressing device equipped with a function involving the blowing of a flow of air on the user's hair, and which could be more specifically used for styling purposes, for example in direct contact with the hair (brushing, straightening, etc.).
- the following description will nevertheless be essentially centered on a hairdressing device 1 of the hair dryer type as illustrated in the figures.
- the hairdressing device 1 comprises a handle 2 (or handle) by which the device 1 is intended to be held manually in order to be used.
- the handle 2 thus forms a manual gripping member, intended to be grasped by the user to handle the hairdressing appliance 1.
- the handle 2 is elongated, that is to say it extends mainly along a single direction of space, corresponding to the longitudinal direction. In other words, the handle 2 has a slender, slender shape, so that it can be grasped with the whole hand by an adult user.
- the handle 2 extends longitudinally between a first end 2A and a second end 2B along an average direction of longitudinal extension X-X'.
- the distance separating said first and second ends 2A, 2B, corresponding to the length of said handle 2 is sufficient to allow all the fingers of one hand of a user to close on handle 2.
- the handle 2 is advantageously formed in one piece, or an assembly of parts. It is for example of generally tubular shape (with for example a circular or elliptical middle section, constant or not), and is shaped and sized to ensure a good grip by the user, in particular a " full hand " grip c' is to say by the palm and the fingers of the hand.
- the hairdressing device 1 also comprises a blower head 3 designed to generate a flow of (forced) air intended to perform a hair-drying function.
- the blowing head 3 extends the handle 2 from the first end 2A and is provided with an air outlet 4 through which an air flow is intended to be blown outwards in an average blowing direction Y -Y', so that it can be projected in the direction of the user's hair, in order to dry it.
- the blowing head 3 is preferably fixed relative to the handle 2, and is preferably integral with said handle 2 permanently, said handle 2 and blowing head 3 thus being advantageously inseparable.
- the air outlet 4 has an opening of substantially circular general shape, as illustrated in the figures, and is for example provided with a protective grid.
- the air outlet 4 has a disc-shaped blowing section.
- the invention is however not limited to a particular geometric conformation of the air outlet 4, which may have any suitable shape, for example an oblong shape, a slot shape, etc.
- the air outlet 4 is removably attached to the blowing head 3 (for example by snap-fastening, screwing, force fitting, bayonet locking, etc.).
- the blower head 3 it is advantageous and preferred for the blower head 3 to form with the air outlet 4 a one-piece assembly, which is not intended to be disassembled by the user, which facilitates the use of the hairdressing appliance 1 and prevents the user from misplacing accessories.
- the mean direction of longitudinal extension XX' of the handle 2 is advantageously substantially perpendicular to the mean direction of blowing Y-Y'.
- the invention is however not limited to this specific embodiment, which proves to be particularly practical for the user and makes it possible to confer a compact nature on the hairdressing device 1.
- said mean directions of longitudinal extension X-X' and blowing Y-Y' can be inclined with respect to each other, so that the angle between said mean directions of longitudinal extension X-X' and blowing Y-Y' either greater or less than 90°.
- the angle between said mean directions of longitudinal extension X-X' and blowing Y-Y' is advantageously between 80° and 100°, preferably between 85° and 95°.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 also comprises a motorized ventilation module 5 for generating said flow of air intended to be blown outwards by the blowing head 3.
- the motorized ventilation module 5 extends the handle 2 to from the second end 2B, so that the handle 2 is interposed between the motorized ventilation module 5 on the one hand and the blower head 3 on the other hand, between which it extends longitudinally.
- Said moto-ventilation module 5 can itself be extended by an electrical power cord 14, provided at its free end with an electrical connection plug.
- the motorized ventilation module 5 of the hairdressing device 1 is therefore remote from the blower head 3 and the handle 2.
- the motorized ventilation module 5 advantageously makes it possible to better balance the weight of the hairdressing device 1, by a distribution of the masses on either side of the handle 2, which contributes to the comfort of use of the device 1 for the user. Indeed, the masses are thus distributed on either side of his hand, which in particular facilitates his movements when he wishes to carry out hairdressing operations (brushing, etc. ).
- the motorized ventilation module 5 includes a ventilation wheel 6 rotatably mounted along an axis of rotation Z-Z'.
- the motor-driven ventilation module 5 also advantageously comprises a casing 7 within which the ventilation wheel 6 is housed.
- the ventilation wheel 6 advantageously includes a series of vanes arranged at the periphery of the wheel 6, so that of the ventilation wheel 6 along the axis of rotation ZZ' causes the creation of an air flow thanks to said blades of the wheel 6. 2.
- the module of motorized ventilation 5 includes an electric motor connected to the ventilation wheel 6 to drive the latter in rotation along the axis of rotation Z-Z'.
- the electric motor is advantageously arranged adjacent to the fan wheel 6, and is provided with an external rotor which rotates a motor shaft 10 connected, directly or via a transmission device, to the wheel. ventilation wheel 6.
- the rotor of the electric motor rotates along a motor axis parallel to or coinciding with the axis of rotation ZZ' of the ventilation wheel 6. This preferential configuration allows a particularly compact, robust and reliable construction, favoring a drive directly from the fan wheel 6 by the electric motor, the motor shaft 10 of which is advantageously directly attached to a hub of the fan wheel 6.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 also comprises an electric heating element 8 for heating said flow of air generated by the motor-driven ventilation module 5 and blown outwards through the air outlet 4.
- the electric heating element 8 may be constituted by any suitable means of electric heating, based on any technology making it possible to transform electrical energy into thermal energy.
- the electric heating element 8 implements Joule effect heating, it being understood that the invention is not limited to a particular heating technology, provided that the heating element 8 is integrated into the hairstyle 1 and electrically powered.
- the electric heating element 8 has for example a power greater than 500 W, and even more preferably a power at least equal to 1000 W, and preferably at least equal to 1500 W.
- the heating element electrical 8 comprises at least one electric heating resistor formed of a winding of metal conductor son (for example nichrome) around an insulating core (for example mica), which has for example a cruciform section.
- the electric heating element 8 is permanently embedded within the blowing head 3, upstream of said air outlet 4 with respect to the air flow, so as to be able to thus heating the air flow before it escapes out of the blower head 3 through the air outlet 4.
- the electric heating element 8 is permanently incorporated in the head blower 3 and is not intended to be separated from the latter.
- the axis of rotation Z-Z' on the one hand is inscribed in a first plane P1 substantially perpendicular to the average direction of blowing Y-Y', and on the other hand is also inscribed in a second plane P2 substantially perpendicular to the mean direction of longitudinal extension X-X'.
- the axis of rotation Z-Z' of the fan wheel 6 is substantially perpendicular to a third plane P3 in which both the average direction of blowing Y-Y' and the average direction of longitudinal extension fall.
- X-X' the first, second and third planes P1, P2, P3 are orthogonal to each other.
- first and second planes P1, P2 are for example not mutually orthogonal, in the eventual case where the average direction of longitudinal extension X-X' is not perpendicular to the average direction of blowing Y-Y' (case where the handle 2 is for example inclined forwards or backwards with respect to the direction of exit of the air flow through the air outlet 4).
- any undesirable gyroscopic effects are minimized, if not eliminated, which leads to increased comfort of use, in particular when the user performs drying of the " brushing ”.
- the user when performing a " brushing " type styling, the user generally performs repeated rocking movements of the wrist to sweep each lock to be styled with the flow of air emitted by the hairdressing appliance. 1.
- This pendulum movement is likely to be particularly uncomfortable when parasitic gyroscopic effects occur due to the rotation of the ventilation wheel 6 and/or other rotating elements of the motorized ventilation module 5 (for example the rotor of the 6) electric wheel drive motor.
- the invention makes it possible to overcome this drawback, by limiting and/or compensating for untimely gyroscopic effects thanks to a specific positioning of the axis of rotation Z-Z', perpendicular to the third plane P3 as described above.
- a specific orientation of the axis of rotation ZZ' with respect to both the direction of blowing YY' and the direction of longitudinal extension XX' of the handle 2 any effects of dynamic imbalance by Gyroscopic effects are minimized, allowing the user to comfortably swing the wrist during the “ brushing ” operation.
- the path of the air is then optimized to completely travel through the heating element 8 This makes it possible to better dissipate the calories provided by the heating element 8 in the air flow, thus optimizing the heat exchange and therefore the performance of the device 1, thus avoiding in particular the formation of hot spots which could damage the heating element 8.
- the electric motor which rotates the fan wheel 6 is an external rotor motor.
- Such an external rotor motor has excellent efficiency, with the possibility of producing a high torque at high speed, which makes it possible to obtain optimum performance but leads to the generation of significant gyroscopic effects which the invention makes it possible to compensate for, thanks to the specific positioning of the axis of rotation Z-Z' explained previously.
- the design of the hairdressing appliance 1 according to the invention thus makes it possible to obtain an excellent compromise between the level of performance on the one hand and the comfort of use on the other hand.
- the electric motor driving the fan wheel 6 is a brushless electric motor (so-called “ brushless ” motor or machine self-driven synchronous with permanent magnets).
- a brushless motor is generally stronger and lighter than a conventional brushed electric motor. Less noisy and more energy efficient, it also offers greater flexibility and better precision in adjusting its rotation speed.
- the electric motor driving the fan wheel 6 is a brushless DC motor (BLDC) with external rotor with sensors.
- BLDC brushless DC motor
- Such a motor has an excellent level of performance, while being compact, reliable and robust.
- Such a motor is certainly capable of generating significant gyroscopic effects, but the latter are advantageously compensated by the judicious positioning of the axis of rotation ZZ′ described previously.
- the motorized ventilation module 5 comprises an air intake inlet 9 provided through the housing 7, upstream of the ventilation wheel 6 with respect to the air flow, to allow the ventilation wheel 6 to suck in outside air parallel to said axis of rotation Z-Z'.
- the air intake vent 9 thus forms an opening along the axis of rotation Z-Z' allowing the introduction of outside air inside the housing 7 under the effect of the suction generated by the wheel of 6 rotating ventilation.
- This specific orientation of the air intake inlet 9 proves to be particularly advantageous because it is different from the orientation of the air outlet 4.
- This makes it possible to reduce the risk of seeing hair lying next to the suction hearing 9 during the use of the hairdressing device 1, thus limiting the risk of untimely suction of hair.
- a protective grid (visible in the figures) is also advantageously implemented for the safety of the user.
- the ventilation wheel 6 is a centrifugal (as illustrated in the figures) or helico-centrifugal ventilation wheel.
- a centrifugal or helico-centrifugal fan wheel makes it possible to position the air intake vent 9 along the axis of rotation Z-Z', while benefiting from quite appreciable aeraulic performance.
- the implementation of such a helico-centrifugal or centrifugal fan can make it possible to obtain, for an equivalent size, a high internal pressure with an air flow substantially similar to that of a propeller or helicoid fan, but with a lower rotation speed and therefore less noise generated.
- the fan wheel 6 is a centrifugal fan wheel, comprising a plurality of blades.
- a centrifugal fan wheel 6 is relatively small in size and relatively silent in operation, which proves very valuable for a device intended to be used close to the head and ears.
- the invention is however not limited to the implementation of a centrifugal or helico-centrifugal fan wheel 6, and it is for example possible to use a tangential fan wheel, without however going out of the scope of the invention.
- the motorized ventilation module 5 includes a volute 11 which envelops the ventilation wheel 6 and makes it possible, in cooperation with the ventilation wheel, to generate the air flow.
- the volute 11 thus forms an internal working chamber within which the ventilation wheel 6 is housed.
- This internal chamber is provided with an air inlet corresponding to the suction inlet 9, through which the ambient air is sucked axially by the fan wheel 6 within the working chamber formed by the volute 11.
- the working chamber in question is also provided with an air outlet through which the sucked air is discharged radially, by the ventilation wheel 6, outside the working chamber formed by volute 11.
- the device 1 comprises an intermediate duct 12 provided within the handle 2 to put the ventilation wheel 6 in air communication with the blower head 3.
- the housing 7 of the motor-driven ventilation module 5, which includes or forms volute 11, communicates with said intermediate duct 12.
- the blowing head 3 itself forms a blowing duct 13 which is connected on the one hand to the intermediate duct 12 and on the other hand to said outlet of air 4 through which it leads to the outside.
- the electric heating element 8 is advantageously arranged in the blowing duct 13, upstream of the air outlet 4 and downstream of the intermediate duct 12, in consideration of the airflow direction.
- the intermediate duct 12 advantageously channels the flow of air through and inside the handle 2, in this case in the direction from the second end 2B towards the first end 2A, in the direction of the blowing head 3 , along a trajectory which is preferably substantially rectilinear.
- the blowing head advantageously extends, along said average blowing direction Y-Y', between a closed rear face 3A and a front face 3B comprising said air outlet 4.
- the blowing duct 13 emerges only at the level of the front face 3B but does not communicate with the exterior at the level of the rear face 3A which is closed in an airtight manner.
- the aeraulic performances are optimized thanks to this technical measure, which also avoids the presence, at the level of the blower head 3, of a suction inlet which could be a source of discomfort, or even of risk, for the user.
- the blowing head 3 advantageously embeds a deflector 15, designed and configured to deflect the flow of air coming from the intermediate duct 12 and bring it into the blowing duct 13.
- the deflector 15 is advantageously shaped and arranged to subject the air flow coming from the intermediate duct 12 a deflection of at least 70°, and preferably of about 90°, in the direction of the air outlet 4.
- the hairdressing appliance comprises an electronic module 16 for controlling and/or controlling the operation of the appliance 1.
- the electronic module 16 is for example in the form of an electronic card (PCBA) formed of a plate printed circuit board (PCB) on which various electronic components are mounted (capacitor, resistor, transistors, etc. ).
- the electronic card forming the electronic module 16 is advantageously functionally connected to the motorized ventilation module 5 and/or to the electric heating element 8, as well as preferably to at least one adjustment member 17 for the operation of the device 1, adjustment member 17 which can be operated manually by the user.
- the electronic module 16 is advantageously embedded within the blowing head 3, upstream of said electric heating element 8 with respect to the air flow.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 has a particularly compact character and a particularly simple and reliable construction, which allows optimal operation thanks in particular to the efficient cooling of the electronic module 16 obtained by the specific positioning of the latter in the air flow.
- the electronic module 16 is attached to the deflector 15, on the internal face of the latter which therefore assumes a dual function of deflecting the flow of air and supporting the electronic module 16.
- the specific positioning of the electronic module 16 on the deflector 15 makes it possible to optimize the cooling of the electronic module 16, due to the fact that at the level of the deflector 15 the air flow is likely to undergo turbulence phenomena which promote heat exchange.
- the blowing duct formed by the blowing head 3 advantageously has a substantially convergent shape in the direction of the air outlet 4, in order to produce a convergent nozzle effect which makes it possible to lower the pressure and increase the speed of the flow. of air at the outlet 4.
- the blowing duct 13 widens progressively from the front face 3B towards the rear face 3A. This flared shape towards the rear also makes it possible to free up sufficient space to house the electronic module 16.
- the blowing head 3 embeds the adjusting member 17 for the operation of the device 1, which adjusting member 17 is manually operable to allow adjustment of the operation of the device 1, for example an adjustment of the power of supply and/or airflow temperature.
- the adjustment member 17 is arranged on the face rear 3A of the blowing head 3. This configuration, which advantageously takes advantage of the fact that the rear face 3 is preferably closed, gives excellent ergonomics to the hairdressing appliance 1, by using the rear of the blowing head 3 , usually devoted to an air suction function in prior art devices, to position an adjustment member 17 that the user can therefore operate manually while drying his hair.
- the adjusting member 17 is advantageously positioned so that a user can grip the handle 2 with one hand while actuating said first adjusting member 17 with the thumb of said hand.
- the adjustment member 17 in question is advantageously designed to adjust the speed of the air flow, ensuring the adjustment of the speed of rotation of the fan wheel 6, via the electric motor to which the latter is connected.
- the adjustment member advantageously consists of a rotary knob rotating along an axis advantageously corresponding to the average direction of blowing Y-Y'.
- a rotary wheel in particular a wheel configured to rotate along an axis that coincides with or is parallel to the average direction of blowing Y-Y', confers a particularly ergonomic character on the device 1.
- the wheel is integrated into the blowing head 3 so that it itself contributes to locally defining the surface envelope of the blowing head 3. Thanks to this technical measure, the adjustment member 17 is simply flush with the external envelope of the blowing head 3, without forming any noticeable protrusion on the surface of the latter. This not only makes it possible to confer an aesthetic character on the apparatus 1, but also to contribute to its compactness and its robustness.
- the wheel is in the form of at least one ring or ring portion which rotates along the aforementioned axis of rotation around a fixed central hub 20.
- the central hub 20 in question is advantageously in the form of a solid wall, of substantially circular shape, which contributes to delimiting the rear face 3A.
- the wheel can be in the form of a ring, and for example and as illustrated in the figures in the form of a unitary ring formed by a single piece in one piece of substantially circular general shape.
- the knob is presented alternately in the form of one or more ring portions, for for example in the form of two half-rings placed side by side so as to together form a ring.
- a first half-ring may for example be dedicated to adjusting the motorized ventilation module 5, while the other half-ring may be dedicated to adjusting the heating element 8, or any other element functional.
- the blowing head 3 comprises an outer casing including a cup-shaped portion which forms said rear face 3A, as illustrated in the figures.
- Said cup advantageously has a bottom formed at least in part by the central hub 20, and a side wall which extends from the periphery of said bottom and is formed at least in part by the ring advantageously constituting the wheel.
- the wheel is perfectly integrated into the blowing head 3, while being easily accessible and manipulable with the thumb.
- the hairdressing appliance 1 also advantageously comprises a hot air/cool air selector 18, advantageously mounted on the handle 2, for example close to the first end 2A of the latter, to activate/deactivate the electric heating element 8 and thus allow the user to choose between blowing a stream of warm air or a stream of air at room temperature.
- the hot air/cool air selector 18 is for example in the form of a rocker switch or a push button.
- the user is able on the one hand to adjust the speed of the air flow by acting on the wheel forming the adjustment member 17 disposed on the rear face 3A , and on the other hand to select a flow of hot air or a flow of cool air by acting on the selector 18 arranged on the handle 2, while carrying out the styling operation (for example of the " brushing " type ) without having to interrupt it.
- said blower head 3 and motorized ventilation module 5 each form, on each side of the handle 2, a respective protrusion which extends in at least one respective transverse direction relative to the mean direction of longitudinal extension XX' of the sleeve 2.
- the presence of each of the protrusions respectively formed by the blowing head 3 and the motorized ventilation module 5 on either side of the sleeve 2 makes it possible to well delimit the handle 2 by forming on either side of the latter guards which intuitively invite the user to grasp the device 1 at the level of the handle 2 only, in an optimal gripping configuration.
- the presence of these protuberances on either side of the handle 2 also contributes to the good distribution of the masses as mentioned previously.
- the protrusion formed by the blowing head 3 thus extends along at least one transverse direction which corresponds to the average blowing direction Y-Y'.
- the protrusion formed by the blowing head 3 is advantageously not centered relative to the handle 2, and thus extends transversely relative to the latter more significantly towards the front face 3B than towards the rear face 3A.
- the blowing head 3 extends, along the average blowing direction Y-Y', by a length L1 measured between the average direction of longitudinal extension XX' and the front face 3B, and d 'a length L2 measured between the mean direction of longitudinal extension XX' and the rear face 3A, the length L1 being greater, and for example 1.2 to 1.8 times greater, than the distance L2.
- the protrusion formed by the blowing head 3 has substantially a general shape of revolution along an axis corresponding to the mean direction of blowing Y-Y'.
- the excrescence formed by the motorized ventilation module 5 it advantageously has a substantially cylindrical shape with a circular base along an axis corresponding to the axis of rotation Z-Z'.
- the protuberance formed by the motor-driven ventilation module 5 advantageously extends along a height H1 between a first lateral facade covered by the protective grid and at the level of which the air intake inlet 9 is arranged, and a second opposite side facade 19.
- the second side facade 19 is advantageously closed. Behind it is advantageously arranged the drive motor of the ventilation wheel 6, which motor is thus interposed between the second side facade 19 closed (but preferably removable to access the motor) and the ventilation wheel 6.
- the protrusion formed by the blowing head 3 extends, parallel to the direction corresponding to the axis of rotation Z-Z', along a distance H2 which is advantageously greater than or equal to the extension distance H1 of the protrusion formed by the motorized ventilation module 5 along this same direction Z-Z'.
- the diameter D in question is also advantageously less than the total extension length L of the blowing head 3 along the average blowing direction YY' ( picture 3 ).
- the user first connects the device 1 to the mains via the cord 14. The user then activates the knob forming the adjustment member 17 to start the motorized ventilation module 5.
- the speed of rotation of the ventilation wheel 6 can then be adjusted by means of the wheel in question. Under the effect of the rotation of the fan wheel 6, ambient air is sucked in by the hearing 9 then pushed back into the intermediate duct 12 in which it circulates along a substantially straight path parallel to the mean direction of extension. longitudinal XX 'of the handle 2.
- the air flow then reaches the blowing head within which the air flow first sweeps the electronic module 16 to cool it, then then sweeps the electric heating element 8 in order to be heated by the latter, to finally exit outside via the air outlet 4, in the average direction of blowing Y-Y'.
- the user In order to perform styling of the " brushing " type, the user directs the air outlet 4 in the direction of a lock of hair to be shaped by means of a brush, and then proceeds to movements of pendulum of the wrist of the hand which holds the handle 2.
- This pendulum movement is not disturbed or rendered uncomfortable by any undesirable gyroscopic effects due to the rotation of the ventilation wheel 6, thanks to the specific orientation of the axis of rotation ZZ' of the latter, which is perpendicular to the third plane P3 in which both the mean direction of longitudinal extension XX' of the sleeve 2 and the average blowing direction Y-Y'.
- the pendulum movement of the user's hand can even be facilitated, or even accentuated by the gyroscopic effect due to the rotation of the ventilation wheel 6.
