Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an end profile for insulating material elements with a profile body extending in a longitudinal direction, which comprises an insertion leg, the insertion leg being designed for insertion between an insulating material element and an adjacent building structure, in particular a floor surface, and having two flat sides, which are opposed to one another in such a way that when the insertion leg is inserted, one of the flat sides faces the insulating element and the other flat side faces the structure.
  • Such end profiles are used to give a building insulation composed of insulating material elements a clean end.
  • the insulation elements can be mounted on a wall in particular in such a way that there is a gap between the underside of the insulation and the floor. Therefore, an adjacent arrangement of an insulating material element and a structure within the meaning of the present disclosure is not to be understood in such a way that the insulating material element touches the structure.
  • a gap or joint between the underside of the insulation and the floor prevents the insulation elements from standing in the moisture when the floor is damp and thus counteracts mold growth.
  • end profiles of the type mentioned it is generally sufficient to insert their insertion legs into the gap between the insulating elements and the structure.
  • the end profiles can then be plastered over.
  • end profiles of the type mentioned in their desired installation positions In practice, however, it has proved difficult to reliably hold end profiles of the type mentioned in their desired installation positions.
  • the end profiles can tend to wobble and/or slip because the insertion legs are generally flatter than the gap width.
  • attachment by screwing, gluing or the like is associated with an undesired additional effort.
  • the DE 20 2009 011103 U1 discloses a skirting board for insulation panels, which includes a base leg with a sealing lip.
  • the DE 100 66 070 A1 discloses a profile strip in which a strip-shaped tab is connected to the profile strip via a weakened zone of smaller thickness and can be separated from the profile strip at the weakened zone.
  • At least one resilient lip is arranged on the insertion leg, which protrudes from one of the flat sides and extends in the longitudinal direction.
  • the lip presses the insertion leg against the insulation element and thus holds the end profile in position.
  • the insertion leg is braced by the resilient lip between the insulating element and the structure. This prevents the end profile from wobbling or slipping, without the need for separate fastening means. Due to the spring effect of the lip, gaps or joints of different widths can be sealed with an end profile according to the invention.
  • the resilient lip can be formed from an elastic material so that the spring effect results from the elasticity of the lip itself.
  • the resilient lip could be designed as a rigid component and be connected to the insertion leg via a spring element.
  • a plurality of resilient lips are arranged on the insertion leg, which protrude from the same flat side and run parallel to one another. This means that a lamellar arrangement of resilient lips is provided on the insertion leg. This ensures a reliable spring action even with a relatively thin design of the lips.
  • the plurality of resilient lips are identically shaped.
  • the male leg has a predetermined breaking point extending in the longitudinal direction, with at least one resilient lip being arranged on each side of the predetermined breaking point.
  • the predetermined breaking point enables the leg width to be reduced quickly and easily if this is required due to the installation situation. Since at least one resilient lip remains on the profile body after the corresponding leg part has been removed, the reduced end profile can also be reliably clamped in the gap between the insulating element and the structure.
  • the invention provides that at least three resilient lips are arranged on the insertion leg, which protrude from the same flat side and run parallel to one another, the insertion leg being connected to a cleaning leg and at least two of the at least three resilient lips between the cleaning leg and the predetermined breaking point are arranged.
  • the insertion leg being connected to a cleaning leg and at least two of the at least three resilient lips between the cleaning leg and the predetermined breaking point are arranged.
  • the at least one resilient lip preferably protrudes from that flat side of the insertion leg which is intended to be turned towards the structure.
  • the at least one resilient lip can protrude from an underside of the insertion leg. This is advantageous in that the lip can be supported particularly well on the generally hard structure.
  • the at least one resilient lip can be molded directly onto the insertion leg.
  • the insertion leg and the resilient lip are therefore made in one piece.
  • Such a one-piece design is also preferred for developments of the invention in which there is more than one resilient lip, for example two or three resilient lips. This enables a particularly cost-effective production and ensures high stability of the profile body.
  • the sealing effect is particularly pronounced in the case of a one-piece design of the insertion leg and the resilient lip.
  • the resilient lip could also be designed as a separate component that is attached to the insertion leg.
  • the at least one resilient lip preferably extends over the entire length of the insertion leg.
  • a resilient lip closes a joint formed between the insertion leg and the structure and thereby counteracts the ingress of moisture into the joint, for example as a result of driving rain.
  • the joint formed between the insertion leg and the structure is thus sealed over the entire surface by a resilient lip that extends over the entire length of the insertion leg.
  • the resilient lip could also be interrupted in relation to its longitudinal extent.
  • the at least one resilient lip is flat.
  • the lip is preferably designed as a flat tongue, lamella or the like. This saves weight and costs.
  • When made from a elastic material results in a particularly favorable spring effect for a flat component.
  • the at least one resilient lip has a curved course, viewed in a cross-sectional plane running transversely to the longitudinal direction. This supports the springy effect and also ensures a sealed connection to the structure.
  • a special embodiment of the invention provides that the curved course is at least approximately in the form of a quarter of a circle. This has proven to be particularly favorable with regard to the resilient effect and the sealing against the structure.
  • the at least one resilient lip can also have a rectilinear course, viewed in a cross-sectional plane running transversely to the longitudinal direction, in particular in a delivery state. Such a resilient lip can in particular be aligned at an angle to the relevant flat side of the insertion leg.
  • the at least one resilient lip is tapered towards its free end. This results in a particularly narrow edging that can lie well against the structure. It has been found that a resilient lip which tapers towards its free end also develops the desired holding effect when it runs in a straight line in cross section, as indicated above. Such a lip curves away when the terminating profile is in the installed state and also serves as a spacer like a lip that is curved from the outset.
  • a longitudinally extending one Sealing element attached to the relevant flat side of the insertion leg.
  • the sealing against the structure can be further increased.
  • a pre-compressed joint sealing tape or swelling tape can be provided as the sealing element.
  • a fastening area extending in the longitudinal direction for attaching a sealing element to the relevant flat side of the insertion leg can be provided between at least two of the plurality of resilient lips.
  • the fastening area for example an adhesive zone, can be used to subsequently attach a sealing element, for example on the construction site.
  • the profile body can comprise a flat cleaning leg which is aligned transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the insertion leg.
  • the plaster leg can have a perforation, which promotes plaster clawing.
  • a flat plastering element in particular a fabric, can be attached to the plaster leg, for example by sewing, gluing or welding, in particular ultrasonic welding.
  • the at least one resilient lip protrudes from a flat side of the insertion leg pointing away from the cleaning leg.
  • the lip can then be supported on the structure, while the plaster leg can be used to plaster the insulation.
  • a curvature of the resilient lip towards the cleaning leg is advantageous in that the resilient lip then runs smoothly over the structure when the insertion leg is inserted slides and does not lock.
  • water penetrating from the plaster side can be prevented particularly effectively in the manner mentioned.
  • the profile body can comprise a flat tear-off tab, which runs at least essentially parallel to the insertion leg and is detachably connected to it.
  • a protective film can be attached to the tear-off tab to protect the sections of the building that are not to be plastered. To remove the protective film, the tear-off tab can be detached from the profile body.
  • the spring stiffness of the lip is preferably higher than in conventional sealing lips that are made of a comparatively soft material that differs in particular from the material of the component to which the sealing lip is attached. According to the invention it is preferably provided that - as already mentioned - the or each resilient lip is formed in one piece with the insertion leg.
  • the at least one resilient lip is preferably made of rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) or metal. This ensures a relatively high spring stiffness of the resilient lip and thus a tight fit of the profile body between the structure and the insulating element.
  • PVC-U polyvinyl chloride
  • the profile body can have a contact surface which is designed for contact with the structure and defines a contact plane, with the at least one resilient lip projecting beyond the contact plane in the direction of the structure, in particular in an undeformed initial state.
  • the resilient lip can protrude further from a flat side of the insertion leg provided for facing towards the structure than a support section of the profile body which also protrudes from this flat side and has the contact surface.
  • the end profile 11 shown and designed according to the invention comprises an elongate profile body 13 which is preferably made of plastic, for example polyvinyl chloride, or of metal, for example sheet metal.
  • the profile body 13 has, in a manner known in principle, a flat insertion leg 15 and a flat tear-off tab 17 running parallel thereto and also a flat cleaning leg 19 running transversely thereto.
  • the plaster leg 19 has a hole 21 for plaster clawing.
  • a fabric 23 is attached to the plaster leg 19, for example sewn, glued or welded.
  • a pull-off edge 20 is formed on a web 18 located between the cleaning leg 19 and the tear-off tab 17 .
  • the web 18 is coupled to the tear-off tab 17 via a soft connection 22 .
  • the insertion leg 15 is designed to be inserted between an insulating material element 25 and an adjacent structure 27 .
  • the insulating element 25 is arranged on a wall 29 and extends essentially to the floor, which forms the structure 27.
  • the insertion leg 15 is pushed into a gap 30 which is formed between the insulating element 25 and the structure 27 .
  • a first, in 1 The upper flat side 31 of the insertion leg 15 faces the insulating material element 25 , while the opposite, second flat side 32 , which is the lower one in the figure, faces the structure 27 .
  • An arrangement of ribs 60 is provided on the upper flat side 31 of the insertion leg 15 .
  • the ribs 60 run parallel to one another and have a rounded cross section.
  • Two resilient lips 35 protrude from the lower flat side 32 of the insertion leg 15 and are described in more detail below.
  • the resilient lips 35 are preferably flat structures that extend parallel to one another along a longitudinal direction 37 ( 3 ) of the profile body 13 extend over its entire length.
  • the resilient lips 35 are preferably molded directly onto the insertion leg 15 .
  • the resilient lips 35 have a curved course when viewed transversely to the longitudinal direction 37 .
  • the direction of the curvature is selected in each case in such a way that the free longitudinal edges 39 point in the direction of the cleaning leg 19 .
  • the curved course is approximately in the form of a quarter of a circle.
  • the resilient lips 35 are bent toward the cleaning leg 19 .
  • the beginning portions 40 of the resilient lips 35 are thicker than the end portions 45, that is, the resilient lips 35 are tapered toward the free longitudinal edges 39, respectively.
  • the resilient lips 35 are supported on the structure 27 and press the insertion leg 15 upwards against the insulating element 25.
  • the end profile 11 is fixed in the desired installation position and can be plastered using the cleaning leg 19 and the fabric 23.
  • the resilient lips 35 since the resilient lips 35 completely cover the gap 30, they also provide a seal.
  • the resilient lips 35 keep moisture away from the wall 29 in the event of a driving rain event. If stronger clamping of the insertion leg 15 in the gap 30 or a further improved seal is desired, more than two, for example three to five, resilient lips 35 can also be provided on the insertion leg 15 .
  • a compressed joint sealing tape 47 can be attached to the second flat side 32 of the insertion leg 15, as shown in FIG 1 is indicated by dashed lines.
  • the joint sealing tape 47 is preferably arranged between the two resilient lips 35 . Furthermore, it is preferred that the joint sealing tape 47 extends over the entire length of the profile body 13 like the resilient lips 35 .
  • an air gap 65 is shown between the tear-off tab 17 and the structure 27 .
  • the tear-off tab 17 can rest against the structure 27, for example due to the weight or the intended arrangement of the insulating element 25, the underside of the tear-off tab 17 having a contact surface 70 ( 2 ) forms, which defines a system level 71.
  • the resilient lips 35 are clearly in the direction of the structure 27 over the contact plane 71, at least as long as they are undeformed.
  • the resilient lips 35 can therefore be supported on the structure 27 with relatively pronounced deformation.
  • a reliable bracing of the profile body 13 between the structure 27 and the insulating element 25 is achieved by the overhang.
  • a predetermined breaking point 50 of the insertion leg 15 can be seen, which extends in the longitudinal direction 37 .
  • its width can be reduced in a simple manner if, for example, the end profile 11 is to be used with thinner insulating material elements 25. Since resilient lips 35 are present on both sides of the predetermined breaking point 50, the position-fixing and sealing function of the terminating profile 11 is also present after the width of the insertion leg 15 has been reduced.
  • the end profile 11 according to the invention is particularly suitable for facade renovations in which adjacent components are not to be reworked, as is often the case, for example, in the renovation of arcades.
  • the closing profile 11 is inserted between the lower edge of the insulating element 25 and the structure 27 .
  • the end profile 11 and the insulating element 25 by applying Plaster mortar plastered, in a known manner, the trigger edge 20 of the profile body 13 is used for peeling.
  • a splash protection film (not shown) can be glued to the tear-off tab 17 during plastering. After completion of the plaster layer, the tear-off tab 17 is removed.
  • the arrangement of resilient lips 35 on the lower flat side 32 of the insertion leg 15 not only ensures that the position of the end profile 11 is reliably fixed, but also improves the sealing of the gap 30.
  • the 4 and 5 show an alternatively designed end profile 11' according to the invention, which, like that in FIGS Figures 1 to 3
  • the end profile 11 shown has an elongated profile body 13' with a flat insertion leg 15, a flat tear-off tab 17 running parallel thereto and a cleaning leg 19 running transversely thereto.
  • the same or equivalent elements are in the 4 and 5 denoted by the same reference numerals as in FIG 2 and 3 .
  • insertion leg 15 In contrast to the embodiment according to 2 and 3 are at the in 4 shown insertion leg 15 not two but three resilient lips 35 are arranged.
  • the two resilient lips 35 on the left in the picture are arranged between the cleaning leg 19 and the predetermined breaking point 50 , while the resilient lip 35 on the right in the picture is arranged on that side of the predetermined breaking point 50 which faces away from the cleaning leg 19 . If this leg part is broken off and removed, two resilient lips 35 remain on the profile body 13'.
  • the correspondingly narrowed terminating profile 11' can be supported reliably and without tilting on the ground by means of the two remaining resilient lips 35.
  • a joint sealing tape 47 is arranged between the two resilient lips 35, which are arranged between the cleaning leg 19 and the predetermined breaking point 50. This can as in 4 shown to substantially completely fill the space between the resilient lips 35.
  • the joint sealing tape 47 can also be clamped between the resilient lips 35, so that no separate attachment, such as gluing, is necessary.
  • the joint sealing tape 47 can be a swelling tape or a compriband.
