Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a kind of roller blind, in particular to a kind of roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions with higher operational reliability.
  • Roller blinds are easy to use, beautiful, and widely used in home life and offices.
  • a common approach used by the roller blind of the prior art is fixing and installing a reel at the upper end of a window, rotating the reel to wind or release a curtain.
  • This kind of roller blind is firstly opened from the lower part of the window so that the upper part of the window blocks the light and the lower part allows the light to pass through; when the roller blind is opened, the lower part of the window cannot block the sight, and the upper part can not allow the light to pass through.
  • roller blind In real life, in private spaces, e.g., rooms, reception rooms and restrooms, and school classrooms and certain office places, it is often desired that the lower half part of the window can block the sight while the upper half part can allow the light to pass through. Therefore, it requires a kind of roller blind that can be opened from the upper part. However, in order to block the sight or direct light at different parts of the window, it is sometimes needed to block the middle or upper part of the window; therefore, an ideal roller blind function is that the roller blind can be opened by any size of area at any position of the window.
  • ZL201320482322.5 ( CN203476169U ) discloses a kind of upper-opening roller blind; in said patent, by connecting both ends of a reel with a movable pulley mechanism, a traction cord drives the movable pulley and the reel to move upward or downward and meanwhile drives the reel to rotate; the speed at which the reel moves upward or downward is similar to the speed at which a curtain is released from or wound around the reel, and the lower end of the roller blind almost keeps stationary, so that a dynamic upper-opening roller blind is realized.
  • a clutch mechanism is arranged between the movable pulley and the reel in said patent, so that any position of the window can be occluded.
  • ZL201620022532.X ( CN205297266U ) discloses a roller blind that can open by any size at any position of a window, which comprises a reel, a curtain, movable pulleys at both ends of a reel, and a traction cord; the two ends of the traction cord are respectively connected with two motor-driven winding devices; by controlling the running mode of the two motors, the curtain can be opened from an upper to a lower position, or the size of the released curtain can be adjusted at any position of the window, so that any position of the lower, middle or upper part of the window can be shaded by the curtain.
  • roller blinds disclosed by the aforementioned patents all rely on the gravity of the reel and the pulling force of the traction cord to drive the reel to rotate; if the gravity of the reel is not sufficient, it will be difficult for the reel to rotate when it moves upward or downward, as a result of which the upper-opening of the roller blind cannot be realized.
  • the roller blinders disclosed by the aforementioned patents all rely on a winding device to wind or release the traction cord to drive the reel; when the traction cord is released, the downward moving of the reel also relies on a gravity force; as a result, it renders said roller blind not suitable to be used in situations that require tilted or horizontal installation. Meanwhile, the winding device occupies the design space, which is disadvantageous to the optimization of the entire system.
  • the present invention provides a roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions, which renders the movement of the reel not dependent on its own gravity; therefore, the operation is more reliable, and it enables the roller blind to be used in situations that require tilted or horizontal installation.
  • a roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions, comprises a reel, one or more traction cords, and one or more traction devices; wherein an end or ends of the reel is provided with one or more movable pulleys; wherein the one or more traction cords comprise a lift-up section and a pull-down section which move synchronously by the traction of the one or more traction devices; wherein the lift-up section and the pull-down section, after passing the movable pulley, are tensioned upward and downward respectively, thereby keeping the movable pulley stable.
  • the lift-up section and the pull-down section can be separated structures.
  • the one or more traction devices are one or more winding devices arranged at one end or two ends of the lift-up section and the pull-down section; the winding devices' structures are simple, and the winding devices can be driven by motors or manually; either one end or both ends of the lift-up section and the pull-down section can be connected with the one or more winding devices; when the winding devices at the two ends of the lift-up section are winding a cord, and the winding devices at the two ends of the pull-down section are unwinding a cord at the same speed, the movable pulley then only moves upward or downward without rotating; when the winding device at one end of the lift-up section is winding a cord and the winding device at the other end is unwinding a cord at the same speed, and the winding devices at the two ends of the pull-down section are running in opposite direction, the movable pulley then only rotates, and does not move upward or
  • the one or more traction cords have a closed-loop structure;
  • the roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions comprises a plurality of tensioning wheels for tensioning the one or more traction cords, and wherein at least one of the plurality of tensioning wheels is a traction wheel which constitutes the one or more traction devices.
  • the closed-loop structure adds one or more tension devices, but omits the one or more winding devices for winding and unwinding the one or more traction cords, and ensures a synchronous movement of the lift-up section and the pull-down section.
  • two traction wheels are included; said two traction wheels pull different ends of the lift-up section and the pull-down section, respectively.
  • the movable pulley can be prevented from rotating, but only moves upward or downward, so that the height of the roller blind can be adjusted.
  • the two traction wheels are respectively driven by two different motors.
  • the two traction wheels may also be provided with only one driving motor; said driving motor drives one of the two traction wheels, which then drives the other traction wheel.
  • a clutch device is arranged between the two traction wheels.
  • the clutch device may be a gear set, which comprises an intermediate gear; when the intermediate gear is engaged with the other gears, the two traction wheels are linked; when the intermediate gear is withdrawn, the two traction wheels are disconnected.
  • the traction cord is a bead chain or a synchronous belt.
  • the roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions is configured to have guide grooves on its two sides; wherein the one or more traction devices, the one or more traction cords, and the one or more movable pulleys are arranged on the guide grooves.
  • the guide grooves can limit the lateral swing of the movable pulley, so that the roller blind has a wind-resistance function; and, modularization of the apparatus can be realized, thereby facilitating its assembly.
  • the traction cords and the traction devices are arranged symmetrically; the traction devices on both sides are connected coaxially, the coaxial connection can transmit the driving force of one side to the other side, ensuring a synchronous movement of the traction cords on both sides.
  • the present invention can achieve a free opening and closing of a curtain in upward and downward directions by the following: one or more traction cords are configured to comprise a lift-up section and a pull-down section, said lift-up section and pull-down section tension the movable pulley in two opposite directions, to maintain the balance of the movable pulley; when the lift-up section and the pull-down section move synchronously under traction, the movable pulley can rotate while moving upward or downward, so that the reel can move upward or downward while releasing or rolling the curtain, without relying on the gravity of the reel.
  • 1 is a movable pulley; 2 curtain; 31 lift-up section; 32 pull-down section; 33, 34 connecting section; 41, 42, 43, 44 winding device; 51, 52, 53, 54 tensioning wheel; 6 counterweight; 7 intermediate gear; 8 guide groove; 91, 92 motor; 10 controller; 11 drive rod; 12 fixed gear seat; 61, 62, 63, 64 bead chain.
  • a roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions, comprises a reel (not shown in FIG. 1 ), a movable pulley 1, a traction cord, and a curtain 2.
  • the upper end of curtain 2 is fixed on the reel, and the lower end is a free end which is provided with a counterweight 6.
  • the traction cord of the present invention comprises a lift-up section 31 and a pull-down section 32; the two ends of the lift-up section 31 are respectively connected with a winding device 41 and a winding device 42; the two ends of the pull-down section are respectively connected with a winding device 43 and a winding device 44; the lift-up section 31, after passing the movable pulley 1, is tensioned upward; the pull-down section 32 tensions the movable pulley downward, so that the movable pulley 1 keeps stable at any time.
  • a roller blind that opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions, comprises a reel (not shown in FIG. 2 ), a movable pulley 1, and a curtain 2;
  • the traction cord comprises a lift-up section 31 and a pull-down section 32, which are connected by connecting sections 33 and 34 to form a closed-loop structure, and are tensioned on four tensioning wheels, wherein a tensioning wheel 51 and a tensioning wheel 52 are traction wheels which can be driven manually or by a motor.
  • the traction cord can be any cord or string with a small elongation rate, or a bead chain, or a synchronous belt; of course, the tensioning wheels and the movable pulley need to use structures that match the traction cord. If the traction cord is a bead chain, the tensioning wheels and the movable pulley are sprockets; if the traction cord is a synchronous belt, the tensioning wheels and the movable pulley are timing pulleys.
  • the lift-up section 31 of the traction cord is tensioned upward after passing the movable pulley 1, and the pull-down section 32 tensions downward after passing the movable pulley 2 thereby keeping the movable pulley 1 stable.
  • the upper end of curtain 2 is fixed on the reel, and the lower end is provided with a counterweight 6.
  • the movable pulley 1, the traction cord, and the tensioning wheels are arranged on a guide groove 8; the tensioning wheel 52 is provided with an intermediate gear 7; the guide groove 8 is provided with a fixed gear seat 12 which can be engaged with the intermediate gear 7.
  • the tensioning wheels 51 and 52 are respectively provided with coaxial gear rings, and the intermediate gear 7 is always engaged with the gear ring of the tensioning wheel 52. If the tensioning wheel 52 is desired to rotate, as shown in FIG 4 , the intermediate gear 7 will be rotated around the axis of the tensioning wheel 52 so that it is engaged with the gear ring on the tensioning wheel 51, then the rotation of the tensioning wheel 52 will be driven by the tensioning wheel 51.
  • the way the lift-up section 31 is wound around the tensioning wheel 52 is different from the way used in FIG. 2 ; said way of connection, can link the tensioning wheel 51 and the tensioning wheel 52 via the intermediate gear 7, in order to achieve that both ends of the lift-up section 31 of the traction cord move upward or downward simultaneously.
  • the tensioning wheel 51 rotates counterclockwise, the intermediate gear 7 remains disengaged from the gear ring on the tensioning wheel 51, and is engaged with the fixed gear seat 12, so that the tensioning wheel 52 is in a stationary state; under the traction of the tensioning wheel 51, the lift-up section 31 will be gradually shortened, and the pull-down section 32 will be gradually extended; the traction cord drives the movable pulley 1 to move upward and meanwhile rotate clockwise, and the curtain is released, so that the roller blind is closed from a lower to an upper position.
  • the tensioning wheel 52 If the tensioning wheel 51 rotates counterclockwise, and the intermediate gear 7 is disengaged from the fixed gear seat 12, and is engaged with the gear ring of the tensioning wheel 51, the tensioning wheel 52 also rotates counterclockwise, as shown in FIG. 4 . Since the traction cord is wound around the tensioning wheel 52 in a reverse direction, both ends of the lift-up section 31 of the traction cord are shortened at the same time, the movable pulley 1 moves upward but without rotating, so that the curtain is raised as a whole. Otherwise, the curtain is lowered as a whole; therefore, it can be achieved that the window can be occluded at any position.
  • the arrangement of the reel (not shown in FIG 5 ), the guide groove 8, the movable pulley 1, the curtain 2, the traction cord and the fixed pulley is the same as that of Embodiment 2, but without an intermediate gear and a fixed gear seat.
  • the tensioning wheel 51 and the tensioning wheel 52 are respectively driven by a motor 91 and a motor 92, said motor 91 and motor 92 are controlled by a controller 10; various programs can be set by the controller 10 to respectively control the rotation, stationary and different rotation directions of the motor 91 and the motor 92, so that the combined actions of the two traction wheels as described in Embodiment 2 can be achieved, thereby realizing the result that the curtain can be upward/upper opened or closed or any position of the window can be occluded by the curtain.
  • both sides of the roller blind are provided with guide grooves 8; and the traction cords, the movable pulleys 1 and the tensioning wheels are installed on guide grooves 8.
  • the traction cords, tensioning wheels, and movable pulleys on both sides of the roller blind are arranged symmetrically; the reel is arranged between the two movable pulleys 1; a curtain is wound around the reel.
  • the traction wheels on both sides are coaxially connected by a drive rod 11, so that the synchronous movement of the movable pulleys on both sides can be realized by driving the traction wheel on one side.
  • roller blind of the present invention which opens and closes freely in upward and downward directions, can be applied to tilted or horizontal installation.
  • each of the tensioning wheel 51 and the tensioning wheel 52 is independently manually driven by a set of bead chain - sprocket wheel; wherein the closed-loop bead chain that drives the tensioning wheel 52 freely droops into two sections 61 and 62; the closed-loop bead chain that drives the tensioning wheel 51 freely droops into two sections 63 and 64.
  • the tensioning wheel 51 When pulling 61 downwards, the tensioning wheel 51 will then rotate counterclockwise, and the tensioning wheel 52 will be stationary; the traction cord drives the movable pulley 1 to move upward and meanwhile to rotate clockwise, and the curtain will be released, thereby achieving the result that the roller blind can be closed from a lower to an upper position.
  • the traction cord drives the movable pulley 1 to move downward and meanwhile to rotate counterclockwise, and the curtain will be rolled, thereby achieving the result that the roller blind can be opened from an upper to a lower position.
  • the traction cord drives the movable pulley 1 to move upward meanwhile without rotating, and the curtain as a whole moves upward.
  • the traction cord drives the movable pulley 1 to move downward and meanwhile without rotating, and the curtain as a whole moves downward.
