Definitions
- the present invention relates to a conveyor dishwasher which is used in particular in the commercial sector, such conveyor dishwashers usually comprising one or more washing zones through which items to be washed are transported and treated, preferably by means of a conveyor belt.
- Such transport dishwashers are known in many forms, for example from WO 2015/171490 A1 or from the U.S. 4,657,188 A .
- Another transport dishwasher is also from WO 2008/100741 A1 which discloses a tank for receiving washing liquid, a plurality of washing arms for dispensing washing liquid and a washing manifold for supplying the washing arms, essentially as described in the preamble of claim 1.
- claims 2 to 13 relate to particularly advantageous embodiments of the conveyor dishwasher according to the invention.
- the invention also relates to a filter element or a flushing distributor with such a filter element according to claim 14 for use in a transport dishwasher according to one of claims 1 to 13.
- Claim 15 relates to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the filter element or flushing distributor with such a filter element.
- the conveyor dishwasher according to the invention comprises at least one wash zone, preferably also several wash zones, for example a main wash zone and optionally an upstream pre-wash zone and/or a downstream final-wash zone, but also others Rinsing zones and/or other treatment zones, such as drying zones, can be provided.
- the conveyor dishwasher according to the invention is designed in such a way that dishes or items to be cleaned or other objects to be cleaned can be moved in a transport direction A through the at least one washing zone.
- a conveyor dishwasher comprises a conveyor belt that transports the items to be cleaned or the dishes in the transport direction A through the one or more washing zones and/or treatment zones, with the items to be washed either being placed directly on the conveyor belt or associated holder elements or else the items to be washed can be placed in appropriate containers or baskets, which can then be transported through the one or through the multiple washing zones and/or treatment zones of the dishwasher by means of the conveyor belt or another transport device.
- the conveyor dishwasher according to the invention also includes a tank for holding a washing liquid.
- rinsing liquid as used in this application, is to be understood in a broader scope, whereby the rinsing liquid can be water, for example, without specific additives being mixed in, for example for a rinsing zone, but also other liquids and solutions such as water to which a detergent is added.
- the conveyor dishwasher comprises a plurality of washing arms, each with at least one dispensing element, preferably with a plurality of dispensing elements, in particular spray nozzles for example, for dispensing washing liquid into the at least one washing zone.
- the rinsing arms in the rinsing zone are arranged one behind the other transversely to the transport direction A and in the transport direction.
- the conveyor dishwasher comprises a rinsing distributor for supplying the several rinsing arms with a rinsing liquid.
- the flushing manifold is connected to the tank via a supply line, and the flushing manifold includes a plurality of connection ports, with each of the plurality of flushing arms being connected to one of the connection ports.
- rinsing liquid can be pumped from the tank via the supply line into the rinsing distributor and from the rinsing distributor through the connection openings into the plurality of rinsing arms.
- a conveyor dishwasher comprises according to the invention one or more pumps, which can be arranged at various points within the conveyor dishwasher, preferably in a tank or in the vicinity of a tank.
- the feed line is connected to an inlet opening of the flushing distributor, with the inlet opening being arranged in an area which, in transport direction A, is behind a last or rearmost connection opening of the flushing distributor in transport direction A, and thus preferably in a rear area in transport direction A of the flushing distributor is arranged.
- a rinsing liquid that is pumped into the rinsing distributor via the inlet opening of the rinsing distributor therefore preferably enters the rinsing distributor in a rear area in the transport direction A, so that during operation a flow can be generated in the rinsing distributor that is essentially opposite to the transport direction A is.
- the scavenging distributor has a filter element or a sieve element which is designed and arranged within the scavenging distributor in such a way that from its one end facing the inlet opening, preferably from a rear region of the scavenging distributor in transport direction A, in extends in a direction opposite to the transport direction A at least as far as the last or rearmost connection opening of the flushing distributor in the transport direction A.
- the filter element is also designed and positioned in the flushing distributor in such a way that it does not extend beyond the first or foremost connection opening of the flushing distributor in the transport direction A.
- the filter element is designed such that it acts as an overflow filter, so that the dirt or particles retained by the filter element can be discharged via the flushing arms, which are in the transport direction A in a front region.
- the filter element is also cleaned automatically and during operation, so that it is generally not necessary to remove the filter element for cleaning purposes.
- Such a transport dishwasher has the advantage that due to the filter, which extends over the last or rearmost connection opening of the flushing distributor in the transport direction A, the washing arm, which is connected to this last or rearmost connection opening, is exposed to a washing liquid which, to a lesser extent, dirt or particles.
- the rinsing arm located further to the rear in transport direction A is therefore loaded with dirt or dirt particles to a lesser extent, which also has the advantage that the dirt or contamination or dirt particles are prevented from being carried over into the subsequent rinsing zone or into another subsequent zone. In the case of single-tank machines, this relieves the fresh water rinsing process Multi-tank machines, the downstream rinsing zone and the pump rinsing are relieved in particular.
- the rinsing liquor will therefore be less and less contaminated in the flow direction or transport direction;
- the conveyor dishwasher comprises a plurality of flushing distributors in a flushing zone, to each of which a plurality of flushing arms are connected.
- a conveyor dishwasher preferably comprises a washing zone with an upper washing distributor and a lower washing distributor, so that the dishes or items to be cleaned can be exposed to washing liquid from above and from below.
- the multiple rinsing distributors in a rinsing zone can each have the same number of rinsing arms, but in a preferred embodiment it is also possible for a different number of rinsing arms to be provided per rinsing distributor.
- an upper rinse manifold may be configured to serve a total of five rinse arms, while a lower rinse manifold may be configured to serve fewer rinse arms, such as three rinse arms.
- the flushing distributor is preferably of tubular or cylindrical design, having a longitudinal axis which extends parallel or essentially parallel to the transport direction A. This ensures that the flow within the flushing distributor is as uniform and largely laminar as possible.
- the filter element is particularly preferably tubular or cylindrical, with the filter element having a longitudinal axis which extends parallel or essentially parallel to a longitudinal direction or a longitudinal axis of the flushing distributor and/or parallel or essentially parallel to the transport direction A.
- Such a configuration of the filter element has the advantage that a uniform flow is ensured or maintained, in particular in connection with the tubular or cylindrical flushing distributor. In particular, turbulence within the flushing distributor is reduced or largely avoided.
- the filter element has a closed shape in a cross-sectional direction perpendicular to the transport direction A, in particular a circular shape, an oval shape or a rectangular or square shape.
- a closed shape in a cross-sectional direction perpendicular to the transport direction A in particular a circular shape, an oval shape or a rectangular or square shape.
- One such filter element is On the one hand, it is simple and inexpensive to manufacture, and it also supports an even flow within the flushing distributor.
- the filter element is tubular or cylindrical, with the filter element having a longitudinal axis as well as a side wall and two end faces.
- the side wall is preferably provided with filter openings or sieve openings at least in partial areas, particularly preferably over the entire area, with at least one end face, preferably both end faces, being partially or particularly preferably completely open or being provided with an opening, alternatively with several openings .
- an overflow filter is implemented in a particularly preferred manner, which has the particular advantage that the dirt retained by the filter element or the particles retained by the filter element are passed on and transferred to the spray arms that are further ahead in transport direction A. This also ensures automatic cleaning of the filter element during operation of the transport dishwasher in a particularly advantageous and effective manner.
- the filter element is cylindrical or truncated, with a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical or truncated cone extending parallel or essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the flushing distributor and/or parallel or essentially parallel to the transport direction A.
- a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical or truncated cone extending parallel or essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the flushing distributor and/or parallel or essentially parallel to the transport direction A.
- the filter element is preferably arranged in the flushing distributor in such a way that one end is directly adjacent to the inlet opening of the flushing distributor. In particular, this ensures that all flushing liquid that is pumped into the flushing distributor must run through the filter element.
- a cross-sectional area of the filter element in its rear area in transport direction A, ie in an area facing the inlet opening of the flushing distributor, is preferably so large that it completely covers a cross-sectional area of the inlet opening of the flushing distributor.
- the cross-sectional area of the filter element is particularly preferably larger than the cross-sectional area of the inlet opening of the flushing distributor.
- the filter element extends from the area of the flushing distributor in which the inlet opening is positioned, or from a rear area of the flushing distributor in transport direction A, only over the last or rearmost connection opening of the flushing distributor in transport direction A, or alternatively only over the in Transport direction A last or rearmost two or only via the last or rearmost three connection openings.
- the dimensions of the filter element are therefore kept small, which on the one hand reduces costs and on the other hand keeps a pressure loss through the filter element to a very low extent, but at the same time the effects and advantageous effects described above are achieved, in particular avoided or largely avoided, that particles, in particular dirt particles, are guided into the rinsing arm located at the rear in the transport direction A, but the particles can be discharged via the rinsing arms located further forward in the transport direction A.
- the filter element is preferably an edge filter, the edge filter preferably having a longitudinal axis which extends parallel or essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the flushing distributor and/or parallel or essentially parallel to the transport direction A.
- An edge filter is particularly advantageous for the essentially linear flows present in the flushing distributor, because a linear or laminar flow can be maintained to a large extent, turbulence can be largely avoided or reduced, so that in particular a pressure loss through the filter element is avoided or can be kept to a small extent.
- the filter element designed as an edge filter is preferably tubular, preferably also tapering, or essentially tubular, for example also cylindrical, in particular and preferably primarily frustoconical, and has a plurality of gaps over its circumference, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the filter element.
- the gap width of a gap in the filter element is preferably constant in a longitudinal extension of the filter element; all gaps in the filter element are particularly preferably designed with an identical gap width.
- the filter element is designed in such a way that at least one of the gaps, preferably all gaps, increase in size in a direction opposite to transport direction A, preferably increase continuously. In a particularly advantageous manner, this prevents possible jamming of particles, so that in particular the self-cleaning effect of the filter element is further enhanced.
- the filter element is tubular or essentially tubular, with the cross-sectional area of the filter element in a cross-section perpendicular to the transport direction A and/or the diameter and/or the edge length of a cross-sectional area of the filter element perpendicular to the transport direction A in a direction opposite to the transport direction A decreases, preferably decreases continuously.
- Such a configuration of the filter element particularly supports the flow within the flushing distributor and/or within the filter element, with acceleration of the flushing liquid within the filter element in a direction opposite to the transport direction A being supported.
- the filter element includes a positioning element, preferably in the form of a centering ring.
- This positioning element is particularly preferably arranged in a front region of the filter element in the transport direction, with the positioning element being particularly preferably attached to one end of the filter element that is furthest away from the inlet opening of the flushing distributor. This ensures that the filter element is positioned securely within the flushing distributor.
- this positioning element is arranged in an area between the filter element and the walls of the flushing distributor, i.e. preferably in a radially outer area of the flushing distributor, and is designed in such a way that a flushing liquid that is already in an area of the flushing distributor that is in Transport direction A is in front of the positioning element, cannot flow back through the positioning element into an area which is behind the positioning element in the transport direction A and between the filter element and the walls of the flushing distributor.
- this prevents particles that have already passed through the filter element from entering an area in which the last or rearmost connection opening in transport direction A is located, so that this prevents particles from being transported via the flushing arm at the rear in transport direction A or alternatively via the rinsing arms located at the rear in the transport direction A, in particular the last or the last two rinsing arms located at the rear in the transport direction A become.
- This ensures in particular that the rinsing liquid, which is discharged via the rinsing arm located at the rear in the transport direction, is kept particularly free of dirt and dirt particles.
- Such a positioning element is implemented in a particularly advantageous manner by an annular or essentially annular element which, in the cross-sectional direction perpendicular to the transport direction A or perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the flushing distributor, extends completely or essentially completely from an outer area of the filter element, in particular a radial outer area of the filter element, extends to the side walls of the flushing manifold.
- the filter element is releasably and/or replaceably mounted in the flushing manifold. This has the advantage that the filter element can be replaced, for example after prolonged use. It is also possible to use different filter elements, in particular with different filter openings or sieve openings, depending on the use of the transport dishwasher or depending on the type and/or extent of the items to be cleaned , to use.
- the present invention also includes a filter element or a flush manifold with such a filter element for a conveyor dishwasher according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the filter element is designed so that it is fixed or can be fixed within the flush manifold and wherein the filter element is tubular or substantially tubular is trained.
- the filter element is particularly preferably an edge filter.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically and in a perspective view a washing zone 100 of an embodiment of a conveyor dishwasher 10 according to the invention. Dishes or items to be washed are moved in the transport direction A through the washing zone 100, for example by means of a conveyor belt, which is not shown to clarify the other components.
- the conveyor dishwasher 10 includes several wash zones, but for the sake of clarity in 1 Only one rinsing zone 100 is shown, and various other elements, such as the conveyor belt, guide devices for this, connecting devices and areas for further rinsing zones and further elements, have also been omitted in order to show the essential elements more clearly.
- the conveyor dishwasher 10 includes a tank 200, which is the 1 shown rinsing zone 100 is associated and can accommodate a rinsing liquid. Furthermore, the conveyor dishwasher 10 comprises two flushing distributors 400, an upper flushing distributor 402 and a lower flushing distributor 404, which are connected to the tank 200 via a supply line 300.
- Each of the flushing distributors 400 supplies several flushing arms 500, with the perspective view in 1 only the rinse arms 500 fed by the lower rinse manifold 404 are visible.
- Each of the rinsing arms 500 in turn has a plurality of dispensing elements 510 which, in this embodiment, are each designed as dispensing nozzles.
- the dispensing elements 510 are in this expression on the upper sides of the spray arms 500, the of the lower rinsing distributor 404, so that a rinsing liquid can be discharged upwards from the rinsing arms 500 arranged in the lower region of the rinsing zone 100, so that dishes or items to be washed that are transported through the rinsing zone 100 in transport direction A are supplied with rinsing liquid from below can be charged.
- the dispensing members are located on a lower side of the wash arms so that wash liquid can be dispensed down onto the dishes or items to be washed. The items to be washed are thus treated and washed reliably from both sides, above and below.
- FIG 2 shows schematically in a partial sectional view the in 1 shown rinsing zone 100 of the embodiment of the conveyor dishwasher 10.
- the tank 200 which is connected via a supply line 300 to the rinsing manifolds 400, both to the upper rinsing manifold 402 and to the lower rinsing manifold 404, so that a rinsing liquid in the tank 200 is pumped out of the tank 200 by means of a pump 220 and through the Supply line 300 can be pumped into flushing manifolds 400 (402 and 404).
- a total of five rinsing arms are connected to the upper rinsing manifold 402, while only three rinsing arms are connected to the lower rinsing manifold 404 in this embodiment.
- Each of the flushing distributors 402, 404 has a filter element 600, which only extends across the last connection opening 420' in transport direction A, while the other connection openings 420, a total of four remaining connection openings 420 in the upper flushing distributor and a total of two remaining connection openings 420 in the lower flushing distributor , do not lie in the area of the longitudinal extension, in the direction of transport direction A, of the filter element 600 .
- FIGS 1 and 2 shown shows a perspective view of a filter element 600 according to the invention, as in a conveyor dishwasher 10 according to the invention, in particular in a conveyor dishwasher, as in FIGS 1 and 2 shown can be used.
- the filter element 600 shown is an edge filter with an overflow function, which extends in its longitudinal direction from its one end 602, which is in installed state within the flushing manifold faces the inlet opening of the flushing manifold (see in particular 2 ), extends to its other end 604, in the installed state from its one end 602 in a direction opposite to the transport direction A and via the last or rearmost connection opening (420', see transport direction A). 2 ) of the flushing manifold 400, 402, 404 to its other end 604.
- the filter element 600 At its end 602 facing the inlet opening, the filter element 600 comprises a fastening element 660, which also serves as a positioning element, and at its end 604 facing away from the inlet opening, the filter element 600 comprises a positioning element 640.
- the fastening element 660 and the positioning element 640 have an identical one in this embodiment Outer radius so that the filter element 600 can be fixed well in a cylindrical flushing manifold 400, see in particular 4 .
- the filter element 600 has a circular cross section and is tapered, in this case frustoconical, with the diameter of the circular cross section decreasing continuously from its end 602 facing the inlet opening in the direction of the end 604 facing away from the inlet opening.
- the filter element 600 therefore has an inlet opening 612 at its end 602 facing the inlet opening (410) in the installed state, while at its other end 604 it has an outlet opening (604, see FIG figure 5 ) has, so that an overflow function is also ensured, which enables self-cleaning of the filter element 600.
- FIG. 4 12 shows a partial cross-sectional view of an upper purge manifold 402 connected to a supply line 300.
- FIG. 4 shows very clearly the positioning of the filter element 600 in this preferred embodiment, which extends from its one end, which faces an inlet opening 410 of the upper flushing distributor 402, in a direction opposite to the transport direction A to beyond the last or rearmost connection opening 420' in the transport direction A extends.
- the filter element 600 ends, in a direction opposite to the transport direction A, in front of the further connection openings 420 of the upper flushing distributor 402.
- the filter element 600 comprises a positioning element 640 which is attached in a front area of the filter element in the transport direction A, which is furthest away from the inlet opening 410 of the flushing distributor. at its other end, the rear end in transport direction A, the filter element 600 comprises a further ring-shaped element, the fastening element 660, which is also essentially ring-shaped.
- the fastening element 660 and the positioning element 640 have an identical outer diameter, so that the filter element 600 is reliably arranged in the cylindrical upper flushing manifold 402 .
- the ring-shaped positioning element 640 is designed as a ring-shaped plate that has no openings, so that no liquid whatsoever can flow from an area within the upper flushing manifold 402, which lies in front of the ring-shaped positioning element 640 in the transport direction A, into an area that is in the transport direction A is located behind the position element 640 and which is located outside the filter surface of the filter element 600, which is conical in this embodiment, without the liquid having to flow through the filter surface of the filter element 600.
- This can occasionally or partly arise from the fact that turbulence arises, although the main direction of flow of the rinsing liquid in the 4 shown embodiment runs essentially opposite to the transport direction A.
- the inlet opening 410 and the filter element 600 are designed and dimensioned in such a way that all liquid that flows from the supply line 300 into the inlet opening 410 of the flushing distributor flows into the inner area of the filter element 610, in other words, into a radially inner area of the filter element 600. This ensures that no liquid whatsoever can flow through the last or rearmost connection opening 420′ in transport direction A without passing through the filter surfaces of the filter element 600.
- figure 5 shows a plan view of the in the 3 and 4 Filter element 600 shown from the side facing inlet opening 410 when installed, as well as a partial enlargement of area Z marked with a circle.
- the ring-shaped fastening element 660 and the structure of the filter element 600 which is designed as an edge filter with a plurality of gaps 620.
- the gaps 620 have a constant gap width x, the gap width remaining constant over the longitudinal extension of each individual gap 620 and being constant in comparison between the plurality of individual gaps.
- gaps that have a gap width that increases, preferably continuously increases, in the longitudinal direction or in the direction of flow, ie in a direction opposite to the transport direction A.
