Definitions
- This invention is related with the bodywork construction of the dumper trucks used for the transportation of the construction materials, excavation and ruin waste and fine granular materials for mining in main road and off-road conditions.
- the invention is related especially with the construction including the bodywork front panel design, general reinforcement and isolation preparation of the aluminum box type dumper trucks.
- the currently common vehicle-dumper systems consist of a floor surface, two side surface, one gable wall and one rear part capable of filling the discharge gap in case of different constructions.
- front wall sheets are integrated with the side panel constructions, while a corner reinforcement has been used to join the side panel and the front wall.
- a welding method is used to weld those corner reinforcements with the front wall sheet.
- a welding method is used to weld the front corner reinforcements with the side panel.
- Welding method is always a necessity with the current technique, because the designs in this technical consist of a front panel sheet, a front panel reinforcement and a side panel sheet. If the reinforcement sheet is integrated to the front wall sheet, welding method will no longer be a necessity.
- the front wall sheet, side panel profile and the front king post designs are not geometrically supporting each other in bearings. Which in turn, causes cracks and after sale claims. This in turn increases operating and maintenance costs and reduces second-hand car prices. Additionally, as there is not any geometrical structures and support in bearings arrangement for the positioning, supporting and support in bearings of the isolation sheets of the isolated cars, the positioning of those parts can be made with inappropriate welding methods with undesired dimension tolerances. Which is why welding defects and production faults can occur.
- the document no EP3210860A1 describes how to connect a commercial vehicle’s front, side, rear, ceiling and even preferably floor panels by using a frame, connection profiles, towing springs and grooves.
- An adhesive has been used to connect the grooves to the threads.
- the profiles preferably include hinges.
- the document describes a connection via an adhesive instead of a stronger connection by welding. This is where our invention differentiates.
- the invention developed in a response to a need in the market is related with the bodywork construction of the dumper trucks, and aims to solve the above mentioned negativities.
- the object of the invention is to transport the construction materials, excavation and ruin wastes and fine granular materials for mining in main road and off-road conditions.
- Another object of the invention is to develop a dumper truck with lower workmanship and consumable costs, having higher abrasion and impact resistance with an improved bodywork construction.

- Figure -4 King post section view of the dumper truck
- FIG -5 Front wall sheet perspective view of the dumper truck
- the dumper truck (1 ) with developed bodywork construction subject to the invention is mainly;
- At least one side panel profile (4) carrying the horizontal forces of the load at the side A front wall sheet (5) making the vessel a closed vessel by covering the front part of the dumper vessel (2) and a front wall sheet (5) preventing the load from pouring out,
- a wall sheet tie piece (4.1 ) which is the component of the side panel profile and is used for reinforcement
- At least one front king post profile (8) supporting each other in bearings the front wall sheet (5) and the side panel profile (4) and joining them geometrically,
- a preferred application for the invention is to create an aluminum box type vehicle with a dumper truck
- the aluminum box type dumper vessel (2) is manufactured by welding the side panel profile (4), front wall sheet (5), front wall insulation sheet (7) and the front king post profile (8) components.
- the side panel profile (4) is created by longitudinally click-fitting in the sides of the dumper vessel (2).
- the isolation layer (6) is located between vehicle front wall sheet (5) and the insulation sheet (7).
- the front king post profile (8) includes front wall sheet bearing area (8.1 ), insulation sheet bearing area (8.2) and front wall sheet welding bevel (8.3)
- the side panel profile (4) includes the side wall sheet tie piece (4.1 ).
- the front wall sheet (5) includes the front wall sheet angled bending (5.1 ).
- the front wall sheet (5) and the front king post profile (8) are click-fitted to each other by geometrically supporting in bearings the front wall sheet bearing area (8.1 ).
- the front wall sheet (5) and the front king post profile (8) are fitted by corner welding on the welding gap formed by the front wall sheet welding bevel (8.3).
- the front wall insulation sheet (7) and the front king post profile (8) are click-fitted to each other by geometrically supporting in bearings the insulation sheet bearing area (8.2).
- the front wall insulation layer (6) is used at the pool area between the front wall sheet (5) and the insulation sheet (7), in order to prevent cooling down hot materials such as asphalt and to form an obstacle to the heat bridges.
- the horizontal contact point of the side wall sheet tie piece (4.1 ) located at the side panel profile (4) and the front wall sheet angled bending (5.1 ) located at the front wall sheet (5) to the side panel profile (4) are located at the same line.
- the strength needed to support the load carried will be offered by the tete- a-tete position of these two structures.
- the alignment of the contact point between the front wall sheet angled bending (5.1 ) and the side panel profile (4) and the alignment of the side wall sheet tie piece (4.1 ) is the same point.
- the front wall sheet and the front wall reinforcement can be designed as one-piece, thus there will be no longer need for any welding operation. Which is why, the quality problems arising from the incorrect welding processes applied after sales will be prevented.
- the labor and consumable welding gas, welding rod
- the labor and consumable will be lower compared to the competitor products, as the welding processes will decrease.
- the side panel profile (4), the front king post profile (8) and the front wall sheet (5) will geometrically support in bearings each other, thus the quality problems will be prevented.
- any dimensional and methodological quality problems arising from the welding of the insulation sheet (7) to the front wall sheet (5) will be prevented thanks to the pre-equipment of insulation.
- front wall sheet (5), front king post profile (8) and the side panel profile (4) will geometrically support in bearings each other, the abrasion and impact resistant will increase and as a result the product will be more resistant compared to the competitors. Also, wrong positioning due to the manufacturing defects and dimensional quality problems will be prevented.
