Description

The invention relates to a holding device for cards and/or notes according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

A holding device whose housing can be produced using a two-component casting process, but where different plastics are used for the housing and a clamp, is from the DE 20 2017 105 482 U1 known. DE 20 2017 105482 U1 discloses a holding device for cards and/or bills, containing an upwardly open housing which has a base, the base having upwardly projecting side webs arranged at a distance from one another, the housing having at least one lubricant. The US 8,464,865 B1 discloses a card holder that may be constructed of metal or plastic and held together by screws or adhesive or, alternatively, injection molded. The US 2007/0 089 999 A1 teaches using a steel mold, melting polycarbonate pellets, and injecting them into that mold to create a card holder.

From the EP 2 773 235 B1 A holding device is known which enables cards, in particular credit cards and/or banknotes, to be stored in a functional manner, and can be easily removed from the holding device.

This holding device requires little material and has a low overall weight. Furthermore, the known holding device enables the safe storage of both individual cards and/or notes as well as a large number of them.

The known holding device has side webs arranged parallel to one another, between which cards are stacked, with a clamp acting on the cards from above. Banknotes can be arranged between the clip and the cards.

Cards, especially credit cards or cards for topping up with money or so-called loyalty points, increasingly have sensitive magnetic stripes, chips or laminates that must be treated as gently as possible.

Banknotes, especially banknotes outside the EU, can also be made of very thin paper and tend to tear, especially after prolonged use.

Against this background, there is a need to accommodate as many types of cards and/or banknotes as possible in the holding device in a way that is as gentle on materials and reliable as possible over the long term.

Furthermore, there is a need to make the housing of the holding device as stable as possible in order to avoid material fatigue of the housing as much as possible.

There is also a need to design the housing as individually as possible in order to adapt it to the types of cards and/or banknotes to be accommodated.

Ultimately, there is a need to be able to design the feel, weight and optical properties of the housing as individually as possible.

The invention is therefore based on the object of producing a housing for a holding device for cards and/or banknotes without any problems and thereby ensuring that the cards and/or banknotes to be inserted are protected as much as possible.

This problem is solved in accordance with the features specified in claim 1.

According to the invention, the housing is produced by powder injection molding and has at least one lubricant.

According to the invention, it has been recognized that inorganic materials such as metals or ceramics can be processed by powder injection molding. A housing that is essentially made entirely of inorganic material can be shaped individually in three dimensions relatively easily and can be modified with regard to its physical properties, its roughness and/or its feel in such a way that cards and/or bills are gently received.

By providing a lubricant on a housing, cards and/or banknotes can also be protected, regardless of the material from which the housing is made. For example, if the housing is made of a rough plastic, lubricants can protect cards and/or banknotes.

If the housing is made of a relatively rough injection molded inorganic material, lubricants can also protect the cards and/or bills.

The housing could have metal or be made of metal. The housing can advantageously be cast from a metal with plastic. The plastic is removed after casting, leaving a pure cast metal housing. The housing could be manufactured by metal powder injection molding (MIM). Titanium could be used as a metal. Titanium causes almost no allergic reactions in the user of the holding device.

The housing could have a ceramic or consist of a ceramic. The housing can advantageously be cast from a ceramic with plastic. The plastic is removed after casting, resulting in a pure cast ceramic housing. The housing could be manufactured by ceramic powder injection molding (CIM).

The lubricant is assigned to the bottom of the housing and its lubricating surface is accessible from above so that a credit card can slide on the lubricant when inserted into the housing. The card does not slide directly on the floor and is therefore protected if the material of the housing is rough.

However, extruded separate elements which are shaped like a dome, like a rounded head or like a lens are preferred. PA6 or polycarbonate are conceivable materials for the lubricants. The coefficient of friction of the lubricant material may be greater than that of metal or ceramic, but there will still be no damage to the laminate of a card as it slides on the lubricant.

The lubricant could be at least partially accommodated in a recess or recess in the base, so that its lubricating surface at least partially protrudes from the base and/or is at least partially lower than the base. The lubricant can advantageously be glued as a separate part into a kind of crater in the ground or fixed in some other way. If the lubricant is lower than the ground, for example if the base of the recess or depression is oblique or inclined The lubricants do not become crumbly or rejected due to the constant insertion.

The lubricant could have its lubricating surface protrude from the floor or protrude from a recess or recess in the floor so that the lubricating surface is inclined towards the floor and forms a ramp. A ramp is advantageously formed and a card can rest against a clamp under better tension. The ramp also makes it easier to insert a card.

Multiple lubricants could be provided. An improvement in the sliding effect is advantageously achieved.

Several lubricants could be provided, with the lubricating surface of a lubricant at the rear in the insertion direction having a higher coefficient of friction than the lubricating surface of a lubricant at the front in the insertion direction. Advantageously, when a card is removed, it is initially more firmly fixed and the further it is pushed out, the less fixed it becomes.

The lubricant could be made of a plastic, a textile material, leather or artificial leather. Textiles such as felt plugs are advantageously inexpensive. Higher quality lubricants may feature leather or synthetic leather.

A clip or several plastic clips could be assigned to the housing. Alternatively or additionally, one or more clips could be arranged in the housing in a reversibly removable manner. The holding device is advantageously designed in two parts, namely the housing made of an inorganic material and the clip made of made of plastic. Advantageously, a clip can be used as a replacement part, regardless of the material it is made of. If the clip is fixed with hot glue, the user can remove the used clip themselves by heating the inorganic casing. Then a clamp can be easily replaced.

A clip could have at least one insertion tongue for insertion into a slot in the housing, with a recess being formed in the insertion tongue. Struts or ribs could be provided in the slots, which extend from one longitudinal wall of one slot to the opposite one. The clip could have two recesses in its two insertion tongues in order to accommodate or encompass these struts or ribs when it is inserted into the slots.

The same applies to longer grooves into which a cover is inserted, for example. The cover can also have corresponding recesses in order to encompass struts or ribs.

The struts or ribs allow the longitudinal walls of a slot or a groove to have thinner wall thicknesses. Struts or ribs are preferred means of keeping slots or grooves straight during powder injection molding and to avoid deformation of the slots or grooves.

The housing could be made of or have a precious metal. The holding device can advantageously be made from a high-quality metal. All you need is a plaster mold.

The side webs could, together with the base, at least in sections form an insertion compartment, which has an insertion width at least in sections along a defined clamping length is larger than 52 mm and smaller than 53.98 mm. By falling below the usual credit card width, the cards are clamped uniformly at least along the clamping length while they are inserted into the housing. Even after prolonged use, the housing can still develop a clamping force, even if the material of the housing is fatigued or expanded.

If a clamp were assigned to the housing, this would have to exert significantly less spring force in the direction of the cards in order to fix them in the housing, because their lateral clamping already effects a fixation. A relatively weak clip would also protect sensitive paper money and prevent it from tearing. Chips, laminates and magnetic strips on cards would also be spared.

If a clamp has to exert less clamping force, it will wear and fatigue less. This is due to the fact that a plastic has to have a lower modulus of elasticity. Plastics with a lower modulus of elasticity are less likely to fatigue and wear out.

The insertion width could widen upwards. As a result, cards could easily move upwards if they were oversized, which would interfere with insertion.

Against this background, the insertion width could be in an upper range between 54 and 54.2 mm and/or expand from 53.98 mm to a value that is in the range between 54 mm and 54.2 mm. This would ensure that standard credit cards can be accepted without any problems and still be securely secured.

The clamping length could be in the range of 3mm to 85.6mm. These length ranges have proven to be useful in order to ensure sufficient to effect lateral fixation and clamping of cards. A slightly longer clamping length of 6 mm to 85.6 mm is preferred, particularly preferably a long clamping length of 10 mm to 85.6 mm.

The inner contact surfaces of the side webs could be arranged parallel to one another at least along the clamping length. As a result, cards are held clamped over a certain height by the side bars alone.

The inner contact surfaces of the side webs could be shaped or inclined in such a way that a card inserted into the housing is bulged upwards or downwards or received at an angle relative to the floor. This means that a card is held in the housing in a force-fitting manner with slight deformation.

The floor or part of the floor could be reversibly deformable at least in sections and/or curved or curved under prestress. This allows part of the base to give way and change shape to compensate for, reduce or prevent excessive clamping of a card being inserted.

The same could be achieved if a connecting web of the housing were at least partially reversibly deformable and/or curved or curved while under prestress.

The housing could be manufactured using a two-component casting process. As a result, individual areas or parts of the housing, in particular a bracket thereof, can be made from different materials with different moduli of elasticity. For example, a clip can be made from a relatively elastic plastic and the rest of the housing from a relatively stiff plastic.

The holding device is characterized by a simple construction and enables cards and/or banknotes to be stored in a functional manner, with insertion and removal being easy.

A holding device of the type described here could have one or more clamps to press cards and/or banknotes from above against the floor.

At least one clamp could have its clamping force supported by a separate spring means. This means that a clamp can exert sufficient spring force towards the floor, even if the material shows signs of fatigue.

The separate spring means could be designed as a leaf spring, spiral spring or spring clip. Such spring means are inexpensive and easy to process.

The housing could be formed in one piece, and the clip could preferably be an integral part of the same. The holding device is advantageously designed as a case and is used to store cards, such as credit cards or check cards, in particular in the usual so-called credit card format, as well as banknotes, documents, notes or the like.

By means of the clamp or clamps, both the bills and the cards are clamped in the housing, with additional means for holding the cards separately not being necessary, but can be provided.

The housing has two side bars that protrude from the floor and are opposite one another, between which the card or cards can be fixed. Provided there are no cards or bills in the case are arranged, the bracket or brackets extend at least approximately to the bottom of the housing.

The base preferably contains a recess through which the at least one resilient clip reaches or can reach through as long as there are no cards or bills in the holding device. The area above the base and the webs is free and there is no upper part, so that the clip extends at least to the base and/or the recess in the base and can preferably reach at least partially through the recess.

When a card and/or a note is inserted, the spring-elastic clamp is raised and pre-tensioned, so that only a single card is subsequently held securely or clamped in the housing due to the pre-tension.

The dimension of the recess is preferably set so large that the card or cards can be easily moved with two fingers or thumbs in such a way that the desired card is easily accessible and can be removed.

Furthermore, the recess preferably has a significantly larger width than the clip or clips, in such a way that a user can reach through with a finger, for example, on at least one side or in the area of the tip of the clip. In this way, the biasing force exerted on the cards by means of the clamp or clamps can be minimized and the desired card can be easily removed from the housing.

The side bars mentioned advantageously have different heights in such a way that bills or even larger cards can be stored than due to the distance between them Side bars, such as business cards, can protrude beyond the shorter side bar and are nevertheless securely fixed.

In a special embodiment of the invention, a lid, in particular a flexible lid, is additionally provided, which is attached to one of the side webs mentioned or to a connecting web thereof and can also be replaced if necessary.

Furthermore, the housing preferably contains at least one indentation to make it easier to insert or remove cards and/or bills.

Fig. 1a shows a holding device for cards and / or notes, containing an upwardly open housing 2, which has a base 6, the base 6 having upwardly projecting and spaced-apart side webs 10, 12.

A clip 4 made of plastic can be assigned to the housing 2. The clamp 4 can be arranged in the housing 2 in a reversibly removable manner. The clip 4 can be inserted into slots 117 provided for this purpose in the housing 2.

The housing 2 is made of metal. The housing 2 specifically consists of a precious metal. The housing 2 is manufactured by powder injection molding.

In the example shown, the housing 2 has three lubricants 113, 113a, 113b. The lubricants 113, 113a, 113b function as sliding bearings and are circular and/or lens-shaped.

Fig. 1b shows a modification of the housing 2 according to Fig. 1a , whereby two pin-like stop extensions 116 are provided in the connection area of the clamp 4, which protrude upwards. The pin-like stop extensions 116 protrude with one free end upwards, i.e. away from the floor 6. The stop extensions 116 ensure that cards remain stacked on top of each other and are not displaced laterally outward by a wall thickness or another distance.

A further lubricant 113' can be at least partially accommodated in a substantially rectangular recess 115' or depression in the base 6. This is shown by the arrow. In the inserted state, its sliding surface 114 'protrudes at least partially from the floor 6 and is at least partially lower than the floor 6.

The lubricant 113' protrudes with its lubricating surface 114' from the floor 6 and out of the recess 115' of the floor 6 in such a way that the surface 114' is inclined towards the floor 6 and forms a ramp. The bottom of the recess 115' is inclined relative to the floor 6, so that the lubricant 113' also comes to rest in the recess 115' at an incline. A lens-like curved lubricant 113' is shown which is cut from an extrusion profile.

Fig. 1c shows that the bridge-like lubricant 113" is trapezoidal in cross section. It has two opposite ramps 118, which are inclined relative to a straight surface 119. The ramps 118 and the straight surface 119 form the sliding surface 114" of the lubricant 113".

The recesses 115, 115', 115" are essentially designed as blind holes. In Fig. 1c is shown at the top left that a recess 115‴ has a straight base that is not inclined relative to the ground.

In the corner areas of the base of the recess 115" there are production-related radii which would lift the lubricant 113" if it was glued to the base. Therefore, chamfers 121 are formed on the laterally outer edges of the lubricant, which face the bottom 6.

The chamfers 121 are essentially aligned with the radii 120 and accommodate them, so that the lubricant 113" with its base surface 122 lies flat against the bottom of the recess 115" and can be glued to it.

Furthermore, grooves 123 are provided on the base surface 122 of the lubricant 113". Adhesive can easily penetrate into these grooves 123.

The lubricant 113" is designed as an extruded profile and cut to length to approximately 2 mm. The lubricant 113" can be made of a very soft plastic. Such plastics have relatively high coefficients of friction and good flow properties.

Fig. 1d shows a holding device for cards and/or banknotes, containing a further upwardly open housing 2, which has a base 6, wherein the bottom 6 has side webs 10, 12 which project upwards and are arranged at a distance from one another.

The side webs 10, 12, together with the base 6, form at least in sections an upwardly open insertion compartment or a type of upwardly open insertion compartment, which has, at least in sections, an insertion width E along a defined clamping length K, which is greater than 52 mm and smaller than 53 .98 mm.

The insertion width E widens continuously in the upward direction. The insertion width E is in an upper range between 54 and 54.2 mm and continuously widens from 53.98 mm to a value that is in the range between 54 mm and 54.2 mm.

The clamping length K is in the range 3 mm to 85.6 mm.

The inner contact surfaces 10a, 12b of the side webs 10, 12 can be arranged parallel to one another in a lower region along the clamping length K, as shown, for example, in Fig. 1 is shown.

The inner contact surfaces 10a, 12b of the side webs 10, 12 are in Fig. 1c shaped or inclined in such a way that a card inserted into the housing 2 is preferably bulged upwards or received at an angle relative to the base 6.

The bottom 6 is reversibly deformable at least in sections and is curved or arched under prestress. Specifically, the front base part 18 and a rear connecting web 14 of the housing 2 are reversibly deformable and curved or curved under prestress.

Fig. 1e shows that a further clamp 4 has at least one insertion tongue 4a for insertion into a slot 117 of the housing 2, an arcuate recess 4b being formed in the insertion tongue 4a. Struts or ribs 124 are provided in the slots 117, which extend from one longitudinal wall of a slot 117 to the opposite one. The bracket 4 has two recesses 4b in its two insertion tongues 4a in order to accommodate or grip around these struts or ribs 124 when they is inserted into the slots 117. The struts or ribs 124 allow the longitudinal walls of a slot 117 to have thinner wall thicknesses. It is also shown that struts or ribs 124 are also arranged in a longer groove 78 or in a longer free space into which, for example, a cover can be inserted.

In the Fig. 1 Holding device shown contains a further housing 2 and a single clamp 4 connected to it, in particular integrally. The holding device and / or the case preferably consists of a resilient plastic, such as PES or PSU and / or plastics with high processing temperatures and / or high-temperature-resistant plastics , which have a low tendency to creep when permanently deformed. The plastics used can advantageously be reinforced with fibers, in particular with carbon fibers. Other plastics can also be provided, such as POM, ABS, PA (filled with glass fibers or glass balls) or the like.

Alternatively, the holding device can be made of sufficiently resilient metal, such as stainless steel in particular, with the spring elasticity of the clip 4 and the overall stability being specified, in particular by predetermined dimensioning of the thickness of the optional clip 4 but also of the housing 2. The housing 2 is in the form of a frame formed and contains a base 6, in which a recess 8 is advantageously provided, as well as a first side web 10 and, opposite this, a second side web 12, which are connected via a connecting web 14. However, there is no web opposite the connecting web 14, so that at this end, which is hereinafter referred to as the front end 16, there is only the front base part 18, over which cards are inserted into the housing 2 between the opposite side webs 10, 12 can. In an alternative special embodiment, the front base part 18 can also be omitted. The two side webs 10, 12 are at a distance from one another which is essentially the same size, expediently a small amount larger than the width of conventional credit cards, check cards or the like. The side webs 10, 12 and the connecting web 14 are essentially U-shaped and are arranged at least approximately orthogonally to the base 6.

Above the base 6 and the side webs 12, 14 there is a free space such that the clip 4 can reach at least as far as the recess 8 and can preferably at least partially pass through it. It should be expressly stated here that for the exemplary embodiments with two brackets to be explained, the following statements regarding one bracket also apply analogously to the exemplary embodiments with two brackets. As long as there are neither cards nor notes in the housing, the clip 4 passes through the recess 8.

The recess 8 takes up a significant part of the total area of the base 6, preferably considerably larger than half of the total area of the base 6, which is defined by the said webs 10, 12, 14 and the outer or front edge 20 of the base part 18 is. The recess 8, which is also referred to as a window, is preferably this large and/or freely specified that a user can reach through with two thumbs next to each other and stack the cards one after the other or remove them from the holding device or the case. This advantageously makes the search for the “right card” easier, since in particular the cards that have been pushed to the side can still be moved around and can be easily pushed back into the holding device or the case and/or easily returned.

Due to the given large design of the recess 8, the card can be moved not only with one thumb or finger, but with two thumbs or fingers. The cards can be pushed or pressed and/or drawn at the same time. This can be done until the desired card is visible, especially at the top, and can be removed from below on the ejection side and/or at the front end.

The front edge 20 is preferably rounded and/or curved so that cards can be inserted easily. The lateral base part 22, from which the first side web 10 protrudes upwards according to the drawing, expediently has a width which is advantageously smaller than the height 24 of the first side web 10. The lateral base part assigned to the second side web 12 expediently has essentially the same width Width like the side bottom part 22. The height 26 of the second side web 12 is smaller than the height 24 by a predetermined amount, as will be explained in more detail below.

Preferably, however, there is no base part in the area of the connecting web 14. Due to this asymmetrical design of the side webs 10, 12, cards with a greater width than specified by the distance between the side webs can advantageously be stored in the housing.

The connecting web 14 is also an end stop for inserted cards. The clip 4 is essentially flat and has a free end 36 with a tip 38 that projects upwards with respect to the base. The clip 4 is designed and/or arranged in such a way and/or has a length relative to the connecting web 14 such that it engages in the recess 8, penetrates the recess 8 over a significant part of its total length and protrudes beyond the underside of the base 6 .

The pressure or force of the clamp 4 is built up not only through the bending ability of the two clamp parts 30, 32, but also through torsion of the connecting web 14. Due to the different heights of the two side webs 10, 12, the banknotes 52 or documents or the like can also rest on the upper edge of the lower second side web 12 and also protrude laterally from the housing 2 with a projection 58. The higher side bar 10 is preferably designed such that essentially ten cards are well guided, avoiding that the cards 50 are pressed over the lower side bar 10.

The lower side bar 12 is advantageously designed in such a way that, in the case of fewer cards, banknotes or documents or the like, they can protrude laterally without being bulky. Due to the asymmetrical design of the side webs 10, 12 and therefore of the housing 2, safe storage of the notes 52 or documents or the like and/or the cards 50 is achieved.

To remove one or more cards 50 from the stack shown, a user can press from the underside of the housing 2 through the recess 8 in the base 6 with one finger, preferably with two fingers or both thumbs, towards the clip 4. Due to the flexibility of the housing 2 and in particular its side webs 10, 12 with the card catches designed as undercuts 62, the cards can be easily inserted into or removed from the housing 2.

Fig. 7 and 8 show the holding device with the housing 2, the clamp 4 and the recess 8, where in Fig. 7 the bottom part 23, which is assigned to the side web 12, is shown and according to Fig. 8 the inserted cards 50 and the bills 52 can be seen again.

The holding device meets the practical requirements and/or tasks with regard to easy handling for storing cards and/or banknotes with little design effort, with functionally reliable recording as well as easy removal of the same being achieved. Furthermore, the holding device is advantageously characterized by low weight and/or low material expenditure.

Of particular importance is the asymmetrical design of the housing 2 and/or the design of the side webs 10, 12 mentioned with different heights, so that both cards and banknotes or the like are held securely by means of the clamp 4 and can be easily removed from the holding device if necessary can be.

Fig. 9 to 11 show special embodiments of the invention, according to which the holding device and/or the case has a lid 68. When closed, the lid 68 is located above the at least one clip 4 and any inserted cards and/or bills.

The flexible cover 68 contains at least one connecting body 70 and, corresponding to this, the housing 2 has at least one connecting element 72, in particular on the second side web 12.

In an alternative embodiment, according to Fig. 11 the cover 68 can be inserted into the free space 78 by means of the tab 74 and fixed there with respect to the housing 2, for example inserted and/or clamped and/or glued. In such a configuration, the connecting bodies 70 or the connecting bodies 72 are not intended for permanent connection, but only for securing the cover 68 in the closed state.

If a user wants to remove cards or bills from the holding device or the case, he can detach the connecting body or bodies 70 from the connecting element or elements 72 and swing the lid 68 away, the connection of the tab 74 being retained in the free space 78. Fig. 12 and 13 show an exemplary embodiment, the housing 2 of which contains the above-mentioned further web 76 for receiving the tab and / or the side part 74 of the flexible lid 68. Holding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one clip (4) is provided which engages from above into the upwardly open housing (2), wherein, if neither cards nor bank notes are placed in the housing (2), the at least one clip (4) is situated partially between the side members (10, 12) and extends with a free end (36) at least approximately as far as the base (6) .
