  • solution - active - are known in the art, such as systems which contain water sprinklers.
  • Such sprinklers may be of various types, and are used to protect the cabin of a fire truck and other vital parts of the truck like the engine, electric, fuel and hydraulic systems. These systems are very sensitive to the elements, namely wind, which can lead to water loss in irrelevant directions. Furthermore, direct contact of water with the heat source leads to a high evaporation rate associated to little impact in temperature reduction inside the asset to be protected.

Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte au domaine de la protection thermique, en particulier à des dispositifs actifs pour la protection de biens tels que des véhicules de lutte anti-incendie. Un objet de la présente invention est un appareil (1) de protection thermique active d'un bien, un tel appareil (1) comprenant une couverture souple (2), un système de distribution de liquide et une pluralité de gicleurs (3) reliés audit système de distribution de liquide, la couverture (2) ayant un premier côté et un second côté, le premier côté comprenant un matériau ayant des propriétés de réflexion de flux de rayonnement et la pluralité de gicleurs (3) étant agencés de manière adjacente aux seconds gicleurs latéraux (3) et de telle sorte que, lors de l'aspersion d'un liquide, un tel liquide est directement pulvérisé sur le second côté de la couverture (2). Un tel appareil (1) assure une protection efficace contre la chaleur rayonnante et par convection, permettant de s'assurer qu'un liquide est arrosé sous la couverture (2), ce qui permet d'abaisser la température à l'intérieur de la couverture (2).
