Definitions
- the present invention relates to a holder for retaining an object, such as a battery- operated drilling or screw tool to a person, wherein the holder comprises a plate part with a first main surface and an opposite second main surface as well as a first end and an opposite second end, wherein the holder further comprises a first part for retaining to a person's clothes and a second part for retaining the object, wherein the first part and the second part are placed on a respective main surface of the plate part, wherein the second part at least comprises a clip leg with a fixed part firmly connected to the first main surface of the plate part in an area at the second end of the plate part and with a free end closer to the first end of the plate part.
- the invention furthermore relates to a tool holder kit as well as the use of a holder as part of a tool holder kit for retaining a tool to a person.
- a tool holder of the above-mentioned kind for retaining a tool to a person wherein the tool holder comprises a first part for retaining to a person by means of a belt, which the person wears around the waist, and a second part for retaining a tool.
- the drawback is that the known tool holder cannot be used in a reliable way without use of a belt respectively that the attachment of the tool holder to a person's clothes/garments is not sufficiently efficient in certain cases.
- the object of this invention is to allow use of the holder in connection with belts and/or in connection with pockets, waistbands and the like, which makes it much more flexible and user-friendly.
- the object stated above is obtained with a holder as described initially and as described in the preamble of claim 1 , wherein the first part comprises at least two clip legs, each with a fixed part firmly connected to the second main surface of the plate part in an area at the first end of the plate part and with a free end closer to the second end of the plate part, and wherein the plate part of the holder on at least the second main surface further comprises a depression on a level with each of the first part's clip legs, such as for accommodation of a garment, for instance part of a pocket or a belt, between the plate part and the first part's clip legs, for retaining the holder on a person.
- the term ’’depression” can be understood to mean an area of the plate part with reduced thickness or - as appears from below - an area of the plate part, where the material has been removed to create a depression in the form of a through-going opening.
- the at least one clip leg of the second part is firmly connected to the plate part in an area at the second end of the plate part at a larger angle than the at least two clip legs of the first part are firmly connected to the plate part in an area at the first end of the plate part. This ensures that the one clip leg can more easily hold the intermediary member and thus keep the tool stable when the intermediary member is completely pressed down on the clip leg.
- the at least two clip legs of the first part ensure a better backstop when the fabric/belt is turned over the fixed intermediary piece, and thus the holder can also be used over two small pockets or between two large ones.
- the present invention also relates to a holder, wherein the first part's clip legs and the second part's clip leg are oriented in opposite directions and substantially parallel and in a third aspect also a holder, where the first part's clip legs are located offset towards said first end and on either side of the clip leg of the second part.
- the present invention also relates to a holder, wherein the distance between the clip leg of the second part and the plate part is larger in the area, where the clip leg is firmly connected to the plate part than the distance at least at one position from the free end of the clip leg to the fixed part of the clip leg, and where the distance between the clip legs of the first part and the plate part is larger in the area where the clip legs are firmly connected to the plate part than the distance at least at one position from the free ends of the clip legs to the fixed parts of the clip legs.
- the present invention also relates to a holder, wherein the plate part of the holder on at least the second main surface further comprises barbs, in this text also referred to as jagged protrusions, on at least one main surface of a depression to extend a material's or belt's way through the holder, and wherein the jagged protrusions are directed towards the area, where the clip legs are firmly connected to the plate part, and in a sixth aspect also a holder, wherein the clip legs of the holder's first part further comprises jagged protrusions on at least the backside of the clip legs that faces the plate part of the holder and wherein the jagged protrusions are directed towards the area, where the clip legs are firmly connected to the plate part.
- the clip legs of the holder's first part further comprises jagged protrusions on at least the backside of the clip legs that faces the plate part of the holder and wherein the jagged protrusions are directed towards the area, where the clip legs are firmly connected to the plate part.
- the present invention also relates to a holder kit, wherein at least one of the depression(s) of the second main surface is formed by a through- going hole on a level with each of the clip legs of the first part. This makes it possible, via the clip legs, to press on a belt or pocket material without resistance from the bottom of a depression formed as a recess.
- the present invention also relates to a tool holder kit, wherein the tool holder kit moreover comprises an intermediary member with a first part for attachment on a tool and with a second part for retaining the intermediary member to the clip leg of the holder's second part.
- the present invention furthermore relates to use of a tool holder as part of a tool holder kit for retaining a tool to a person.

- Fig. 1 1 shows the holder viewed in a cross section.
- identical or corresponding elements will have the same reference numerals in the different figures. Thus, there will not be given an explanation of all details in connection with each figure/embodiment.
- Fig. 1 shows the holder 1 with a plate part 2, viewed against the plate part's 2 first main surface 3, where the holder comprises a proximal first end 4 and a distal second end 5 and where the holder 1 also comprises a first part, generally designated with the number 6, to be fixed to a person's garment and a second part 7 for retaining a tool.
- the first part 6 and the second part 7 are each placed on the main surfaces 3, 16 of the plate part 2, where the second part 7 comprises a clip leg 8 with a fixed part 9 connected to the plate part 2 in an area at the second end 5 of the plate part and with a free end 10 located closer to the plate part's first end 4, while the first part 6 has two clip legs 1 1 each with a fixed part 12 connected to the plate part 2 in a area at the plate part's first end 4 and a with a free end 13 located closer to the plate part's second end 5.
- first part's clip legs 1 1 with free ends 13 and the second part's clip leg 8 are opposing, with sides that are substantially parallel. It also appears that the first part's clip legs 1 1 are situated offset upwards on each side of the second part's 7 clip leg 8.
- the clip legs 8, 1 1 mentioned in this text are preferably elastically bendable/springy, which is understood to mean that by impact they can be inflected outwards in the direction from the plate part 2, preferably so that their respective fee ends 10, 13 are brought from an initial position to a position, in which they are located at a larger distance from the plate part's 2 respective main surfaces 3, 16 than in the initial position.
- the holder's plate part 2 has a depression 14 - shown as an elongated through-going hole 24 - on a level with each clip leg 1 1 for accommodation in the above-mentioned initial position of at least the clip legs' 1 1 free ends 13.
- a material such as a belt, which constitutes a person's garment and to which the holder is attached, at its abutment with the backside of the clip legs 1 1 visible in Fig. 3 into the depression 14, as shown in Fig. 8 and Fig. 10.
- the plate part 2 has an intermediate piece 19 between the depressions 14, which intermediate piece 19, as most clearly shown in Fig. 4, comprises jagged, barb-like protrusions 18, which are preferably oriented towards the area, where the first part's 6 clip legs 1 1 are firmly connected to the plate part 2, see Fig. 4.
- the above-mentioned material of the clip legs 1 1 are forced into significant abutment with the protrusions 18 on the intermediate piece 19 and also with any further protrusions 18 arranged on the other side of the depressions 14.
- the clip legs 1 1 of the holder's first part 6 preferably also have jagged barb-like protrusions 15 on at least the above- mentioned backside, preferably oriented towards the area, in which the clip legs 1 1 are firmly connected to the plate part 2.
- These barb-like protrusions 15 work, just as the other protrusions 18, to offset easy release by displacement of the holder from the material of the garment.
- the holder 1 shows the holder 1 viewed in perspective from the first main surface 3, where it can be seen that the distance between the clip legs 1 1 and the plate part 2 is larger in the area where the clip legs 1 1 are connected to the plate part 2 than the distance at least at a point from the free ends 13 of the clip legs to the firmly connected ends 12 of the clip legs.
- Fig. 3 shows the holder viewed from the second main surface 16, where it can also be seen that the holder's plate part 2 may have a depression 17, as shown as a through-going elongated hole 25, for accommodation of at least part of the clip leg 8 at its free end 10, so that the attached tool in an efficient manner cannot fall off or out of engagement when it is attached to the holder 1 , in that a relatively strong force needs to be applied to the clip leg 8 to provide a sufficient deflection for insertion/removal of an intermediary member mounted on a tool, see below.
- the holder's plate part 2 on the second main surface 16 as mentioned further comprises protrusions 18 next to the first part's depression 14/through-going holes 24 as well as on the intermediate piece 19 between the holes 24 to better create friction and thus increase the retaining to for instance a belt.
- Fig. 4 shows the holder 1 viewed in perspective, viewed against the second main surface 16.
- Fig. 5 shows the above-mentioned intermediary member 20 with a first part 21 attached to a tool 26, here shown as a power drill 26, and with a second part 22, here shown as an elongated through-going recess, for retaining the intermediary member 20 to the holder's second part's clip leg 8, by the clip leg 8 being inflected outwards manually from the initial position shown in Fig. 2 and subsequently is inserted in the through-going recess, in principle in the same way as described in DK172615B1 .
- Fig. 6 shows a tool holder kit 23 according to the invention, viewed against the first main surface 3 of the holder 1 shown in Fig. 1 , and where the intermediary member 20 is retained to the clip leg 8.
- Fig. 7 shows the tool holder kit 23 in Fig. 6 viewed in perspective.
- Fig. 8 shows the tool holder 1 in the same position as in Fig. 1 , but where the tool holder 1 is attached to a belt/a band 27.
- Fig. 9 shows the holder 1 in the same position as in Fig. 3, but where the holder 1 is attached to a belt/a band 27.
- the belt/band 27 covers the jagged protrusions 18 next to the first part's holes 24 and on the intermediate piece 19 between the holes 24, and the belt/band 27 thus twists in and out, first behind one of the clip legs 1 1 , over the protrusions 18 on the intermediate piece 19 and so on, which leads to increased friction and thus also further retains the attachment to the belt/band 27.
- Fig. 10 shows the holder 1 attached to a pocket 28, where the function is the same as described under Fig. 9.
- Fig. 1 1 shows the holder 1 viewed from the side in a cross section.
