- Referring to
Figs. 3 ,4 and5 , the present invention provides aweft knitting machine 10 with changeable yarn positions, which is provided on aneedle bed 20 of a weft knitting machine, and the weft knitting machine is a circular knitting machine. Theweft knitting machine 10 comprises a plurality ofsinkers 11 and a plurality ofneedles 12, wherein the plurality ofsinkers 11 are arranged at equal intervals, and each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 comprises abelly 111, anose 112 connected with thebelly 111, and athroat 113 between thebelly 111 and thenose 112. A yarn-bearingsurface 114 of each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 is located on a side of thenose 112 without facing thethroat 113, and the yarn-bearingsurface 114 is not limited by a plane and is able to be designed according to implementation requirements. On the other hand, a yarn-pushingsurface 115 is located at an end of thenose 112, the yarn-pushingsurface 115 is flat in this embodiment, but is not so limited and is able to be designed according to the implementation requirements. Further, each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 of the present invention is guided by asinker guide plate 13 to perform alinear displacement movement 116. Further, thelinear displacement movement 116 is actually a one-dimensional movement. - Referring to
Figs. 3 ,4 ,5 and6 , the plurality ofneedles 12 are disposed adjacent to one of the plurality ofsinkers 11 respectively, that is, each of the plurality ofneedles 12 is disposed between any two of the plurality ofsinkers 11 that are adjacent. Each of the plurality ofneedles 12 comprises ahook 121 and alatch 122 performing a closing action where is relative to thehook 121. Further, when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 moves to hook a yarn, thelatch 122 performs opening relative to thehook 121 so that the yarn is able to enter thehook 121. Furthermore, when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 is retracted, thelatch 122 performs the closing action in the direction towards thehook 121 due to the action of a previous knittedplating 50, closing the originally open portion of thehook 121. Further, the plurality ofneedles 12 of the present invention are arranged in a direction that the open portion of thehook 121 faces thethroat 113 adjacent to one of the plurality ofsinkers 11, as shown inFig. 6 . Further, the motion direction of the plurality ofneedles 12 of the present invention is perpendicular to the direction of thelinear displacement movement 116, and the plurality ofneedles 12 are controlled by aneedle guide plate 14 respectively for guiding each of the plurality ofneedles 12 to move in a firstneedle retracting track 40 or a secondneedle retracting track 41. Further, each of the plurality ofneedles 12 is controlled by a needle selector (not shown in the drawings). Furthermore, a time point for thelatch 122 of each of the plurality of theneedles 12 performing the closing action in the secondneedle retracting track 41 is earlier than in the firstneedle retracting track 40. - Referring to
Figs. 3 ,4 and5 , theweft knitting machine 10 receives a facingyarn 30 and abottom yarn 31 positioned below the facingyarn 30 that are fed by a yarn-feeding device (not shown in the drawings) during knitting. In one embodiment, the color of the facingyarn 30 is different color from the color of thebottom yarn 31. Specifically, herein presenting inaction of the plurality ofneedles 12 explains the relationship among each of the plurality ofsinkers 11, the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 for the moment. Thus, each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 is guided by thesinker guide plate 13 to carry out thelinear displacement movement 116, and in the process of thelinear displacement movement 116, the facingyarn 30 is always positioned above thenose 112, and thebottom yarn 31 is always positioned in thethroat 113. Further, each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 only performs one-dimensional movement. - With reference to
Figs. 4 ,6 and7 , the operation of each of the plurality ofneedles 12 is explained by illustrating the overall operation of theweft knitting machine 10. Accordingly, when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 moves in the firstneedle retracting track 40, each of the plurality ofneedles 12 knits a standard plating without changing positions of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 in thehook 121, and the so-called "the standard plating" refers to a plating in which the facingyarn 30 is positioned above thebottom yarn 31 when viewing from a technical face of a fabric. Then referring toFigs. 8 ,9 and10 , when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 of the present invention moves in the secondneedle retracting track 41 that one of the plurality ofsinkers 11 adjacent to each of the plurality ofneedles 12 does not restrict positions of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31, thelatch 122 dials thebottom yarn 31 to make thebottom yarn 31 be pushed by thenose 112 of the plurality ofsinkers 11, so as to change the positions of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 in thehook 121, then to knit an interchanged plating. The so-called "the interchanged plating" refers to a plating in which the facingyarn 30 is positioned under thebottom yarn 31 when viewing from the technical face of the fabric. Thus, the motion of the plurality ofneedles 12 in the firstneedle retracting track 40 or the secondneedle retracting track 41 determines whether theweft knitting machine 10 of the present invention changes the position of the yarn. - Referring to
Fig. 4 ,6 and7 , each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 only comprises onemotion track 42 that recurring operations of afirst retraction section 421, a first push-outsection 422 subsequent to thefirst retraction section 421, asecond retraction section 423 subsequent to the first push-outsection 422, and a second push-outsection 424 subsequent to thesecond retraction section 423. Here, the retraction of is defined that each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 moves in a direction opposing to the feeding point of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31, so that the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 are not restricted by the plurality ofsinkers 11. Further, the push-out action is defined that after the retraction each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 moves toward the feeding point of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31, so that the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 are restricted by the plurality ofsinkers 11 and unable to change position. Thus, each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 in each section of themotion track 42 varies the position continuously, rather than being located at a single location. Referring toFigs. 4 ,6 and7 , when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 moves in the firstneedle retracting track 40, the time point for thelatch 122 generating the closing action is that one of the plurality ofsinkers 11 adjacent to thelatch 122 moves to thesecond retraction section 423. Thus, the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 are hooked by thehook 121 in a state of being initially fed into theweft knitting machine 10. Referring toFigs. 4 ,8 ,9 and10 , on the other hand, when each of the plurality ofneedles 12 moves in the secondneedle retracting track 41, the time point for thelatch 122 generating the closing action is that one of the plurality ofsinkers 11 adjacent to thelatch 122 moves to the first push-outsection 422. In detail, the time point for thelatch 122 generating the closing action is not at the end point of the first push-outsection 422, and is a stage that each of the plurality ofsinkers 11 still does not restrict the position of the facingyarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 in the first push-outsection 422 instead. Therefore, when thelatch 122 of each of the plurality ofneedles 12 performs the closing action, thebottom yarn 31 is dialed so that thebottom yarn 31 is diverged from the original position and is positioned on the displacement track of thenose 112 adjacent to one of the plurality ofsinkers 11, and the plurality ofsinkers 11 continuously performing a pushing action is allowing the yarn-pushingsurface 115 to push thebottom yarn 31, so as to change the position of thebottom yarn 31 relative to the facingyarn 30 until thehook 121 of one of the plurality ofneedles 12 is hooked. - Accordingly, the weft knitting machine performs position change at the position where the facing
yarn 30 and thebottom yarn 31 are fed into the hook to perform jacquard knitting. Compared with the conventional, the yarn changing reaction time of theweft knitting machine 10 is real-time, and the problem that patterns of a fabric appears after image due to slow yarn changing reaction speed of the conventional can be solved.
