Description
The present invention relates to the general field of ecology and environmental protection. It is more particularly aimed at the recovery of bullets projected with firearms on a sports and/or professional shooting range.
To train to shoot at targets with firearms such as, for example, rifles, assault rifles or even pistols, it is known to use sports and/or professional shooting ranges. Conventionally, these shooting ranges comprise large mounds for stopping shots consisting of a mixture of earth, sand and/or gravel and in front of which the targets are positioned. The purpose of these butts is to absorb the projected bullets by preventing the latter, once the targets have been crossed, from ricocheting and/or leaving the shooting ranges. These stop butts are certainly effective but have, because of their constitution, the major drawback of making it difficult or even almost impossible to recover all the projected balls. Therefore, these stop butts, which can contain large quantities of projected bullets, potentially represent a risk of contamination of the associated shooting range and more generally of the environment, since the projected bullets are mainly made up of heavy metals such as as lead, zinc, copper and antimony.
In addition, a French standard is currently being studied to make the depollution of sports and/or professional shooting ranges compulsory and, consequently, the recovery of all projected bullets.
The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the known stop mounds of shooting ranges by proposing a device that is simple to implement and makes it possible to recover, in a sustainable and rapid manner, all of the projected bullets and therefore to avoid any contamination of the associated shooting range and more generally of the environment.
- a rear partition being a plate impermeable to projected bullets comprising along its lower or upper edge a deflector,
- a plurality of deflecting elements arranged in front of said shaped partition to deflect the projected balls in the direction of said deflector, and
- a gutter for recovering projected bullets disposed at least in part under the rear partition - deflector elements assembly,
The recovery device may comprise a front partition permeable to projected bullets arranged in front of the deflecting elements.
Advantageously, the front partition extends substantially vertically and comprises at least one stretched front canvas made from a non-rigid and non-fragile material.
The front partition further comprises a rear fabric similar to the front fabric and stretched substantially parallel to the latter on the side of the deflecting elements, the spacing between the front and rear fabrics being advantageously adjustable.
The front bulkhead also has a shock-absorbing layer placed between the front and rear fabrics.
The rear partition advantageously has an inclination oriented towards the deflector, according to the direction of movement of the projected balls.
The deflecting elements are preferably plates arranged one above the other and having an inclination oriented towards the deflector of the rear partition, according to the direction of movement of the projected bullets.
The deflecting elements advantageously have a curvature oriented towards said deflector.
The recovery gutter is laid out in the ground S of the shooting ranges.
The recovery device advantageously comprises a guide plate joining the bottom of the rear partition inside the recovery channel.

The term "front" designates here an element or part of an element arranged on the side of the shooters and by "rear" an element or part of an element arranged on the opposite side. Furthermore, the term "permeable to projected bullets" here denotes the fact that the front partition 2 is configured to not allow the projected bullets to be stopped, but just to absorb part of the kinetic energy of said projected bullets in order to slow down the latter once said front wall 2 crossing. Conversely, the term "impermeable to projected bullets" here denotes the fact that the
Given the function of the front partition 2, which is only to slow down projected bullets, it is clear that depending on the types of firearms and calibers of the cartridges used, the recovery device 1 may not include a front partition 2, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Assuming a recovery device 1 comprising a front partition 2, the latter is generally rectangular or parallelepipedic in shape and extends substantially vertically and parallel to the firing positions where the shooters are positioned.
The term "substantially vertically" denotes here the fact that an element or part of an element forms an angle with respect to the ground S of between 45 and 90 degrees.
It is well understood that the front partition 2 will have a resistance to perforation adapted to the firearms and calibers of the cartridges used. To do this, the front partition 2 comprises at least one stretched front canvas 6 made from a non-rigid and non-fragile material such as, for example, rubber.
According to an embodiment requiring greater resistance to perforation, the front partition 2 further comprises a
According to an embodiment requiring even greater resistance to perforation, the front partition 2 further comprises a
The rear partition 3 is a plate, advantageously metallic, comprising along its upper edge a deflector 9, the cross-section of which is in the general shape of a C so as to fold against said rear partition 3 the projected balls deflected by the latter. To deflect the balls projected into the deflector 9, said rear partition 3 advantageously has an inclination oriented towards the deflector 9, according to the direction of movement of the projected balls. The
According to an embodiment not shown, the rear partition of the recovery device 1 comprises a deflector along its lower edge, said one deflector being then inclined relative to the horizontal and also acts as a chute to guide the projected balls deflected into the
Similarly, the rear partition 3 is advantageously a generally flat plate, but it may also have a curvature oriented towards its deflector 9 to deflect projected balls progressively.
Furthermore, according to an advantageous embodiment, the front and rear partitions 2.3 are parallel to each other.
The
Thus, with this configuration of the bullet recovery device 1 according to the invention, once fired by the firearms of the shooters, the projected bullets are, if necessary, first of all braked during the crossing of the front partition 2, they are then deflected by the deflecting
It is well understood that with this configuration all of the projected balls are easily recovered without the use of special technical means such as excavators or trucks. Likewise, the bullet recovery device 1 according to the invention is durable because it will eventually only be necessary to replace the constituent elements of the front partition 2.
The bullet recovery device 1 according to the invention applies more particularly to shooting ranges for sports and/or professional shooters using firearms, but it can also be used for archery or archery shooting. 'crossbow. Finally, it goes without saying that the examples of recovery device 1 in accordance with the invention which have just been described are only particular illustrations, in no way limiting the invention which is defined by the claims below.
